Honestly I've been struggling massively with being consistent and creative with the content I put out and overall marketing. This video has definitely opened my eyes.
Hey! Just watched the video on marketing your music in 2024. Love the straight talk approach. Attract, retain, convert-sounds like the winning formula. Thanks for breaking it down!
I don’t struggle with creativity or good content I just have trouble reaching the audience and browning my audience more consistently and rapidly I just don’t how to target my audience effectively til the point I’ve lost my google panel
I produce Drum and Bass which is mostly instrumental so i do feel like im already halfway behind everyone else because people obviously love "sign-along" type stuff. The upside is that i also DJ so i can push my music out there locally. Marketing campaigns are pretty difficult.. especially when you're planning one for every single you put out.
Just found your channel... Love the straight talk! I definitely need to work on consistency. I've gotten some decent traction with shorts, but not much with my actual music content.
Ive been doing this for our band. We get the most views on tiktok. Twitter, instagram, youtube shorts feels almost barren. I really want to engage with our audience but no one ever comments, im unsure of how to get people to interact with us more so we can build that engagement. We've posted memes to fit with our music, we've tried starting an ARG related to our songs, we tried even just talking directly to our audience. No idea why no one comments, its not like we aren't trying, we WANT to engage. Just no one talks lol even on highly viewed and liked vids.
"the commercials and the images make you aware of what's coming, and the interviews and other human interactions hook us into a perceived connection with the actual characters" so simple, but so well put thank you
I am really serious, but I don't know anything about playlisting, and the other music biz stuff. I can do social media, advertising, making the music and the videos... But all of that other stuff like placements? Where do I go?
Hey Adam, I really like the video, and it has assured me that growing an audience through content and real means is the way to go (I guess we truly live in an attention economy). I like the way you lead by example, with a fast paced and knowledge packed video that is professionally presented. This has given me all the more inspiration to make the perfect piece of content (today) promoting my beats business/new single. It was after I watched your beats guide that I subbed and gave you the bell, you spoke of your own experience (the number of people you messaged a day) and it has helped, I am finally getting sales by being proactive. I will keep that notification bell, I can't wait for more videos, and maybe even one day to work with you directly!🤘🤘
Whatsup Adam! One of my music buddies, Travis Christian joined your program and had great things to say. I'm looking into joining sometime down the road. Thanks for what you do!
Fire video as always bro 🔥🔥 Got a question, should make 1 type beat channel for 2-3 different artists or 2 seperate type beat channels for 2 seperate artists?
I'm really good at attracting but not so great at retaining. People only stick around for a few months so this is an area I'm working on. Was thinking Patreon but I have absolutely no idea what to offer.
If your songs are original, they’re already copyrighted to you. Copyright law is automatic. I imagine, however, that you mean the extra protections that absolutely ensure you can sue people for using your music. Do yourself a favor and check out some of the places that distribute music, because some of them will actually have a built-in service that gives you those copyright protections and then some, saving you a whole lot of headaches trying to do it yourself.
My issue is i know my audience and the type music to push but i do not know the services best used for getting my music out there. Once i am seen i know i can hold the attention but instagram ads or the ads ive done just don’t seem like enough. And i dont mind spending money but idek where to.
Thanks bro, been watching your videos a lot recently since i am about to start releasing music again. i will def join with you by friday when i release! ~Pariahh
Tiktok mutes the audio on my own distributed music clips citing 'copyrighted sound, unavailable for use.' I own all the rights to my music. Clips are under 30 seconds. How can I promote my music if Tiktok mutes the sound?
Only an idiot would depend on their streaming income. That’s like going to a wings place and just ordering ranch dressing. That said, plenty of artists making thousands on Spotify. Saying that streaming is dead is almost comical because it’s something people who get low streams say to validate their failures. Not saying that you. Just saying that streaming is just one puzzle piece and people can still get paid.
@adamivy My motivation is still present, but it is slowly fading due to being let every single time that I get my hopes up. I don’t have a team because people have betrayed me countless times. I try to stay off of social media because of all of the drama & my job takes up 1/2-3/4 of my time EVERY SINGLE DAY! What would you suggest I do, so I could leave my job IMMEDIATELY to focus on being a Musician FULL-TIME and finally invest in myself?
What is the #1 thing you've been struggling with as you pursue your music career? Let me know so I can do my best to help. You're not alone in this.
I need some real help with that
Having the budget to outsource a bit more.
Where can I get the hoodie you are wearing?
Risk taking
Getting my social media followers to actually go check out my songs
I got an single, ep or album each month. It's not easy but I done a song every morning from 6 to 11am doing acid music
Let’s goooo!
What's the update cuh
Update us!!!
Honestly I've been struggling massively with being consistent and creative with the content I put out and overall marketing. This video has definitely opened my eyes.
Glad you found it!
Same here
Just checked out your music and website bro all is 🔥🔥🔥

