I did this tutorial yesterday…..granted it was not as smooth as yours but it was such a good experience. Every time I pick up my brush and watch your tutorials, I continue to learn. I practice almost daily. Thank you for sharing your talent and knowledge.

This is such great inspiration! I paint tiny watercolor paintings and put them in geocaches. Now a similar painting to yours will be in a geocache somewhere in the Nevada desert! ❤
I am sure many will sympathise with your frustration. Just take it step by step, and do your best, keep practicing, don't over work! Most important try to enjoy painting. Good luck 😊
If you find your painting drying too quickly, you may find going to a smaller size will give you more time or spraying with a spritzer bottle from a distance to rewet the paint. Go easy with this, just when you need it, otherwise things can get quickly out of control! This tutorial may help: th-cam.com/video/qGqYLmm6OQk/w-d-xo.html

Do you think sodalite genuine or Jane’s grey would work as an alternative to indigo? I love the dark blue color but I don’t have it (yet).
They would be lovely. You may not get as dark as Indigo.
Thank you!

Sounds great!
What is a geocache?
What kind of paper please? 🥲
It’s Cold Pressed watercolour paper. I recommend 100% cotton A4 or bigger. Details can be found in my pinned comment on this short.
Hope this helps 😊
I struggle with getting colours even. The mountain layer colour isnt consistent. S
