Great job on the Spanish, you should try the Gulf State Park Pier during springtime. They run pretty well in the early morning hours and evening's when its warm.
@Fishing4Reel Yeah, it's been a little tricky with the weather lately. They usually wont run this late in the year. Usually they'll start in March or early April, and run until September, just before the kingfish bite in October, that's when the Spanish usually head down to Central Florida and the keys. There's also the wind and tempuratures to consider too. Any days that have 8 mph or less winds and 75 to 80 degree water is usually the best, not sure why, but sometimes they can be a bit picky about that.
@Fishing4Reel You are very welcome, Its a wild ride. They'll rip a few dozen yards, then stop, then rip a few more off until worn down. In Navarre and Okaloosa, you moreso have to worry about Dolphins stealing your king, in Gulf Shores it's the sharks. 15lb mono or 30lb braid isn't bad for a starter setup, though you'll need a rod that's a little more flimsy for casting out live scaled sardines or Cigar minnows.
Poor bird!! Thank you for rescuing him!! You're AWESOME!! ❤️❤️❤️
@@krazydazy1495 Why yes I am.🤣
Great job, thanks for the video and bird rescue.
@@NeoDon1 Welcome. It turned out to be a good opportunity after all. Hopefully, it helped the bird be able to fly and feed better.
That's a neat looking spot.
It really is.

@@matthewmoore170 I will certainly have to give it a try. I'm still trying to figure out the migrations here.

@@matthewmoore170 Thanks for the info. I'm looking forward to trying for some kings. I've never hooked into one.
