As a long time classic Dr Who fan without much interest in Star Trek, I must say how impressed and amazed I am at how good these productions are. Well done all ❤
Fantastic! Vic Mignogna's directing is always right on point to look like authentic Star Trek! A wonderful Shakespearean tragedy with amazing special effects and superb acting!! Conratulations to the whole crew, onscreen and off! The Woods Family
Well that took a dark turn 😢 Very nice use of all the sets and some interesting camera angles. Vic directing, doing the music and hamming it up as a Klingon.
Yes, that is why I am here. I am so glad I discovered you. Channels and Fan productions like this is what will keep the Star Trek franchise alive and well. Thank you.
One of the best Star Trek fan films that’s ever been made and huge shoutout to my man Dan Martin , who was absolutely fantastic as was the entire cast . This was edited beautifully & was so well written
During the film I thought directly. This ship and this cast is great. I'd like to see more of it. Well, that didn't work out so well😅. A great story, outstanding actors, you can see that a lot of fan love went into the film. For me personally, a little Diamond. Many thanks to everyone who was involved in the film!🎉
They could always make prequel episodes with this cast. I totally agree, everyone was fantastic in their roles! I need to see more Trek from everyone here. 😍
DAMN!! I could not believe how good this was.. Reminded me of the GREAT series "Continues" . Vic, if you ever read this, I'd like to shake your hand! Live Long and Prosper!
This. Is. OUTSTANDING! I have always wanted to see the ORIGINAL series brought back to life. My late Brother and I always said it'd be a great idea. THIS does it. Everything has the vibes / chemistry of the original. Standing O from me!
Vic Mignona and The Neutral Zone crew did another great show...This one was taught, claustrophobic and well-presented...A very good addition to the TNZ Studio's legacy as one of the best fan production facilities on Earth. Bravo😬
Finally got to watch it and I must say I loved it!! Look forward to seeing more fan films made. I would love to be an extra in one of the films. I live an hour away from the studio in kingsland.
The VFX are incredible. Looks just like watching the HD remasters of the Original Series. The story itself is great, I just wish it was actually full episode length so we could get a little more from the characters. The guy playing the Romulan Commander is a standout. He has that 60’s Trek villain vibe down. Great casting and acting there. Some of the other acting is uneven, but given that it’s a fan film that is to be expected to a degree. Kudos to all involved.
Amazing job to the entire cast & crew. As a former Trek fan film creator/producer, very well done; I’m excited. Felt like I was watching an actual TOS episode. Love the story too. Something different. 🖖🏽
I have to admit that I started this video with very low expectations. I was extremely happy to be surprised by the high quality production, thanks so much for this!!!!
WOW!!! We need more, I can see a whole series of videos on different ships and expanding the Star Trek universe, kind of like how Disney is expanding Star Wars. Great job Vic.
🖖😎👍Very totally cool and very Nicely Greatly Spectaculary well done and executed in every wonderful detail way shape and format provided by you one and all, this is truly one of the greatest fabulously Fan based films that I have seen so far in quite a long time indeed!👌.
Neutral Zone Studios continues to be the last keeper of the most thought-provoking aspects of Star Trek canon. Bravo! And thank you for not breaking out into opera or rehashing holodeck safety interlocks for the 30th time!
Grim tale. Acting and action quite good. I can see Section 31 hand in the aftermath of these events. The command crew were very brave. I would enjoy more adventures.
If I had not known in advance and had been looking for Dave Arland, there is no possibility I would have recognized him as the Romulan Commander. Excellent make-up job. Fantastic mannerisms. You always were one for portraying Characters, Mr Bumble. Looked like you were having a blast.. I am so Jealous. If you ever decide to do this again, let me know. Perhaps I could play a dead bridge crew member or a red shirt. I could be a really annoying Harcourt Vincent Mudd…😅.. or Maybe a fat Forengi theif. Great job guys and gals.
A load of Trek fan films have popped up on my TH-cam feed of late and have been of middling quality, so this was a very welcome upgrade. Good acting (apart from the pantomime Klingons) and a script which sounds like it’s been written and rewritten until it sounds right. Often fan films have their characters speaking in long monologues of boring and unnecessary words, but this one is on point. Good direction too from Vic. Well done all round
I have 40 years in the business in significant creative roles including producing and directing, mostly higher-end NYC gigs. Gigantic applause! Better bridge lighting and cinematography than on the original series. Original transporter effect re-creation is particularly appreciated. Great on all levels. Kudos to all.
Wow! This was a good episode. Loved it and the story was “spot on” on awesome. Glad to see Vic M is still doing Star Trek. I love Star Trek Continues. Great job and I am a fan of this channel.
better than expected by a good bit. The Story was excellent. The effects were very good. The acting, needs work, but if more like this could be produced the acting would get better, and I would like to see that happen. 4 stars
I'll have to think about this one. While I do, I say the production was superb. The story was well executed. And the acting? What can I say? In this current age of underacting and blaahhh performances in so many movies and shows, I found the performances of these folks very, very refreshing. I've never heard of these actors. I don't know the characters. But despite that, they had my total attention. That means they did their jobs well.
About this particular Starfleet secret, How would Starfleet keep this kind of a secret? We are talking about the remaining families and friends of 400 officers & crew of the USS Cherokee that has been deleted, from Starfleet records. How would Starfleet keep all of those remaining people of the officers & crew silent? We are talking about having thousands of people who will obviously notice their family member or friend that has vanished from existence along with their last known posting, namely the USS Cherokee. Somebody is bound to ask some hard questions. Starfleet cannot just submit a statement that the USS Cherokee never existed, too many people would know of that ship. As for the rest of the story, well written and executed, in other words, well done to all.
@@superboats2 I’m sure Star Fleet has contingency plans for that sort of thing. After all, what about the Discovery being kept top secret? I’m sure they had families on board.
@@DavidNicholson101 If you are referring to the spore drive, yes, the entire crew would be sworn to secrecy, it's not quite the same as an entire starship & crew being not only lost, but deleted from the Starfleet registry and archives. It would be simpler just to file the starship as lost with all hands in space. I'm sure that that sort of thing happens from time to time. Deleting the starship including all hands just raises more questions from all involved and/or affected. This is from a retired US Navy sailor's perspective.
Wow, this is mind blowing! I so needed this right now! I have a nostalgia ache in my heart. Going to re watch. Epic! Spotted Vic as a Klingon right away!!! AMAZING! Thank you.
Spectacular!! Vic Mignogna as a KLINGON?!!! GREAT STUFF!! Top notch!! Thanks to all involved, I'm sure you all had so much fun making this!! Keep up the good work!! The Great Bird of the Galaxy would be proud!!!
This is an amazing piece of storytelling! I still can’t believe that I am enjoying a show I grew up with in the 60’s in 2023 and beyond! I just met these characters and feel like I have known them for years! Great acting! The sets look awesome and I can’t wait to visit the studio in the future. As a navy veteran, the story definitely resonated with me. My next drink (an old fashion 🥃) will be a toast to the USS Cherokee! Great job everyone!
From what I’ve seen so far, the acting is more natural; it was like looking at an episode from the 60s, and I like how you threw in appropriate soundtracks from the Star Trek movies! You did Gene Roddenberry proud! 🖖
Sounds like The people on the 2nd Plane that crashed into the World Twin Towers I read somewhere that a passenger said to the others We're about to die but theres no reason we cant try to stop him those people never came back home to the Family and Friends that grieve the deaths
Excellent work @Dan Martin and the whole crew of the lost starship. Congratulations! It is a relief to see that engineering was not just sitting lame ducks. :)
Hey, that was pretty darn good! Cast did a great job, too. Gotta point out, though, no military would have a single field officer holding so much information about the defenses of his nation/planet/federation. I suspect that Gene Roddenberry wouldn't have cared for the hypocritical light in which the Federation gets shone here.
Thank Dave Cullen for this sub. this was great. edit - talk about getting to like the characters and then "poof". now off to the 3d printer for my own U.S.S. Cherokee.
Tragic but also heroic; it's definitely established canon that the Federation has had its share of covert-never-happened missions and "incidents". One minor nitpick: if the crew's families were told they all died in a training exercise, how could the Cherokee have "never existed"?
Are you kidding this was a fan film? The production of this was better than the big budget studios!!! NO LIE! How come 20 minute fan films can absolutely BLOW AWAY the big budget studio productions! No wonder CBS is quaking in their boots from fan produced Star Trek films, because they know they are outright competition for them!!!
Acting as good as I've seen in a Trek fan film, good direction, and a nice story.
Top notch CGI too!
As a long time classic Dr Who fan without much interest in Star Trek, I must say how impressed and amazed I am at how good these productions are. Well done all ❤

