I would love for Nintendo to add rare random events that have a low chance of occurring on any day. This can be anything, such as the villagers deciding to have a bake sale where you can sell food and desserts that you cook or even a hurricane where the villagers stay inside, and your character gets blown around in the wind. I don't really care what it is, but just the slim chance of having something unusual or unexpected happen would make me want to pick up the game each day.
yes!! i feel like the one thing about acnh is that since there arent any more big updates coming up, theres not much to look forward & it gets quite repetitive and borderline boring for some people😅, me personally i never play consistently bcz although i love the game i get bored of it easily and lose motivation to play it sometimes.. so i think adding these little random fun events would def add that needed small change in the repetitiveness every so often :)
If they made an next Animal Crossing game, they better allow us to move Residential Service/City Hall. It doesn’t make sense consider all of the buildings; Museum, Abel Sister, Nook Cranny, Campsite, Villagers and our homes are able to move and relocate in different areas of our island but we can’t move the Residential Service/City Hall? Also allow us to change the exterior design of the Residential Service/City Hall, Museum, Abel Sister, Nook Cranny, and the Dodo Airline in different colors and design to match our aesthetic of our island and allow us to change our island name since I started to dislike the name I gave to my island.
i know right!! when i first started i placed my RS right in front on the airport :/ it gives me no room to make a super nice entrance to my island !! it's super annoying
Even if every single villager can't have individual dialogs, maybe a combination of personality/hobbies could be what determines what they say. Like a Lazy with the play hobby could probably have slightly different dialog from a Lazy with the nature hobby, and that would at least make villagers *seem* more individual.
Maybe villagers having at least two personalities and/or hobbies OR villagers personalities changing dependent on the time they spend on your island! Their personalities and hobbies could change and mix depending on what jobs and activities they partake in, the villagers they talk to, the gifts they receive, their overall environment, etc! I think this would make villagers very unique and interactive but would take a lot of testing and setting parameters I'm sure! Of course this villager may could keep their unique personality if they move to another island and the complaint about the villager in RS could reset this personality back to default! This all could also give to letting players have more say in conversations effectively more dialogue options that can affect the game past only future dialogue options with the villagers such as inspiring one of your villagers to be a chef and they gain interest in cooking and we can see if they take off with it or not throughout time.
And more personalities too… maybe sub personalities? Like star signs or something? All they’d have to do is code more dialogue rather than changing it completely
That feels natural and a great way to make diversity. I have two Jocks I love but they echo one another… I don’t want to let them go, but they’re pretty stale.
I really want to see a TON of new outdoor plants! More decorative trees, fruit trees, crops, berry bushes, sea oats, wild flowers, lily pads, reeds, and so much more. Their could also be a plant section added to the museum giving players another thing to collect.
The roommate idea got me thinking how fun it could be to be able to have relationships between villagers be something we could get more involved in. So far the interactions seem largely random, so it could be fun to see neighbors become friends and maybe even be willing to become roommates, opening up room for a new villager to move in. Also, customizable buildings like the town hall and train station in ACNL but applied to all buildings would be a fantastic next step in customizing our town exterior.
Things I want to see in the next Animal Crossing game: 1. More accessories (like jewelry and makeup) for the players 2. Secondary colors for our hair 3. Galaxy exhibit where we learn about the zodiac signs and their star fragments that opens every night at 6pm 4. We want more fruits and vegetables (like strawberries, grapes, cucumbers, etc.)
For me, I would love the idea of having to decide where you want to live. Although I do really love living on an island in New Horizons, I miss the simple feeling of just living in a town. For the next game we should decide if we want to live in a town, city, or even on an island! And also I'm not expecting the next game to release until 2027 or 2028.
I feel like the island is the perfect blank slate for any town theme. I would be disappointed if we went back to the mainland with cliffs defining the borders of the town. It would be nice though if they let up a bit on the tropical island theme and focused more on the small town vibes like in previous games.
@@RussGussDoodles i like the idea of choosing the terrain. if you pick a rural village in the woods, you get the cliffs on the sides, if you pick a bustling city/suburb there would skyscrapers lining the borders, if you pick a desert outpost it could be cacti and rusty barbed wire fencing, or you could pick a tropical oasis to get an island. :)
Idk. Considering past AC had around a 4 (maybe 5) year release time after each game ), 2024/25 wouldn't be out of the question (especially since it seems Nintendo has abandoned doing anything else with ACNH). Plus a new Animal Crossing would be a boon to sell the new console
I think the game could release at any point starting 2025, the switch is currently 5 years old and it will be 8 by that time so expecting a new console by then is very likely, and seeing how succesful this game was I think a game as early as that year is possible. I also fully agree with being able to choose what type of place you want to live in (town, island etc)
Please bring back Celestes observatory! I would love to have the opportunity to go and speak to her on days she wouldn't be visiting and then speak about different things such as star signs, constellations etc and learn little tidbits of information, like how Blathers can tell you about items you've donated. Then also she maybe could set tasks like "look through the telescope, what is this constellation" and if you choose the correct option, you could win a prize, such as the items Katrina sends when you have done purification. I can imagine this is possible, but I feel it would have less depth to it as I would imagine simply because Nintendo possibly wouldn't want to put too much into one small part of the game which people may just leave out.
