Thank you for this. A Festival of Scotland, with opportunities to learn about Scottish history and constitution, laws etc, is a good idea, as long as it didn't involve tampering by UK/scotgov. Bringing in people/groups like Bruce Fummey (Scottish History Tours), Salvo, Common Weal and others could offer a rich, enjoyable and informative, perhaps empowering, experience.
Respect to Catalonia but is it not different in terms of constitutional situation than in Scotland? It should be about democracy of course, the will of the people should top all, but that seems to have been thrown to the dogs across the globe.
Yes, we are in a different constitutional situation. It's not an easy one for Catalans given the limitations on leaving Spain in their constitution. But it’s not exactly an advantage for us that there is no written constitution in UK. Means that what is considered’constituional’ is the opinion of the current government.
