Hi! Great video, im trying to learn how kimberly applies her pressure so that i can learn the matchup, and this video has very good knowledge and insight about it. I wanted to point out that the DR whiff throw to bait DP in the midscreen throw oki is susceptible to Ken´s OD DP. It´s the only exception i know, and i think it should be the only one since you already showcased flashkick whiffing. Ty for the video
@@ZachHenke she is very fun to play and has many tools to make your game more unpredictable, hope that capcom give her some attention and make her like the beta.
This is awesome. Thank you. Maybe in another video, you could discuss what possible "and practical" buff Capcom could give Kim at this point of r in the future...if you haven't already
Dang good to know how her vortex can start off of just a forward throw. I feel, as Marisa, that once I get hit I have to guess for my life especially against good Kim's. Also cool to see that some of her setups, like many, kinda depend on whether the opponent does or does not back roll. Lots to digest. Thanks for the info!
The other thing to consider is that her level 3 buffs her damage, but it buffs it to what are basically normal levels. Her forward throw without the buff doesn’t even do 1100 damage, so taking the throw against her isn’t quite as scary.
Awesome video man! Thanks for sharing this, there's some stuff here I definitely want to start using. One thing I found out is if you drive rush after forward throw, you were saying you can bait reversals but maybe cammy or someone else could use level 3, if you drive rush and don't throw to stop you can see the super come out and react with your own super from the drive rush to counter it. It's really strong cuz you make them waste their super and get big damage from yours, plus if they're in burnout and they wakeup level 3 you just instant checkmate them 😂
I don’t know why I always thought she was broken as a lvl 8 computer due to all these options that seem to trap you in the corner… and then in the corner she has even more options. Not amazing as her I usually just try to punish with all her weird heavy kicks and medium kicks.
I heard that to play Kimberly effectively, you have to condition the opponent to respect her run, so she can start run cancelling. How do we go about this?
The way you get people to respect fake stuff in fighting games is by doing real stuff. So you have to start out with lots of frame traps and options that really do beat mashing. Then, once they are sure they can’t press buttons you start doing stuff that they could mash out of.
Crhp run is naturally a frame trap too so if they jab you get counter hit, then when they respect that and stop jabbing you can do crhp run stop and start using grabs. Same for sthp od run. Stmp is a good space trap so if you use that then sthp to catch a jab with a punish counter people will be scared to jab after stmp, then you can use run
@@ZachHenke agreed. I’m constantly just playing her in training mode when I play the game. I’d really like to see some explored pressure options for her. I’m never sure how to nail pressure sequences in this game, especially for Kimberly. I had just placed diamond with Marisa and solely your videos. But with Kim I just got gold and never went back lol.
I definitely want to explore this character more, but given how poorly this video has been received, I’m not sure that it’s worth my time to make videos. Maybe if I get a day to just stream or something.
@@ZachHenke I view your videos as helpful regardless which character shows success. However, I understand that it’s not worth the time for growth. Which nobody should see as an invalid focus. I don’t think she’s a popular character in general, especially for updated guide videos, or high level tournament play. So while I think it’s worth getting it out for the sake of people like me having the resource, it’s almost guaranteed to perform mediocrely. It’s not the biggest audience. She is also the exact opposite Marisa almost haha. So maybe the channel is feeding of this niche and new dlc characters. As opposed to someone like Kimberly or Jamie. Things like that. I look forward to the stream if that does happen. And I hope you enjoy her regardless. She’s so fun.
No unnecessary talking, no long in-between time, just pure knowledge getting beamed directly into your brain every minute.
Thank you! Glad it was helpful.
Mega buffs, start pumping out more Kimberly videos my man need you to show us the way!

Great video, keep it coming
Most of these oki options I didn't even know about so this'll definitely up my game, thanks a lot! Looking forward to more Kim videos
Thanks!
Thank you for the ridiculous generosity!
Big effort deployed and great quality content, thanks for the video
Thanks. I put her down for a little bit after this didn’t receive much traction, but now that it’s picking up a bit I’ll make another one.

Appreciate you putting this out!
Thanks for checking it out!

Seems like a decent idea! Thank you!

Great work! are you still planning to release the other Kim video in the corner you mentioned? already looking forward to it.
It will happen eventually. Probably within the next few weeks.

That’s really strong. I wasn’t even thinking about super flash, but that makes a lot of sense. Thanks for sharing!
@@ZachHenke no worries man I just pulled it out in a match the other day lol you got a new sub here I can't wait for the next part, cheers man

No way you teaching the OTHER character I play besides Marisa!!! You want me to redownload this game?!
I’m actually having a lot of fun labbing her. Haven’t done any placement matches yet, but she’s extremely fun to mess around with.

I figured it wouldn’t do great, but usually I have like 5x this many views if a video has been up this long.