My biggest wishes: -more buildings should come back -let us build tunnels and caves -let us build bridges witout the need of a river -much more interactive furniture (let me play this Pinball already) -free item movement (not just in squares) -and bring back more Nintendo themed items (Metroid,StarFox,Zelda etc.)
Give us the option to expand our villagers homes! I feel so bad when I walk into their homes and see they're living in a cramped house while I'm in a big house I can barely furnish due to its huge size. Let us have the option to expand their homes once we become best friends, or at least once we've done enough requests for them! Please let them have another floor, or expand the one they have!!!!
i really thought we might get this with the HHP options on our main island! kinda crap that their vacation homes are so much bigger and more luxurious than their actual everyday homes.
This really annoys me. Just one room… that we can’t decorate unless we gift the villager an item. I want to do what we can in hhp on my island! Why did they not do that?? Maybe in the next game.. 🤷🏼♀️
something i would LOVE to see them do with the next game is get to choose the exterior of EVERY building in your town, like you can do on the archipelago. they could even lock specific style options behind tiered upgrades, so you start out with just the basic uncustomizable nook's cranny, but the first upgrade they give you 2 design options for the exterior. the next upgrade you get 3 or 4, and the next upgrade you get the whole catalog of options. that would REALLY motivate and reward players to maximize use of the shops and buildings - say you can unlock museum remodels every time you complete a collection, so you can have a postmodern urban museum exterior or a rustic log-cabin museum for a wild outdoors themed island.
I would love a greenhouse where I can store extra plants/trees/out of season bushes. And a way to display extra DIYs to my friends so they can flip through a collection rather than a round-about process. Weirdly, I think it would be better if we had to do more work to change colors of stuff with Cyrus… like gathering flowers of a certain color or vegetables or something. Just being able to pay is convenient, but not as challenging.
Honestly I feel the exact opposite, I want Cyrus’s Customizing Job to go away. As a decorator it is SO annoying to go back to him to change the color of furniture. DIY kits should work on all furniture and all color variations should be purchasable from Nooks Cranny (the same way all clothing variations are available at Able Sisters). Also all variations should be cataloged when I buy the item, no more trading on Nookazon for the Dark Brown Border simple panel.
@@RussGussDoodles I can see that too. It would also be nice if all the wood furniture (for example) came in all the same color options so I wasn’t playing guessing games with the home evaluations.
I would LOVE to have a catalogue of sorts for our extra DIYS. I have 1/4th of my island littered with them, not wanting to throw them out, as well as furniture & clothes… I don’t want to hand 4 brown couches (for example) but I don’t want to just sell them either if someone could use them. I wanted to open my island up to people to take wherever but people ruin it and start shaking bell trees, ruining flowers etc so I’ve just left it all there. It would be cool to have a catalogue for that stuff too. You could give a code out to someone and they could pick through it, instead of having to come to my island. OR make it so you can block people from doing anything on your island whenever you want to.
I would love to see rugs outside! Would be great for picnic ideas! Plus I'd like to see the villagers interact with items more. E.g. sit on chairs/sofas that are outside, interact with bookshelves etc. They have this in pocket camp and it makes the island seem more lively rather than them just catching fish and bugs.
There is so much potential for the museum!!! I love collecting the critters and fossils. The museum could have more things to collect! - A planetarium (where Celeste hangs out) - A gyroid room - A REPTILES & AMPHIBIANS WING! Could you imagine collecting different species of lizards, turtles, snakes, & frogs!! - A room for all that international stuff we get from Gulliver (with a historian npc) Also, more fish, sea critters, & bugs!
To get over the fact that things might clash with ascetics it would be nice if they upgraded from the shops let you choose an exterior I doubt this would get implemented but it would be helpful to blend in with different schemes
For the next Animal Crossing game, I really want them to go back to their roots. The whole reason Katsuya Eguchi made Animal Crossing was because he was homesick, and wanted to emulate the feeling of a real community within a video game. I understand New Horizons is great for designing and it’s still good for what it is, but the lack of interactivity with my villagers made me stop playing after I had already designed my island the way I wanted. The same requests I have for the next game are the same things that made my 5 year old self fall in love with Animal Crossing in the first place: personality variation, interesting dialogue, meaningful interactivity, and feeling like a part of a small community.
If there's one thing I'd love to see in the next game, it's the return of a megaphone feature to find your dang villagers. I mean, it doesn't have to be voice-activated; it can use other methods of working. Another slight idea maybe would be if you could give deep sea creatures to someone to pass onto Flick to make models the way C.J. passes on fish for the same purpose. Maybe Leila? Also, maybe Blathers can pass on all the pieces of a fossil set to get you fossil models like the ones Cyrus could make in New Leaf?
