    In this video, I'll show you how to pick the best ETFs that will work best for your investment portfolio. I'll give you a checklist for how to evaluate and analyze multiple ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds) so that you feel confident when investing money into them.
    First, we'll take a quick look at what an actual ETF is. On the surface, they look the same, but once you dig into the details it becomes apparent that they're not all created equally. For example, Vanguard offers Index funds like VTSAX and VFIAX, but they also offer an ETF version of each one which are VTI and VOO.
    Then we'll start getting into choosing an asset class. Most people are going to be looking for an ETF loaded up with individual stocks. But there are also commodity and bond exchange-traded funds that you can invest in as well.
    After that is when we start to get into the actual process of picking an ETF. We'll talk about how to think about choosing a location and sector for an ETF you want to invest in.
    Next, I'll pull up two different ETFs to show you how to compare them. My goal with this part of the video is to get you inside my brain to see how I'm evaluating each exchange-traded fund individually and also together. I want to teach you how to think so you can walk through this process on your own.

    Disclaimer: This video is for entertainment purposes only. Everyone's situation is different so do your own research before making any decisions with your money. If you need help then contact a Certified Financial Fiduciary before trying anything that is mentioned in this video. I prefer a Fiduciary financial advisor that charges an hourly fee as opposed to an ongoing fee based on a % of your portfolio. Always remember that incentives determine the type of advice they give you so one that charges an hourly fee is less likely to be problematic.

      Ya can't go wrong with VTI

    I've stopped buying individual stocks a few months ago (I have a diversified portfolio that I'm keeping. I only do longterm).
    Since I'm Canadian I buy the CAN version of VOO, VTI, and so on. I buy every month around the same date no matter what. I do 30% US, 30% CAN, 30% International and 10% to play around (for example I bought a few High Dividend ETFs, gambled on AMC, maybe I'll buy Bonds ETFs next year when interest rates are a bit better, etc...).
    When I can't decide between 2 ETFs I buy both 50/50! I hesitate between CAN hedged and non CAN hedged (it's a double edge sword) so I buy both equally! I hesitate between S&P500 versus Total US Market, so I buy both!
    I feel way better since I stopped spending so much time analyzing individual stocks. I can go on with my life thanks to you!

    I’m doing some of the no expense ratio funds from fidelity… I’m a newbie so I figure I probably can’t go wrong. I opened Roth IRA for all five of my kids and did one of those no fee index funds for them.

    Hi, when you mention expense ratio, is there additional fees that come with a financial advisor, such as Edward Jones?

    • @ggpp6252
      @ggpp6252 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, if you get these ETF's the financial advisor gets his fee + you will be paying the MER also.

    IUSG. Thumbs up? Thumbs down?

    • @JarradMorrow
      @JarradMorrow  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thumbs up. For a growth specific ETF everything checks out. A ton of assets under management so it’s very liquid, expense ratio looks good, and the holdings make sense as well. There’s a lot of stable companies that make up that top 10 (47%). If I was personally looking for a growth ETF then this would be up there.