The key is, keep trying all these things. And look towards a year or two. Not a month from now
Amen!

Sheeeeeesh Adam you killed this! New videos are looking clean man - helped tie some of the former learnings I got from your course in a great way

Welcome to the channel! I’m glad you found value in it.
Tbh Sometimes I don’t think my music is good enough because I put my all into it :( but this will help so thank you!
Love your work Adam, glad to see you're still helping new folks out there! Much love from Central FL 🤘💚

1 channel for all artists. Dont spread yourself to thin build up one channel
Hey Adam! Do you think you’ll ever do an updated 2 week fan base challenge?
I'm really good at attracting but not so great at retaining. People only stick around for a few months so this is an area I'm working on. Was thinking Patreon but I have absolutely no idea what to offer.
You can offer exclusive content like unreleased music ,behind the scenes videos, early access, merch drops, signed physical items and so much more.
Adam dropping facts as usual 💪💪
Always enjoy your videos very informative
yes!! i’m locked in for musician hub!!
Let’s goooooo!
Very informative thank you
I am 24 right now but I don't know where to start but I believe I can do we
I've made a few songs, but I want to get them copyrighted before releasing them. Any idea on how I can do that?
If you're in the US there are tons of step by step tutorials on how to submit for copyright with the USPO. It's pretty straight forward.
Adam Ivy, I have missed you. So glad to have found you again! Thanks for your great great greeeaaat videos!
I appreciate that man. Thank you. I'm trying to be more intentional with my videos so they can provide the most value.
I wish I could get a chance to be in that musicians Hub

Ads are a waste of money until you know how to connect with your audience organically. Don’t worry about spending the money. Spend the time first.
You did well!
Thanks for the insight. 😊
My pleasure!
To investigate in my career I need my job though it doesn't pay much and It keeps me busy and I couldn't get enough time for my career
Thank you for the insparation!
You are so welcome!
Thanks bro, been watching your videos a lot recently since i am about to start releasing music again. i will def join with you by friday when i release! ~Pariahh

Don't use tiktok. Which is also banned in US 😂 easy
I pay a damn distributor that yeah it distributes my songs to different platforms
but I never get clicks
I don't know what else I need to do.
Which distributor are you using?
@@adamivy distrokid
I boosted my posts on instagram and im getting likes but still no one on spotify 🤣
@@GattoriSanchokeep releasing on a monthly basis. They'll come.
I have songs on songs but just getting a listen is the hardest part!
Great idea
I've been stuck in the same loop for years hopefully im about to break it👀
Im doing music too even tho im so talented I ain’t getting the right audience
Amen brother 🙏

Glad you liked it!
Good video 💪🏽
Thank you!
You see I am a writer but my friends are the one who listen to them.
💯🔥
I found an Adam Ivy in San Andreas Multiplayer, was that you?😂
Playlisting
What about playlisting are you interested in?
one step at a time.
Did he say something ?
Everyone on youtube have all the answers, apparently you too and services to sell as well...
Listen to lul oop tough
You are literally the Alex Hormozi of the music world. ❤
You gotta make good music not all the crap most of you people put out on Spotify
This is more important than people think. That and target the correct market/fanbase/similar Artist.
But streaming is dead. If you’re trying to make a living with music streaming, is not going to get it with the new rules in place.
Only an idiot would depend on their streaming income. That’s like going to a wings place and just ordering ranch dressing. That said, plenty of artists making thousands on Spotify. Just saying that streaming is just one puzzle piece and people can still get paid.
@@adamivy can you please point me to the vids on how to profit not just on streaming alone. Not an idiot just trying to learn
