In Europe, eating out is an event. You are expected to spend a long time eating with coffee, drinks and so on. Because of that, obtrusive waiters are considered rude and instead a waiter will come to you when you catch their eye. Remember, a long time between ordering and getting the food allows you more time to talk and drink, and allows the chef more time to perfect the food. This is considered positive.

Talking at normal volume on trains, busses, in doctors' or clinic waiting rooms is a big no-no in some European countries. The loud talkers whose phone conversations or face to face conversations we are forced to listen to always deem to go like this "uhhh, yeah, so I was like walkin' down the street, dude, and like I saw this like shop and there was like this awesome like gadget - almost the same as back home in the States, so I was like, yeah, that's awesome and..." etc

I've lived worked all around the world, including several European countries. The lack of screens on windows has never been an issue to me. I haven't had serious problems with flys or mosquitoes. I live in Lisbon now, and can't recall having any mosquitos!

The waiters used to the sole reason my family didn't like coming to Europe. Now that we've figured it out (and now that they know about the existence of the Alps), everything's changed.

Perhaps this subject deserves more explaining in a future short or full vid…

@@how2europe all the things you're doing wrong in a European restaurant, and include the Pulp Fiction GARÇON scene?

There is no air conditioning in the European public transportation, but fortunately, Paris has purchased more air conditioned buses.

We no longer have transportation (sending prisoners abroad to remote places - Australia, America, etc.) we do have transport, a means of getting from one place to another.

In Europe socialism id nothing to br ashamed of. Do not explode when someone telks you (proudly!) That they are one. In Spain the head of the Communist Party at one pojnt was a descrndantif the Duke of Medina Sidonia ( the guy who organised the Armada in 1588).

We see Junk Food the way America sees cigarettes: Smokers are tolerated, but people going to Mc Donalds are low class and killing their health. At least in France and Italy.

thanks for watching! I’m kind of surprised, I know a lot of French people who absolutely love Macdo and seem to think the meat is better quality than in the states

Oh, and something else for Americanos...don't expect to see so many people with blindingly white teeth! Perhaps in Paris, but for the most part teeth whitening is very much a US thing.
