Scotgov's idea of holding onto the gbp is like escaping from jail but staying handcuffed to a policeman. Snp seems incapable of accepting any view outside their own, be it currency, ferries, regaining independence or even standing up for Scotland while still in the union. Lots of good stuff in this conference. Strategy and preparation are vital.

Thank you for this. A Festival of Scotland, with opportunities to learn about Scottish history and constitution, laws etc, is a good idea, as long as it didn't involve tampering by UK/scotgov. Bringing in people/groups like Bruce Fummey (Scottish History Tours), Salvo, Common Weal and others could offer a rich, enjoyable and informative, perhaps empowering, experience.

Thanks for airing this, a useful conference and yes, we need to build and strengthen these international contacts as well as work more effectively together within Scotland.

benefit cap is a good idea but should go further - you should be paying people NOT to have kids - say 1 kid get £50 per week child benefit 2 kids still £50 per week ( not per kid but total) and 3 or more kids you get NOTHING - world is overpopulated STOP paying people to have more kids

in Denmark we have many parties, which makes for a better dialogue. and the journalists are constantly after them if they lie or are malicious so they are forced to behave properly
