It's still no slouch...wonder how the new one coming out will fair? Maybe close to Milwaukee with a new 8 amp hour battery? It's rated to be about 50 to 100 inch pounds less though. Maybe if the Milwaukee has a 5 amp hour and the new Ridgid (the more powerful brushless) with the new 8 amp hour battery would be a draw?! Cool to see when it comes out. 👍🤘
Ridgid now has a hi torque drill wich i think is now better than the milwaukee. I've used both brands and milwaukee cant keep up with the hi torque. Idk how new the milwaukee drill in this video is but i do agree that the Ridgid octane wasn't as good because i own it too.
Interested to see you run a test using the new EXP Ridgid 8amp rocking 21700's. Too bad that 6amp Octane is running 18650's. Pretty sure more EXP batteries are on the way so that be cool too see a 6, 9, 12 EXP versions since they seem to have detuned there tool lineup. I think the more powerful EXP batteries is Ridgid's answer to offset the power loss and keep up without upsetting TTI Big Red😜
@@ToolswithSoAlz I run both Milwaukee and Ridgid. I was lucky enough to invest in a good amount of 3Ah Octane batteries so thats my go too battery the majority of the time. My Milwaukee's run the same 3Ah HO's for weight savings. If you do have both the 3Ah in both platforms that be a pretty apples to apples comparison 👍🏼
One thing to note is the rigid had to drill through a knot, you can tell right where it caught it too. I mean obviously the Milwaukee would've still won but just saying the rigid probably would have done a little better in a different spot, it also looked like while it was on drill mode the torque setting wasn't at the highest. I'd still rather have the Milwaukee but the rigid isn't a bad tool and price definitely helps it out!
You're only talking about the Milwaukee Fuel line. Everything else they make is garbage. The non-Fuel stuff actually costs more than the Ridgid. Hmmm...interesting because the Ridgid is close, on rare occasions is better, then the Fuel. So, really what you're trying to do is justify your purchases and ignore the aspects of your brand that doesn't perform as well.
Hi What would make a better mixer a gen 4 Milwaukee hammer drill or DeWalt dcd999 I have the option to choose tomorrow I really appreciate it thank you
Milwaukee did win. But there was a few Octane items ridgid made that Torque Test Channel showed beat Milwaukee. Shortly there after, Octane series was dropped. They were making the middle brand of TTI too powerfull
@@ToolswithSoAlz Agree. TTC also showed that the Ridgid Max Output brushless 1/2 inch impact wrench put out more foot pounds of torque than the comparable Milwaukee Fuel. That was definitely an eye opener. Good for Ridgid 👍
@@ToolswithSoAlz only their drills and sawzalls dont last. My brother and i both have needed rebuilds within the first year. In sincr the gn 5x kit came out my brother has gone through 3 drills and 4 sawzalls. Powerful, but cheap crap. I was a big fan until they started breaking. No problems with the impacts tho

I have been waiting rather impatiently myself

Either way both got the job done. One was just a tad bit slower And one is cheaper than the other. Both are money makers. 🤑
They are both really good
@nsxproperties560 That's great and all, but it's not true. I own both and the Octane doesn't hold a candle

I will see what I can do

Knew you had it somewhere! Nice.
Of course
These days It's more about the bits and less about the driver.
I can see that
Does the newer top model brushless rigid perform better than at octane or is it less powerful because it's rated at a lower torque rating?
I haven't tried it with the auger so I don't know
Mr so alz slackin on the new m18 forge batteries?
Gee this is only a year old video. How many have you done?
I seen that knot in the wood 🧐
Ok

Drill mode bypasses the transmission
Speed 1 has more torque than speed 2 is what i think he was referring to
I'd take the Milwaukee over the Ridgid any day of the week even without this comparison. They're just better tools.

@buysell3515 my pleasure
No try it with no knots in the wood
Oh brother
Milwaukee definitly.
milwaukee wins all the time
Maybe, maybe not
@@ToolswithSoAlz well we all know that milwaukee can beat ridged and ryobi
Do we? That's alright because this is just the Gen 4 working its way through every brand

Milwaukee 4 da win
I could watch any tools video with a let’s go Brandon stick in the background. I know you have common sense let’s go Brandon
No one asked to turn any video into politics.

It is much less powerful
They need a more powerful top model than. I'm holding out to replace my old brushed PC combo kit. With a Ridgid brushless one.
They have one coming out soon
