You learned how to up-level your editing insanely quickly. Highly impressed

Thank you! It's been painful I have to say haha

@@itsclaraiglesias lol, I feel that. Learning and then applying what you learn on a time crunch is stressful. Does that mean you determined that editing really isn't for you?

@@nowuc glad to hear I'm not the only one! And I'm not sure yet, I feel like I could edit a similar video way quicker now so I might give it another go at some point but I genuinely don't think it's necessary

@@itsclaraiglesias you're definitely not lol. And I don't think it's necessarily necessary either. It just depends what you train your audience to expect, I think. What I'm considering atm is making about 1/4 videos heavily edited. That way I can learn and challenge myself while still being consistent and not stressing myself out

can you recommend some videos you watched to learn AE more in-depth?

This was super interesting. It’s one thing to be inspired and another to copy. But hopefully even the copycats will develop their own style.

Yep definitely! I want to think they're just learning. I used to try and recreate my favourite youtubers' videos when I was starting and it helped me learn how to make good videos. But eventually you need to do your own thing

I'm not sure if it will be a value add or value reduction for me to put much focus on my personel brand. My upcoming channel is more about my research and how it helps obese people. I'm not the topic. But it is exclusively my deep research. I dunno which way to go on this issue.

People take advice only from those they trust (the school degrees, knowledge, experience & skills aren't enough). They go to that doctor cause a trustworthy friend recommended, they buy that thing cause the celeb they admire has it, they eat that food cause it reminds them their childhood when grandma (familiarity & trust) used to make for them.
Personal brand is building that trust. Is becoming that familiar face, trusted, real, knowledgeable person.
Unfortunately there's also some big fraudsters doing it and much smaller ones like this Daniel, who's just being the facade, the marketing face, of some really rich people's companies. It is common that big brands partner up with famous personalities to drive the marketing (see Huberman with AG1 and many others) and we all know and accept it because it is public and they're not pretending to be running businesses... Unfortunately with this Daniel things are sketchy, cause for some weird reason, he's acting like a big deal running real companies and opening fulfillment centers when in reality he is not. And it's really confusing why he's doing it...

Would anyone recommend a camera/lens to get that daniel dalen vibe under 350usd?
I have an iPhone 13, I have colour graded and stuff but it doesn't have that warm/smooth look to it. It's like iPhone is just too sharp it seems. I don't know.
Maybe ill buy a mist filter for iPhone... just want to use my budget wisely and get something I know will work

Im thinking about giving up honestly, nothing harder than spending 1 week editing a video only to get very few people watching it
