But I think this show has enough action and slapstick comedy to win over many male fans. If only they gave it a chance. Oh well, this show was still successful and is a classic!

This is truly a remarkable story which I'm sure needs no explanation as to the depth of love and devotion, also the character development. As a 64 year old totally CRAZED ANIME MADMAN, I'm actually already in tears over this series. How I never even heard of it before is beyond me. I hope I'm not getting dementia. LOL. 👍

No. More like one of the best manga ever. They should remake the anime so it's up to modern standards in drawing style. It's still very entertaining as it is, but this story deserves a re-draw that makes it better still, and that will widen the fanbase. It's outdated style is greatly holding it back, and literally gets the anime made fun of. Considering this is the best anime for a female audience, that's pretty bad, and they really should do a remake.

I dont really like commenting 2 times on 1 anime series but I have to say that I watched this series once already and being a male, I cried my eyes out. I'd love to watch it a second time but honestly it's so heartbreaking and gut wrenching that I just can't do it. I have the entire series saved anyway but maybe someday, if I get up enough courage I'll be able to watch it a second time I pray. I guess I was just born to emotional. Best anime I've ever had the pleasure of watching.