Not sure if this was stated in the video or not, but I have 2 main features that I'd loved to see added or changed, and that being- *1* - personalities no longer gender locked. (etc female jocks, male normals) *2* - subspecies! this would be a bit harder to add and i can imagine would be a bit limited, but maybe having different models of the dog villagers (example) and using that for some villagers instead of just using the same model for all of them would be really cool
I would love the idea of having two villagers in a house, kind of like a side-by-side duplex with a door inside the building between, I think having that would be cool and it would allow for you to access each individually (with a chance of the other visiting over or multiple villagers visiting them) and have access even if one isn't awake or home. Between that and having more customization options overall would be awesome, like being able to finally put rugs outside
I would like to see being able to have shops then we already have and having Gracie‘s furniture back to the animal crossing line again and being able to buy a pool for the public animal villagers. I hope the new animal crossing comes soon 🤩
1. Add new villager species and personalities 2. Return Stella's observatory 3. Add new fruit 4. Make cooler Christmas and Halloween events (Santa gives gifts, you get weeds if you are naugty, evil spirits posess our villagers. 5. Let us add more shops! 6. Let us have 15 villagers like in New Leaf. 7. Let villagers die if they grow too old and make funerals. 8. Have actual conversations with villagers. 9. Add Tim Nook as a police officer. (The dogs are dead, sorry) 10. Have the ability to do activites on the plane and select which villagers you want to see on the plane instead of just skipping.
The feature I want to see the most in the next Animal Crossing game? Villagers NOT forcing you to pick duplicate DIY recipes. Like come on, isn't it really frustrating when you get the bonfire DIY recipe from your cranky wolf for the trillionth time instead of whatever recipe you don't have? Also, please let our villagers force us to pick new DIY recipes. 🤞
The diy thing was only added cuz its moving to a deserted island and stuff, i doubt they'd hv another game where u also live on an island and got bk to towns instead
We need Phineas to come back and trade 3 duplicate recipes for a guaranteed new recipe! It would be the perfect job for him with his outdoor scout master theme.
And I hate how they tell us to spread the duplicate around but if you’re like me and doesn’t have any AC friends, you just have to sell it. Why can’t I gift them to my other villagers?
i'd love to see more in-between heights for terraforming! i feel like that would allow for a lot more variation in heights while building. maybe there could be a cliff that is half the height of what we currently have, and maybe something even shorter. with this would also come new heights for inclines, and maybe we could even see inclines like those that lead from the beach to the land in hhp
I feel like we might see sub sets of each personality. Like “peppy” will have Peppy A, Peppy B and Peppy C, each with slight dialogue changes and interest changes
I think it might be better to add a whole secondary set of personalities, that can be applied to any villager! But, that might cause villagers to share dialogue when they otherwise wouldn’t, so there are trade-offs
I would like to see an area like city/main street from let's go to the city and new leaf as I personally found the amount of unlockable shops in new horizons (basically nothing apart from the camp area) to be really disappointing
Some sort of in-game island map planning tool would be super useful, and given that it's something that has been created by players online to help plan their island, therefore showing demand, I reckon it has a fair chance of them implementing something along those lines
I would love for the next instalment, we got full 3d environment outside building, sky bridge (create bridge not using water), canopy items (mini tent, etc) where you can put objects inside the canopy (including ceilling decorations), new shiny version critter / fish (like in pokemon), fish might had different weight so you can sell higher bells for fish with higher weight… multiple island, mrt like subway system (mirroring pipe function in ACNH, you need only establish the station), and villager now can open stall in their house or work in other store and had “working schedule” (I like to imagine villager now have 3 status categories in spite of their personalities: entrepreneur type where they open stall in their lawn, freelancer type where they won’t open any stall and will roam around village like villagers in past AC, but you can connect them with entrepreneur type so they can work in their stall as part timer shop assistant, and royalty type where they won’t open stall and won’t work in others stall, but their house is bigger than other villagers in general and they can also employ freelancer type as their maid / buttler), hence these type will help Nintendo differ their villager dialogue and give more options to player to choose their island residents (for example royalty lazy and freelancer lazy will have different dialogue set, house size and minor characteristics), as well as you can create unique pairing and interaction between your villagers
some changes i want that i don't hear enough people talk about- i wish there were land bridges (like bridges from cliff to cliff) different room variation (i.e. hallways, foyers, closets as well as more room variation in happy home paradise), diagonal items, body type variation (like you can have lil boobs or have a smaller waist, ofc without getting rid of the charm of the body type now), and MORE PLANTS !!!! i think all of these are realistic, aside from the boobs thing.
also, i'd like to see new villager types added. i was thinking sporty for the girls, and normal type for the boys. the counterparts would then be sisterly-smug snooty-cranky sporty-jock, peppy-lazy and obviously normal-normal. thos ones also pretty realistic, along with un-gender locking the personalities
I want to be able to change the themes of buildings and shops once they are fully upgraded. We had this as a feature in New Leaf where you could choose the facade of the town hall and train station to better match your town. They had modern, zen, fairytale and the default building to choose from. I think they might account for this in the next game to make things even more customisable. Even if its just those 3 extra themes I'd be happy Also maybe villager variations? For example lop-eared rabbits, pointy eared dogs, bushy tailed cats etc. Just for some variation and the personalities to no longer be for the specific gender. I want brotherly boys and lazy girls
I hope they implement the building design features we saw in HHP like how you could change the exterior of the cafe and hospital, I think it would be really neat to allow another level of customization or if the player doesn't mind they could have a present building style and eventually through leveling/achievements in the game you will unlock customizing buildings
Maybe being able to customise the outside and/or inside of certain buildings ( like the museum, town halll ). That would give us some more options, and makes it easier to macht our island to our theme. And bring back the mini games from new leaf, I mean sure we can just make them ourselves but in order to do that we have to take up space on our islands. If you have an island that is 100% done that would be very annoying I think.
