stoked to hear this. Thanks for watching the video in the support. The preset I sell on GUMROAD allows access to that feature still, which gives you a more similar look to the old style of halation that I used to teach.
I applaud the creativity in finding an insane workaround for a 1 click effect in Resolve. It really is mind boggling in terms of how adobe develops Premiere.
Haha i’m glad it helped and thanks for watching. What did you think about this fix? I don’t love it, I don’t hate it, but I wanted to get you guys a solution as fast as I could.
@@Trentorials Agree it's the best tutorial I've seen on getting the same look since they updated. Have yet to see a solution that would be better tbh. Just getting into video editing from photo and it's been a super difficult switch so thank you for making it easier!!!
@@MU7V what do you mean? (Share an inspiration or example?) there is a drag and drop noise effect already, no? And if not, the link in the description of this video brings you to my Gumroad which has a free grain texture!!
Can you go back to the previous version, make presets, then import that to your current version of PP? They got of grid, but I’m currently using it in the latest version.
Curious if you also use the ASC CDL effect as a replacement for Channel Blur. Would love to hear your thoughts on it. In any case, good luck, and thanks for the informative videos!
@@spiffy2525 I have no clue. If you slow down the portion where I scroll through the list of removals you’ll see a load of good effects they removed. Probably some cheap money grab to make us buy other add ons or use other softwares like after effects (obv not a software that everyone has)
@elisachavez7089 for sure! Thanks for your support (edit for further clarification: A .cube file is a LUT for color grading in the Lumetri Color panel. It changes how colors look. A preset, on the other hand, is a saved effect you apply through the Effects panel. So use a .cube file for color adjustments and presets for other effects.)
This is a problem we all have. Unfortunately. The Luma key effect uses so much graphic intensity, that there is always unfortunately a drawback on your computer when it runs. My advice is to apply the effect at the end of your editing, or turn effects off temporarily while you edit and then turn them back on before exporting
It frustrates me to no end the fact that Solid Composite is gone. Editing, rendering and playback looked so good back with SC. Now it’s SO much harder to do the same thing and it runs even slower.
Well, thanks for the click, but I do agree that it makes no sense why premiere does this. Why this should be so difficult to do in Premiere. I’ve used for so long that it’s just my go to. But I have a tutorial on daVinci stuff too.
man, big ups! I was desperately looking for this after finding out Channel blur is no more

youre a legend for updating the tutorial so quickly! thank you!!!
For sure. I hope it helps, and if you prefer the old method, I do so a preset on my Gumroad.

@@endless_want I am so with you. That’s why I own both.😂💀 this new system sucks. I hate adobe for most things. I’ve just used Premiere for 10 years.
thank you trentorials we all say in unison

THANK GOD YOU MADE THIS VIDEO 😭
Haha glad it helped
oh my goodness thank you so much - this is so helpful :')
You're so welcome!
Hi!
Please tell me how you made such chromatic aberrations closer to the edges of the frame?
Is it in After Effects or is it possible in Premiere?
@@lybomur_1123 I have a video on it! But I think i am working on making a preset!
@@Trentorials Can you share the link to this video or name?
can this be accomplished by just using an adjustment layer?
no. the luma key needs the metadata in the footage to reference for the highlights. hence the heavy computing power needed!
Can you go back to the previous version, make presets, then import that to your current version of PP? They got of grid, but I’m currently using it in the latest version.
yes. for some effects, anyways!

I will check it out. Thanks for the advice.
This was great. I learned AE first. I seem to do more in AEThan PP. I’d love to see some tutorial on AE.
I'm glad you found it helpful. I'll have to make soon but would love to know what you’d like to learn.
Great video as always. I'm just confused on why they would remove an effect like channel blur 😥

How can I use the preset? Since it’s not a .cube file? Thanks in advance!
On the effects tab press the three lines and press import presets

Does the halation still add 3 hours to your export time?
I guess it all depends on how big your sequences, but it does still increase export time, yes. It’s quite graphic intensive.
why is the Luma key so slow on my mac.

You can still do that in after effects I think though! Not that is convenient but it is an option that’s most similar to

then why are you watching this premiere pro tuts?
