Reciprocity failure is exponential, not linear. This means that the compensation is gotten by raising the exposure time to about 1.3, not multiplying it by that.
DAMN! No wonder it came out way under... I told you math wasn't my strong point. 😳 I did the math after reading your comment and the exposure time should have been 17 hours.... So we weren't even in the ball park...😓
Great video! I especially enjoyed the segment around the cemetery and the Christmas tree that someone set up for a lost loved one. I find cemeteries, during the day light hours of course, quite tranquil and “relaxing” while photographing the monuments and mausoleums. Oh well, to each their own.
Would love to hear your thoughts on how the final shot turned out. Personally I love it, the light trails from the cars passing through could only have been captured by an exposure that long, making it worth the wait!
Beautiful Christmas trees! I went to Michigan ave to try and take pics after Christmas but they don't light them after the holiday sadly. Pic still turned out cool!
Love your videos man! I really enjoy the format and getting to see the process. Also, the immediate satisfaction of getting to see the shot right away. Thanks for making these!
I’m always late but I think that last exposure is sick! I actually love the car lights. Also the laundromat on film looked great. Side note: grandma’s buried where you were walking so glad mother is glad you watched your step
My man, what a amazing and inspiring video. I want to thank you for the effort of shooting these videos, it must definately be different compared to just going out to shoot on your own. I also aprechiate the longer form where its not just "okay im here, cut, photo, okay next location, cut, photo etc." I particularely love the first laundromat shot, so otherworldly and atmospheric.
lOVE using my release with my MP Great job!! reminds me of counting down the time till Midnight standing in times square for 16 hrs for the ball to drop.

My M3 has a self timer 😂🎉
x^1.3 for reciprocity failure instead of x*1.3 if you find those negatives to be a little thin
Bro. You alive?