I definitely want them to retain a lot of what we have now. The wet suit for example was introduced in New Leaf and is now a big part of Animal Crossing. They brought it back in New Horizons but changed the way it’s obtained, actually making it easier. Things like terraforming allow for you to design your island however you want and it’s something I wanna see in the next game too, but maybe changing the way it’s unlocked like the wet suit. In my opinion every Animal Crossing game gets better and better with each release and New Horizons definitely allows us to do much more than in previous games. I’d really like to see that carry on into the next game but with even more features and more customization aspects that aren’t available in New Horizons, keeping a lot of the same features while still making it feel like a whole new game. Also to keep it simple I would love more bugs and fish
I want to see Flick and CJ get jobs in the museum! It could avoid being too op by having them say they cant buy stuff during work! And then Blathers can focus on the parts of the museum he loves! If cj and flick are too busy then why not use the old fish and bug npcs?(no i do not know their names) A easygoing museum job sounds like a fun way to spend retirement!
I think it was be super cute if Nat and Chip (the old fish and bug npc's) worked in the sections and if you interact with a plaque in the museum you could read what it says and then they could have some dialogue about it like how blathers does and if you talk to them they could talk about how cj and flick are doing or about their careers
I would like to point out that we have no idea if the next AC game is going to even by "islands". They were towns throughout the entire series until NH and I would personally like the option of having different terrain types rather than just surrounded by water.
I agree that more varied dialogue would be nice, but I always thought the request for each villager to have their own personality was...very steep. It's kinda hard to grasp that there's 413 possible villagers. It's just seem so unreasonable to me that we expect all 400+ to have their own personality. I also don't think it helps with how easy it is to swap out one villager for another. From my understanding, it was much harder to do during earlier animal crossing games, so it just felt like there was a lot less repetition because you would have a lot less exposure to the other peppy villagers and all their repeating dialogue. TLDR; each of the 413 villagers should not have their own unique personalities; that would take way too long to program. But the dialogue said by each personality type needs to be more varied.
I just hope that it will get the cozy relaxing charm from the older games back instead of mutating into a decoration simulator where it’s all about aesthetics and when your done building your place you have like nothing to do instead of redecorating 🥲 Animal Crossing was created to have a welcoming place you can come to when you are like homesick and not to have like a sandbox place with thousands of cute but lifeless items 🥺 And I hope the next soundtrack will be more calming and with the option to turn it off to hear only the soundeffects And I miss the banana palm trees 😂
I think the new players are the ones that only want aesthetics :/ I want them to focus on the villagers and NPCs. To flesh out more stories and not just have them aesthetically there. I miss so many of them :(
I feel like implementing 1 or 2 pieces of unique dialogue for villagers would be possible. Not completely new but like a small tidbit about their past would be nice
I'd rather return to an environment similar to the previous games, I find those more comforting and enjoyable than the island quite honestly. Would be cool to have a city street to visit again, make it a bit larger this time, with more to explore and unlock of course.
I want even more customisation options in the next game, more slots for custom designs and smart tree placement where you can adjust and freeze the growth stage and put trees closer to each other
If I get Cherry, or Goldie (Cherry is my fav villager as of now and Goldie used to be my fav villager when I discovered ac) than oh boy I know who I'm moving in with
I’d love to see the player being able to be friends with Timmy and Tommy. (Friendship dialogue, gifting abilities, etc.) They are one of my favorite characters, and this would be cool, but in reality I don’t think it’ll happen.
i think a possible way to fix the dialogue issue with villagers would be to add little behaviors/pieces of dialogue based on the species (the frogs already do this a little since they don’t use umbrellas) . it would help make each villager a little more unique and add variety with the personalities themselves. more work obviously needs to be done with the dialogue but it would help make them seem less monotonous because not every personality is the same.
I would love to see the museum get like, a planetarium unlock where Celeste stays, and if you give her a zodiac star fragment then that constellation will start glowing on the ceiling and she gives you the corresponding zodiac furniture recipe/item
i actually think that new horizonts could have had more content, more buildings, captain's island, mini games i must say that all furniture from new leaf had a different style and i would love to see that style un future games, also more "full" decoration such as sets of three or more objects that are placed in only one space but the thing I most need are more villagers, isoected more for new horizonts and we can only have 10 and I think there's enough space to add two or three more houses
Honestly, ease of access features are the biggest thing for me. I want all the design options from HHP available on our own island. Not just for buildings, but for terraforming. When I want to buy multiple things from Nook's Cranny or Saharah, it would be nice to select every item I want to buy and do it all at once instead of having to do it for each item. Same goes for crafting. If I want to build 5 shovels, let me select 5 instead of having to go in and do them all one-by-one. Make every color of every item available to be customized, and make most of them match, especially the wood tones, as some people already mentioned. I'd also like more fruit trees and a wider variety of crops, especially since some of the Nook Miles tasks require players to plant so many on their island in order to complete the tasks. I'd also like it if the wet suit could be one of my wand outfits.
I want to be able to customize your island like how you can customize yards in Happy Home Paradise. It would be awesome to be able to place items and trees without having to move them all by hand.
Would love it if Reese started a clothing customization service! She doesn’t have much to do, and having the right garment in the wrong color is just as much an issue as with furniture. This would be super easy to do, as the mechanic is already in the game.
the main difference between clothing and furniture in different colors is that the clothing is sold in every color at once, so you can just go ahead and buy them all. furniture is only ever sold in one color at a time so you need to get it customized to access the other colors.
