I love your programme so much that I recommended it to our weekly house group leader and we have enjoyed the histories and singing along. I live in South Wales U K. We love our old welsh hymns. It would be good if you would research "Here is love vast as the ocean". The name of the tune is Dim ond Iesu which is welsh and means Only Jesus. The words are beautiful. Thank you for the blessing these hymns give. I look forward to every one. God bless your ministry.
I love this hymn very much. We sing it quite often at worship services: at Sabbath School and the Divine Worship Hour, at mid-week prayer meetings, at evangelistic meetings. When i was a young person we even sang it at Youth meetings. An all round favorite! Thanks for sharing it with the world.
I remember hearing this song shortly after I came to Christ at about 10 years old. We were on vacation near Minneapolis and I heard my father's cousins sing it as a duet. I remember thinking that I truely understood the meaning of the song.😊
This was my Great Aunty's favourite hymn, it is very dear to me. Thank you for explaining it and singing it so well. What a comfort our loving Father is!
Always have pictured the real "rapture". Even since a child...will always keep it in my mind and heart that way...even now at almost 80....piano playing...luv it everytime...keep going 'toll Jesus comes😊
I believe submission is the correct word to use. One can be obedient without submission, and communion is neither obedience or submission. Submission implies putting one’s self aside totally & willingly in favour of the will of other.
Luke, the Rapture, is not a theory, but perfect Biblical teaching! Jesus is coming very soon. I am blessed by your discussions, but would love for you to believe the true Word. Fanny also knew it. Maranatha 💜
So often we allow limitations and handicaps to define us. Fanny Crosby did not do that! Her confidence and blessed assurance was in God. The song is so upbeat and positive. And really who can argue with her? It is her experience, her testimony! What would the world be like if we had more people with similar testimonies? A far better place in which to live!
I love to watch the stories behind the hymns and Encounter videos. Have you made one for the hymn There is Power in the Blood? Thank you from Tampa FL USA
“The theory of the Rapture?” That left me wondering as to weather you believe in the rapture. The rapture is doctrinal, the hope of glory to every believer in Christ.
Beautiful hymn but at our church we don't sing born of the Spirit but say fill or led by the Spirit. Why only Jesus is born of the Spirit. As children of God we are not yet born of spirit until Jesus return and we meet Him in the air and we are change from mortal to immortal, when we are change as angels. But awesome song.
I believe that is incorrect theology. We are already “saints” being sanctified everyday under the convicting of the Holy Spirit (read all of the Pauline letters, even Luke’s Acts of the Apostles.) “…Jesus in mine!” (God’s gift to us, if we choose to accept it as undeserving… we only “DESERVE” eternal seaparatuon. God came to redeem us for Himself… self-explanatory, I know you know that…) “…a foretaste of glory divine [divine glory]!” (A “look-ahead” at what it will be like in His presence in Eternity) “Heir of Salvation, purchase of God;” (self-explanatory, but I’ll put it down anyway: WE “inherited” our salvation from God through his coming through Jesus’-his Son, #2 in the Trinity, yet one-death on the cross. “Bought” by God) “Born of the Spirit,…” (we ARE indwelt by the Holy Spirit [“filled” would be the better word, maybe-in Acts]…Jesus said, before ascending into Heaven, “I will send you a Helper…” Read John 14-16, specifically John 14:16, John 14:26, John 15:26, John 16:7… The point is that the Spirit is WITH US already at the point of salvation, whose “job” is to convict and sanctified every day-even as we are still sinful human beings this side of Eternity) “…washed in His blood.” (Again. Self-explanatory: Jesus’ blood poured on the Cross)
Takes me back to Red Creek Belize 1967 to 1976
Blessed Assurance
Jesus is mine
Praise The Lord
I live your program
God Bless you

Nice video! I was pretty sure the "rapture" in this context did not mean the second coming, because dispensationalist theology was new at this time.
Awesome, thank you.
Very beautiful
This is a great idea
What a beautiful story lovd that.bymn
Such an inspiring story and song

How about. "Jesus, I my cross have Taken"?