The Woods Family
Paramount has not silenced Vic. Good show! Good direction! Good story. Solid Trek!
Vic Mignogna knows how to move the camera and get all the right angles.
Also the editing is in that old style.
He gives it a real Trek retro feel.
Vic Mignogna rules! He is a great addition to the Star Trek universe! They should have him guest star on Strange New Worlds. 🙂
This is the best Star Trek fan film ever!
EXCELLENT episode. EXCELLENT.
Worthy of the franchise.
Well that took a dark turn 😢 Very nice use of all the sets and some interesting camera angles. Vic directing, doing the music and hamming it up as a Klingon.
That was great. Especially loved the FO stating "When people are fine, sir, they don't yell it." True in science fiction and in real life.
Dave Cullen gave you a great shout out
Yes, that is why I am here. I am so glad I discovered you. Channels and Fan productions like this is what will keep the Star Trek franchise alive and well. Thank you.
I've heard of unsung heroes but, holy God that's cold. They deserved better. May history always remember the name... Cherokee.
One of the best Star Trek fan films that’s ever been made and huge shoutout to my man Dan Martin , who was absolutely fantastic as was the entire cast . This was edited beautifully & was so well written
I love the bit part of the Klingon flunky played by Vic Mignogna! Busted up laughing!
the best show I've seen in a very long time
This is better than ANY of the post Enterprise Star Trek shows and movies. Well done.

I really liked the crew and the ramming into the other ship said these people won’t return, but maybe they will in different roles.
They could always make prequel episodes with this cast. I totally agree, everyone was fantastic in their roles! I need to see more Trek from everyone here. 😍
I just watched this on the Avalon channel. Superbly done. Paramount quality.

This made my day! Excellent writing, acting and effects. Cinematography was better than many "real" episodes! Thanks to all who created!!
Wow! This was an excellent film! Great story-definitely didn’t see that ending coming! Great job by the entire team!
Captain Hovis? Oh, I thought he was Finnegan, at first. Very touching story, I was truly watching a TOS episode, about another ship in the fleet.
