  • The thread injection mold is a very classic mold. There are many types of ejection methods for threaded plastic parts. The plastic part is separated from the threaded core by different mechanism or approaches.
    I recommend 19 common thread injection molds. This video is the second half. And contains 10 types.
    1. The motor drives the threaded core to rotate.
    When the mold is opened, the movable mold moves backward, and the power source drives the threaded core to rotate through the gear. At the same time, the threaded head pull rod rotates. Move the gating system up simultaneously. The anti-rotation insert follows the upward movement under the action of the spring. When the thread is almost completely unscrewed, the set screw restricts the push plate from stopping. The core continues to rotate. The plastic part leaves the stop pattern. It is connected to the gate to stop the rotation, and it comes out completely.
    2. Rack and pinion unthreading-1
    When the mold is opened, the rack guide post drives the threaded core to rotate and move axially along the sleeve nut to unscrew the threaded core.
    3. The hydraulic drive unscrews the internal thread continuously.
    When opening the mold, the ejector pushes the ejector plate. The support mandrel is withdrawn. The threaded core shrinks by itself. Continue to open the mold. The air cylinder makes the secondary ejection plate work and eject the plastic parts. The gating system has come off. During mold clamping, the supporting mandrel is stuffed. The threaded core is opened to ensure the formation of the internal thread.
    4. Forcibly disengage the thread.
    The mold structure forms a flexible plastic part with internal threads. As long as the design is reasonable, a push plate can be used to force ejection.
    5. Rack and pinion unthreading -2
    When the mold is opened, the guide rod rack drives the gear. Through the transmission of the shaft and the gear, the threaded core and the thread pulling hook are rotated in the opposite direction. So that the plastic part and the gate fall off at the same time.
    6. Angle injection molding machine unscrews multiple threads.
    When the mold is opened, the mold clamping screw of the injection molding machine rotates. Drive the movable mold back. At the same time, the driving gear and the driven gear in the mold are rotated. When the cavity plate is stopped by the spacing screw, there is exactly one pitch of the plastic part on the threaded core that does not come out. The product is taken out of the cavity during continuous parting.
    7. Hydraulic cylinder drive.
    For occasions with a small number of threads, the hydraulic core can be used to drive the rack and pinion to unscrew the thread core.
    8. Manually unscrew the thread structure 1
    After opening the mold, the operator shakes the handle, and the threaded core is rotated by the bevel gear. The stripper plate moves with the workpiece under the action of the spring. Limit screws determine the final position of the stripper plate.
    9. Manually unscrew the thread structure 2
    After the mold is opened, the ejector pin of the injection molding machine pushes the push plate, and the wedge plate moves in the ejection direction. Under the action of the wedge plate and the movable plate, the bayonet is withdrawn from the annular groove of the threaded core, and then the push rod ejects the threaded core from the movable mold. Finally, the threaded core is manually removed from the product outside the mold.
    10. Manually unscrew the thread structure 3
    This is the mechanism for manually unthreading the core in the machine. Before opening the mold, unscrew the threaded core manually. After the mold is closed, the threaded core is screwed in manually.