Bob's Gang, on a side note I'm ready for a new AC. I miss the days of anticipation. I think NH is nice, but I prefer the coziness of NL and WW. I prefer living in a nice country setting with NPCs that are nice and mean it adds to their personality. With that being said, lets get environment options to choose from.
rather than a gyroid museum exhibit, i'd love to see a gyroid concert hall! put on performances! maybe even interpretive dance performances lol And who better to host this concert hall than Dr. Shrunk? ;] basically, i want more buildings! more interactivity! more character writing!
I’m 3 weeks late, but I would like to see more terraforming options, like making beach rocks, expanding or shortening the beach, and that would mean we could build in the ocean… I don’t think this is going to happen but I would love it, I also want buildable docks and rafts, this, I think could happen
all i want is a game that’s not solely for decorating. the animals feel so soulless now. i want them to yell at me and damn me to the 9th circle of hell for giving them a gift they don’t like
More interactions with the items we have. Not just sitting on chairs and laying on beds. All outdoor items, for example, the ride on toys.. being able to actually do that.
Unfortunately I wasn't big on the whole terra forming thing, felt like a chore. I prefer the life sim aspect. Fewer furnitures are okay if they are functional instead of just for decoration. Villagers have more dialogue and mini games you can play together, have your best friend villager move in (substitute for marriage system like in Harvest Moon), random events happening if you have high enough friendship,... All in all I just want more interactions and the game to feel like a cozy second place to call home instead of a doll house that's only pretty, but considering how popular NH was it's likely this trend will continue sigh...
resizing and adding upstairs to your villagers houses on your main island. recoloring the exterior of main buildings (res. services, shops, museum, and the airport) . CHANGING THE BRICK PATH UNDER RESIDENT SERVICES!!!!!
Definitely needs to be more realistic in moving around and panning in different directions as oppose to just always looking north. And have the front of houses face different directions
id like to see more multiplayer interactions. instead of having someone only visit your town, they'd get to share your struggles and help progress your game entirely. and to make it more difficult, the amount of people on your island determines how much bells it would be to upgrade your house, or any other facility. although it's nice having your own simulator that you progress, i feel like it's missing that extra sense of friendship and interaction with others to make a cute little town/city/island.
If they do end up making another AC game, I would love to have yhe ability to decorate the inside of water structures with fish that u caught and/or underwater wild life. Realistically this probably won't happen, but one can hope!
I would love to pick the exact colour shade for animal homes and furniture. Yes you can change the furiture pattern...just want to pick the perfect colour shades with my theme. It is possible....you can change lighting now...why not everything else.
For me, I just want a more homely/community feel to the game (btw when i talk about npcs i mean like the shop keepers not the villagers) -villagers opening up about their lives before living in your island/town -> e.g "in my old town we had ___ and my mom mailed me some so I thought I'd share it with you" (kinda like isabelle in new leaf), "I moved here years ago and it's been my place ever since, if you're villager moved from a friends town "oh me and (your friend) had this really funny conversation... oh wait... I forgot" "Don't tell (your friend) but I like this place better than theirs" (maybe if you have a higher town rating than them) -npcs talking more about pasts/bringing old npcs back -> i used to watch the lore videos about animal crossing like about the able sister's past and it always made me love the characters even more so I want them to make the interactions with them more personal. maybe when they lock up shop or something they can be seen roaming in your island/town for a bit before going home or whatever they do and you can talk to them about stuff e.g. talking to reese about her marriage or talking to nat and chip about how cj and flick are doing -sub personalities + animal specific dialogue -> i think it is a huge ask to code over 400 unique dialogues for villagers when you won't even be able to see most of them throughout your playthrough, instead I think it would be smart to add more personalities that come under the main one, e.g. PEPPY: creative - which could be into art and drama and stuff or SNOOTY: generous - which could be very prim and proper but also give you more presents in a condescending way, and also have more dialogue relating to the animal (but it could become stale if you have a full island of the same animal sooo idk)
I want more villager drama and maybe more villagers who might insult or be passive aggressive towards the player (I feel like the villagers in the old games could be pretty savage). More interesting interactions between villagers so we are more motivated to watch them do their day to day life
I think it would be awesome if they included the fortune cookie feature like on pocket camp and maybe even the chance to have your own little camper even if the next animal crossing game isn’t about creating your own island paradise
The stuff pocket camp has been getting lately has been so good! The cookie that came out today and the last one with the piers, lighthouse etc. I want all of those items in ACNH
bobs gang!! but seriously i think simple things like getting a flower clean up (just like weeding services) should be available. and also not having to get individually put tiles on the ground would be nice. it takes waaay too long!
oh hey that's my comment! thanks for throwin mine in there, i really thought that the 2.0 update would give more for the nooklings but sadly we never got anything. to add onto what you said about customizing buildings i think that would be a great idea given how it was possible to change the town hall's style in new leaf
I think the thing I wanted the most ever since city folk was to visit the players parents. I also was thinking an hotel could be cool. Having jobs like the roost in new leaf would be awesome
I want to be able to move the resident service building and have a stand-alone café or restaurant. i feel like they should also keep cooking and growing crops in the game! if not growing crops, then we should definitely have grocery shopping so we can still cook. i feel like the cooking mechanic is way too fun for it to be limited to just one game in the series.
