Mohg most likely would have been a more sane and rational leader and follower of the formless mother, keeping it's worst traits in check until Miquella messed him up.

I think one of the best hints of this is when we enter the Palace and Mohg immediately attacks us. He just assumes our intent outright. Almost like a guard dog.
But. I find it ironic that Miquella is supposed to be love and yet Mohg is genuine love. Varre and Ansbach love Mohg, so much even when Varre feels like he’s been abandoned he still wishes The Mohgwyn dynasty best luck. Lord of Blood for life.
best hint for me, ( almost everything attacks you on sight), was that it seemed like mohg was serving miquella, and not trying to use his great rune to become the next lord/ god. He was captured, but he was feeding him his blood and miquella was able to get rid of his child hood curse.

Mohg beat the PDF allegations, but there’s still the blood lake and the whole “kill your own maiden” thing that doesn’t make me think he’s a great guy
With how Ansbach is vs how Varre is, I think that there was a huge change in Mohg's followers at some point, which would most likely be when Miquella started using Mohg to power up the egg.
Also, just a theory, but I think Miquella deliberately encouraged the evil nature of Mohg and the Bloody Fingers so that a target would be painted on their backs, and in turn a powerful Tarnished would eventually come and kill Mohg, leaving his body available for Miquella to use.
You have to realize that Mohg and Miquella in game had the same goal of “let people of different origins be seen as equal”
Yet if this was truly what Mohg wished or just Miquella changing his beliefs is not so clear
I assume Mohg who wears can’t clothes and ornate weaponry was most likely just someone who wanted to be accepted for who he was (instead of what his brother does) but due to Miquella all that remained at Mohg’s side were the aggressive ones who also followed Miquella
I also don't think Mogh becoming a champion for the formless mother was apart of miquella's plan or manipulation. The formless mother craves wounds and so does Mogh. His age of blood would have also been brutal but yes Miquella just like what Ranni did to Godwyn is more than willing to crush any1 their paths to usurping Marika and creating a new order.

I know I’m being a wet blanket, but if Mogh was hiding in his Moghwyn dynasty, how did he come to contact with Miquella in the first place?
Is it possible he tried to kidnap Miquella as his consort-only-in-name to meet the expected tradition of the Lord marrying the God of Elde,but Miquella turned the tables around and made Mogh into HIS puppet?

So Mohg is essentially the key to the shadow of the erdtree and is one of the many reasons their mother put the hornsent kids of hers in the catacombs
The whole plot of the game is Miquella shedding his emperyan status the same way ranni had to shed her flesh
when i heard all of this i for sure he was trying to bring back godwyn. but no its radahn it make no sense.
Godwyn's soul has been erased, no afterlife for him, plus his body is not truly dead.
It would make no sense whatsoever to see Godwyn anywhere in the universe.
@@Ron_Jambo_But Ranni died the same way as Godwyn and she still exists so I don't think thats entirely true. Also Godwyn attacks you with rancorcall if you attack Fia by his corpse, so it looks like he's still technically conscious just immobile.

@@Hypogean7 Ranni and Godwyn both died at the same time in the same manner after Destined death was stolen. The only difference is that Ranni took her own life to rid herself of her Flesh. Ranni prepared a doll for her soul to inhabit afterwards while Godwyn was trapped in his own decaying flesh. His soul still exists like I stated earlier because he will attack you if you harm Fia.
Edit: Upon reading further, his soul is indeed suposed to be gone fully, but he still seems to have a degree of seemingly concious capability. A really weird contradiction that doesn't make much logical sense lorewise unless Godwyn is somehow manipulating his body from some other plane of existence.
@rozoro4215 Godwyn's soul is dead, but his body very much so is still alive. Fia protects herself with the esscence of warriors she has embraced, then there is the soul of one of the eldest dragons that is still holding on that has invaded Godwyn's mind. Fortisax acts against you, Godwyn is a still living husk that infects everything. Godwyn essentially is a cancer while the remnants of his dreams belong to whoever goes inside. Ranni could take over Godwyn, but much like Fortisax would become infected by Godwyn's cancer.
