My thing that I like about Consort Chun is as soon as the emperor said something about the choker. She knew exactly what Ruyi wanted her to do. Their bond is very gentle and understanding of one another. Ruyi respected her and she gave the same to her.
You can never trust a back stabber like Jia. She’s savage and should’ve been cast out with her treacherous offspring long ago. She gets too much favor even when she’s being punished. Beautiful Assassin.

And when she realized she'd been tricked by Jia to participate in a scheme, she sincerely apologized to Ruyi and was loyal to her from then on. So since she was aware of the prince situation, is clearly educated enough to know about Phoenix and peony, and Ruyi told her the necklace came from Jia, it is very likely she knows what she's doing, even if she is more subtle than the Madam at the end.
if anything ruyi's too nice. all the other ladies were afraid of the previous empress and didn't dare disrespect her to her face but it makes me sad that now the harem is just stepping all over ruyi. she needs to be more assertive.
her kindness is what makes everyone like her, yet it is also what makes her so uncapable of being empress, and even being part of the harem... if u dont have the energy to fight in the harem, then u shldnt enter it

Well, ruyi is witty empress too... She didn't give the necklace for nothing... By she gave noble consort chun that necklace, she indirectly told the emperor that jia has suspicious intention... If she tell directly, emperor will judge she is jealous, hate, or something... And yes, she told everyone about reward and punishment...

If the birth mother of the Crown Prince and the Empress are not the same person, and they both outlive the emperor without being abandoned, they will both be dowager empresses. The birth mother would be "圣母皇太后" (Saint Mother Dowager) and the Empress will be "母后皇太后" (Empress Mother Dowager). The birth mother would be at a slightly lesser rank if the Empress still lives to be dowager empress. Royal mother is just a special name.
The legitimate wife of this emperor's father, also Ruyi's aunt, was abandoned by her husband and died when this emperor became in reign. So only his foster mother (Zhen Huan, the empress dowager in this series) became dowager empress.

Everyone who had worked in Obstetrics knows this also know condition known as bicordanite uterus (a woman can be born with 2 uteruses fused as 1 with irregular cycles so between the fused uteruses can be positioned as high & low). So that old wives tale about revealing gender thru food was debunked by science.

The defining features could not be seen clearly enough on the ultrasound?! Sounds the frequency for picture transmission on the scan frequency was not strong enough below the 700 kHz. A much clearer picture with high resolution would be 900 kHz & more clearer details would be shown. The ultrasound equipment uses radio frequency for picture transmission.