I would love for some little activities with the villagers, instead of you just talking to them. Like I have heard my peppy villagers talk about how they are so good at beach volleyball, so maybe we could have a little scene where you play a mini game with your villagers. Or if you want to go on a walk with a cranky villager, run around your island/town with your jock villagers, share food with your lazy villagers, read or cook with your normal villagers, and play music with your sisterly villagers. I really think this would make the villagers come to life in a way we haven’t seen before.
The main reason there are no shop upgrades is because half of the catalog can now be crafted, so less items in the shop, meaning upgrades would cause so many repeat items being sold, it’s that simple
The feature I want to see the most in the next Animal Crossing game? MORE design spaces & storage spaces. I think most of us would even pay extra or do whatever it took to just to have more design space.
I’m honesty hoping to be able to move resident services and the airport, you know when you change the room size in hhp the items that weren’t in that new room size were deleted. I wish that would happen for our island and the items would just move to the recycling box, by that I mean if you wanna change your layout (I’m still hoping for that) (which is the those river things that start at the beach and residential services and the airport) the items that were on your island would send to storage or the recycling box.
Personally, I liked the museum rooms where you could make your own exhibit with your own furniture from new leaf. It gives the player extra room rather than just their house and those set rooms and you can show off your collection!
I read an interview with the guy that had the original idea for Animal Crossing, or maybe I watched a "History Of" video?, but anyway, he said part of the whole thing of Animal Crossing was so that people who live in the same house could have a shared experience even if they're not playing at the same time. Essentially, it's a feature, not a bug. But like, I don't love sharing an island with my 6 year old. I spend a lot of time with her already, and also we have different opinions on, say, popcorn machines. So I get why they wouldn't let you have multiples, but I also disagree.
I think they need to add more of that sense of mystery. Like the feeling that makes you wonder about characters like Brewster and the old photos in the roost or the backstory of the able sisters or KK. I find games that are all fun and sunshine boring at times. I also wish some old characters to come back, like the mole and penguin brothers, etc. it would also be nice if there was options to where you would live, like the city or an island. (Although that might be too much) One last thing, I would like them to add meaner dialogue? I don’t know why, but I liked how rude and funny villagers in city folk were. (And Nintendo, bring back some of our old villagers! Please! And maybe digital amiibo from Nintendo E-shop?)
My more realistic wanted feature: for villagers to interact with outdoor items more. If I build a park, I wanna see them swinging on swings and stuff. My less realistic wanted feature: let me adopt Antonio the anteater.
I know nothing will ever come of this, but I’d love some sort of turnip storage option. I realize that I don’t have to technically buy them, but it would be nice if they weren’t cluttering up my basement/beach for a couple days every week.
More food resources. Bushes could be used as food; blackberries, tea, grapes. More recipes from the existing fish and sea creatures {maybe even bugs - i would never eat a bug but some people do}. Rocks could give you salt like in botw. Honey from the wasp nests. Flower petal salads. Egg recipes during bunny day. Snowcones from snowflakes. it is endless
Now that we have the DIY feature, I was hoping New Horizons would have brought the crystals in the rocks from New LEaf back; just think of the cool DIYs ! Hopefully in the next game.
pocket camp got my hopes WAY up that we would actually have wearable jewelry. imagine hitting rocks, getting a sapphire and silver ore and being able to craft some sapphire earrings!
The ability to expand your rooms in your house would be amazing. I miss being able to make my bedroom and upstairs and basement rooms of a decent size rather than just one expansion for the first room. Also, more rooms would be so cool? Make an actual full house. A place for a living room, bedroom, guest room, basement, attic, kitchen, bathroom, office.. all that... the small and few rooms you get just don't give you enough to make it a full on home considering ACNH is pretty much a designing simulation now. Considering it was at least kind of a thing back in New Leaf maybe a potential? one that isn't a potential but I would stlil like to see though, is the ability to be more than just friends with one or more of the villagers. Never mind roomates... I kinda wanna see how the different villagers would handle something cute like a stroll on the beach together, or a boat trip to Capn's island. :-D Don't see it happening but it would probably be damn adorable. Also, the ability to be one of the animals rather than always just a human among a land full of no humans.
ever since i got acnh in april 2021, ive wanted a hybrid flower exhibition in the museum. u could pick the flowers and donate them to the museum. maybe leif's shop could be merged into there?? and the description is the guide to breed that specific hybrid. probably never gonna come but i really wish it would

Yessss I love this idea 🤗
Yesssssw
Thats would be really cool and i would totally be playing the game every day
yes!! i feel like the one thing about acnh is that since there arent any more big updates coming up, theres not much to look forward & it gets quite repetitive and borderline boring for some people😅, me personally i never play consistently bcz although i love the game i get bored of it easily and lose motivation to play it sometimes.. so i think adding these little random fun events would def add that needed small change in the repetitiveness every so often :)
ok but not too slim
I was thinking the same thing.
Also the ability to change the lamp and brick colors. It annoys me so much that the black lamps don’t match the white lamps around my island!
@@RussGussDoodles i agree with that it makes it so annoying when the bricks and lamps there clash with the aesthetic of the rest of your island
i know right!! when i first started i placed my RS right in front on the airport :/ it gives me no room to make a super nice entrance to my island !! it's super annoying
@@migknleann same! i know the pain of having it right in front of the airport it makes the struggle real :c
I don’t settle for shit in life, but I can compromise with this.
And more personalities too… maybe sub personalities? Like star signs or something? All they’d have to do is code more dialogue rather than changing it completely
They should revisit and possibly build off of Wild World's dialogue trees. (Which imo had the best dialogue.)
Their could also be a plant section added to the museum giving players another thing to collect.
like the way the museum filled in more plants as we donated bugs, but let us actually donate plants/flowers that we could grow all over our towns too
I would kill for lily pads
The roommate idea got me thinking how fun it could be to be able to have relationships between villagers be something we could get more involved in. So far the interactions seem largely random, so it could be fun to see neighbors become friends and maybe even be willing to become roommates, opening up room for a new villager to move in.
Also, customizable buildings like the town hall and train station in ACNL but applied to all buildings would be a fantastic next step in customizing our town exterior.
I love that idea! Yes, more interaction between villagers! Roommates etc.
That will be so cool if they did do that!
Things I want to see in the next Animal Crossing game:
1. More accessories (like jewelry and makeup) for the players
2. Secondary colors for our hair
3. Galaxy exhibit where we learn about the zodiac signs and their star fragments that opens every night at 6pm
4. We want more fruits and vegetables (like strawberries, grapes, cucumbers, etc.)
Nintendo if you see this comment add these.
For me, I would love the idea of having to decide where you want to live. Although I do really love living on an island in New Horizons, I miss the simple feeling of just living in a town. For the next game we should decide if we want to live in a town, city, or even on an island! And also I'm not expecting the next game to release until 2027 or 2028.
it would be cool if we could pick the landscape, like a desert or a seaside kinda thing!
YES I LOVED CELESTES PLACE
I would love to see underwater play. Like an underwater village. Another idea would be underwater diving shipwrecks and caves for items
This could be expanded to a whole DLC.
@@ruthmeow4262 ph my god yes
My biggest wishes:
-more buildings should come back
-let us build tunnels and caves
-let us build bridges witout the need of a river
-much more interactive furniture (let me play this Pinball already)
-free item movement (not just in squares)
-and bring back more Nintendo themed items (Metroid,StarFox,Zelda etc.)
@@justinaclayburn2248 I can agree with you on that. It’s hard to mix and match series because they all have different sets of wood colors.
- A planetarium (where Celeste hangs out)
- A gyroid room
- A REPTILES & AMPHIBIANS WING! Could you imagine collecting different species of lizards, turtles, snakes, & frogs!!
- A room for all that international stuff we get from Gulliver (with a historian npc)
Also, more fish, sea critters, & bugs!
To get over the fact that things might clash with ascetics it would be nice if they upgraded from the shops let you choose an exterior I doubt this would get implemented but it would be helpful to blend in with different schemes
I agree. I was thinking the same thing. Maybe at least the colors of our buildings, or style like we can with homes.
I bet we will see that in a future AC game
I think that’s very possible given the exterior customising you can do for facilities on HHP
If the camperes could go outside, insted of only being in the tent, that could be cool 😁
Not sure if this was stated in the video or not, but I have 2 main features that I'd loved to see added or changed, and that being-
*1* - personalities no longer gender locked. (etc female jocks, male normals)
*2* - subspecies! this would be a bit harder to add and i can imagine would be a bit limited, but maybe having different models of the dog villagers (example) and using that for some villagers instead of just using the same model for all of them would be really cool
1. Add new villager species and personalities
2. Return Stella's observatory
3. Add new fruit
(The dogs are dead, sorry)
10. Have the ability to do activites on the plane and select which villagers you want to see on the plane instead of just skipping.
“let villagers die” i would start crying
I think it might be better to add a whole secondary set of personalities,
that can be applied to any villager!
Even if its just those 3 extra themes I'd be happy
Also maybe villager variations? For example lop-eared rabbits, pointy eared dogs, bushy tailed cats etc. Just for some variation and the personalities to no longer be for the specific gender. I want brotherly boys and lazy girls
i honestly just want more character customisation options- especially with hair. i really want to see longer hairs in different styles
Also to keep it simple I would love more bugs and fish
yes, i definitely don't want anything from this version going away!
I'd LOVE to be able to buy more than 1 outfit at a time at the Ables shop!
I think it's realistic 😁
THIS! 👆🏼
I just hope that it will get the cozy relaxing charm from the older games back instead of mutating into a decoration simulator where it’s all about aesthetics and when your done building your place you have like nothing to do instead of redecorating 🥲 Animal Crossing was created to have a welcoming place you can come to when you are like homesick and not to have like a sandbox place with thousands of cute but lifeless items 🥺
And I hope the next soundtrack will be more calming and with the option to turn it off to hear only the soundeffects
And I miss the banana palm trees 😂
I think the new players are the ones that only want aesthetics :/
I want them to focus on the villagers and NPCs. To flesh out more stories and not just have them aesthetically there. I miss so many of them :(
I’d love to be able to turn the music off. Really gets on my nerves sometimes. Why do we have to have music all the time?
Hide and seek! Bulk buying, crafting, cooking! Gracie, Pete, Pelly and Phyllis. The list goes on! Bob's Gang!!!
I still want to see the police station for copper and booker even villagers swimming on your island.
I would like the extra fruits to come back from new leaf, more flowers and a greenhouse for leaf, also more hair colors and secondary colors
I want even more customisation options in the next game, more slots for custom designs and smart tree placement where you can adjust and freeze the growth stage and put trees closer to each other
id like to see the ability to make bridges usable over cliffs other then waterfalls. i think it would be cool.
How about having a villager be YOUR roommate. I'd love having someone like Ohare as a roommate.
If I get Cherry, or Goldie (Cherry is my fav villager as of now and Goldie used to be my fav villager when I discovered ac) than oh boy I know who I'm moving in with
Roommates sounds amusing. I would be down for that.
I would love to see the museum get like, a planetarium unlock where Celeste stays, and if you give her a zodiac star fragment then that constellation will start glowing on the ceiling and she gives you the corresponding zodiac furniture recipe/item
i actually think that new horizonts could have had more content, more buildings, captain's island, mini games
i must say that all furniture from new leaf had a different style and i would love to see that style un future games, also more "full" decoration such as sets of three or more objects that are placed in only one space
but the thing I most need are more villagers, isoected more for new horizonts and we can only have 10 and I think there's enough space to add two or three more houses
There are so many features they need to implement into the next game. I hope Nintendo listens to us.
Nintendo NEVER listens to the fans 😑
Would love it if Reese started a clothing customization service! She doesn’t have much to do, and having the right garment in the wrong color is just as much an issue as with furniture. This would be super easy to do, as the mechanic is already in the game.
the main difference between clothing and furniture in different colors is that the clothing is sold in every color at once, so you can just go ahead and buy them all. furniture is only ever sold in one color at a time so you need to get it customized to access the other colors.
@@dietotaku yes, true, but if my character gets a garment from a villager or from a balloon, these choices do not exist.
I want the ability to expand the island and to make the rooms in your house larger as well, or even add more rooms…. A three story mansion!!
YES! Also a castle or palace would be cool.
Shrunk? ;]
basically, i want more buildings! more interactivity! more character writing!
I would love to see some kind of mini-game or interactive collaborative feature when we visit other's islands.
Definitely needs to be more realistic in moving around and panning in different directions as oppose to just always looking north. And have the front of houses face different directions
Yes! I can’t stand always looking north. Super annoying, especially when swimming.
I’d love to see rocks and gems to dig up for museum specimens along with the fossils
id like to see more multiplayer interactions. instead of having someone only visit your town, they'd get to share your struggles and help progress your game entirely. and to make it more difficult, the amount of people on your island determines how much bells it would be to upgrade your house, or any other facility. although it's nice having your own simulator that you progress, i feel like it's missing that extra sense of friendship and interaction with others to make a cute little town/city/island.
1. Bulk buying in the Able sisters.
2. Bulk cooking.
3. Seeing Isabell walk around the island.
I DESPERATELY want the castle exterior for my house that I have in acnl. Literally the best.
For me, I just want a more homely/community feel to the game
(btw when i talk about npcs i mean like the shop keepers not the villagers)
-villagers opening up about their lives before living in your island/town -> e.g "in my old town we had ___ and my mom mailed me some so I thought I'd share it with you" (kinda like isabelle in new leaf), "I moved here years ago and it's been my place ever since, if you're villager moved from a friends town "oh me and (your friend) had this really funny conversation... oh wait... I forgot" "Don't tell (your friend) but I like this place better than theirs" (maybe if you have a higher town rating than them)
-npcs talking more about pasts/bringing old npcs back -> i used to watch the lore videos about animal crossing like about the able sister's past and it always made me love the characters even more so I want them to make the interactions with them more personal. maybe when they lock up shop or something they can be seen roaming in your island/town for a bit before going home or whatever they do and you can talk to them about stuff e.g. talking to reese about her marriage or talking to nat and chip about how cj and flick are doing
-sub personalities + animal specific dialogue -> i think it is a huge ask to code over 400 unique dialogues for villagers when you won't even be able to see most of them throughout your playthrough, instead I think it would be smart to add more personalities that come under the main one, e.g.
I would love more homes on one island. I always feel sad when I move out a villager thats been with me for a long time
I just want to live in a forest cosy town again. The island has been so fun and great but I miss it
I think the thing I wanted the most ever since city folk was to visit the players parents.
We should be able to craft multiple items at once
Or like we have the cafe we will need a bakery or a restaurant
I read an interview with the guy that had the original idea for Animal Crossing, or maybe I watched a "History Of" video?, but anyway, he said part of the whole thing of Animal Crossing was so that people who live in the same house could have a shared experience even if they're not playing at the same time. Essentially, it's a feature, not a bug. But like, I don't love sharing an island with my 6 year old. I spend a lot of time with her already, and also we have different opinions on, say, popcorn machines. So I get why they wouldn't let you have multiples, but I also disagree.
For different personalities just do a kind of punett square so you have combo personalities like grumpy jock or double lazy if you're bob
(Although that might be too much)
One last thing, I would like them to add meaner dialogue? I don’t know why, but I liked how rude and funny villagers in city folk were. (And Nintendo, bring back some of our old villagers! Please! And maybe digital amiibo from Nintendo E-shop?)
I think it would be fun for the rocks to drop geodes and you could craft cool items with it.
I would like to see a craft x option in a future game
