Bro when i got to this mission i was so hyped because i thought i knew how it ends, little did i know 10 mins later my hatred towards british ships would escalate to a whole new atmosphere

Man, the demo definitely made the game look better in some ways than it was. You could actually crouch outside of a bush in this demo and the interactions were more realistic while blending. Still love Black Flag. Great game and really the last good Assassins Creed imo
Unity was the last real AC game, and has the best AC design for missions and gameplay in general (even though it wasn't polished fully). Black Flag is good as a game, but bad as an AC game

I love watching this video and was sorely disappointed when they gutted the mission that this is supposed to be. Some of lines are the same; but they are out of order and frankly don't make sense. The jungle ruins are replaced by what looks like the ruins of an estate; and you don't get to kill anyone at the end, they run right by you without even seeing you. There's more, but you get the idea. Oh well; this video is still epic; I just wish they had left the level alone.
I reckon that their reason would is for the gameplay to be consistent with the rest of the missions, and that this gameplay only serves as a trailer and nothing more.
Why the hell did they take out the enhanced blending like drinking and wooing the girl? Same thing with environmental kills in other videos. It's like they *wanted* to release a worse game than they already had.
I could have sworn that there was at least one specific blend group in this mission in the actual game that I was able to perform the enhanced blending.
@@drujbanu good thing it was added in later games. Currently replaying my fav AC Syndicate on PC, haven't played since 2017 on ps4 and it has social stealth. I'm going to buy Ac 4 again for the nostalgia and pirate itch.

The new blending mechanics are pretty cool :) I like how Edward naturally starts chatting up the people he's hiding with It's a marked improvement of how in previous games Ezio and Connor just stood in the middle of a crowd of people awkwardly, or just put their heads down and tried hard not to be noticed
Why was this mission in the final product not kept like this? I'll be honest, this version is actually better than the version we got. It just flows a lot better, overall.
it kinda was, except for the talking which is a cut feature, and the jungle part did look graphically better. they changed the ending cause that would have actually spolied what happens in the end of that mission
I agree with you so much! I loved ac2's story and I love ezio he was a great character, but ac3 had so much that it was a very enjoyable AC game. Connor was so new so different, so diverse it was very good i loved AC3 i loved all the ac games and ive enjoyed them all.
What I like is that they are bringing back the AC1-style missions,where you are treated like an assassin(you are given 1 task,the tools,and you do it however you want).I was really happy when I heard that.

I think the time period will be great for exploration. I loved the naval missions in ACIII (about the only thing, other than fighting mechanics and tree running). As far as weapons, I suppose based on interviews, you dictate how well an enemy knows you are there. Didn't want a new AC game? Too bad, it is a money making machine. You know that, I know that, and Ubisoft damn well knows it. I just hope they continue making content-filled games. ACIII had very little content and was just pretty.
Actually, the whole thing seems more natural than the other games. Edward actually looks like he belongs in the world, instead of sticking out in the crowds. the assassinations are more fluid, the interaction with the NPCs is pretty decent, along with some of the blending spots being less obtrusive; it's not just some random crowd passing along a street or standing around, they're talking, playing games, all the stuff that people actually do. All in all this looks amazing.
I don't know why the actual mission is significantly different than what is shown here. Probably a rare Developers Only Edition? Imo, this one looked too good. Not to mention you can't crouch unless you're in the foliage but here you can. I was like WTH! how do you crouch when I was playing. :/

Sadly this is the part were Blackbeard dies in the game. After seeing this I could say the mission was changed a lot. In the actual game, the lads were celebrating Blackbeard retirement when he sees the rat and follow him. Also, the drinking and talking with the lady on benches animation were not in the game.
I loved AC3. My biggest complaint was the way they held your hand so damn hard through most of the story missions. Please Ubisoft stick to what you do best listening to the fans and improving on stuff like that. Great trailer by the way.

It does seem a bit unfair though. AC1 you kill the English, AC3 you kill the English, AC4 you kill the English. I would like to play as a proper English character, Edward is only half English and Haytham (who is a villain) was voiced by a Canadian so I never felt like I was playing as someone English. I know it seems strange and I'm not that bothered by it, but if you put yourself into an English persons shoes, you can't help but feel like it's all one sided.
Eagle vision is something that relatives of the first civilization have. It has NOTHING to do with being an Assassin. Haytham is a Templar and has his. Desmond and His ancestors all have it because he is a descendant of Adam (Adam and Eve, were First Civ/Human Hybrids). Also Aveline from A3 Liberation has Eagle Vision, and is a descendant of Eve. Edward joined the Assassins like Aveline and Connor. Ezio and Alïar were raised into the order by their family.
People say Assassins Creed is getting repetitive.. Yet there is Call of Duty that has barely changed anything and you guys still play it. Assassins Creed is great, the story is great, AC3 didn't really impress me all that much other then the hunting and collecting, but I enjoyed playing. So Shut up about the game getting repetitive.
ACB is a 2010 game and for it's time is pretty decent and even better then AC3 in some aspects. As for the word in AC3 is quite boring I find Italy(from AC2 and ACB) being better, more memorable. As for Ezio it's simply a better character then Connor has a better personality. That's why people like him more. Everybody likes a ladies man.
I know right, I mean it is the Kenway saga, so the Kenway's will have similar fighting styles, and parkour styles. Plus here's an assumption, Achilles and Edward knew eachother and were trained by the same mentor, then Edward trained Haytham, then Connor finds Achilles and learns the same fighting style, and that is what I believe will happen.

While I agree in being charitable to the AC4 team, and I believe they are doing a bang up job with AC4 and the open world concept; I also understand the skepticism of fans of the AC franchise. As I have stated to many of my friends, I would not buy another AC game unless stealth and open world concepts returned. I do not believe in throwing good money away just to be a fanboy. ACIII was a poor excuse for a game at the price of $60+ dollars. The bugs took away from the ACIII enjoyability factor.
what is so fascinating about ezio? That he's Italian (I presume) and he has a way with the ladies, full of charm. I mean really. I don't get it. every AC video I watch has comments about each assassin and evidently everyone seems to think Ezio is the best. In my opinion he had the worst personality to be considered and assassin. His skills were great but his character didn't fit as well as altair and Connor's did. I think so far Connor is the best assassin. Edward looks like he to will be great.
I wouldn't say AC3 is the absolute mess of a game that people make it out to be, but I wouldn't say that disagreeing with Ubisoft's decisions makes you a 'fake' AC fan Look at AC2: they listened to the criticism and advice of the first game, kept what was good, took out what wasn't, improved on the parts that people found lacking, and they made a brilliant game I didn't really like AC3, but I'm still looking forward to AC4
I must admit I was very skeptical... but I am happy it is taking a shift from the old AC... the old one was awesome but I think the old style is almost played out... seriously the entire awesome factor is its a game that doesn't have weapons you can find in call of duty.. well not the entire awesome factor but for me its a big part... if they stuck with it how many more could they really come up with before it stopped making sense or got modern?
I agree, people keep bitching about it but I dont see why. The combat engine is much better, fluid and badass, adding hunting is very cool, the storyline is awesome with a surprising and crazy, as aways, ending. The only things that I didnt like is the fact that dyed outfits could not be shown in cutscenes, the new face of desmond and rebecca, and the way they show us, brazillians, it is not offensive but is kinda funny
How come people cannot enjoy the game. In the making AC3 Ubisoft wanted a change in style of the franchise, and they did an amazing job with that. Maybe they didn't create the masterpiece they wanted but thats just part of change. You may not be comfortable with change but it will make things better in the end. There is no doubt in my mind that this game will live up to its expectations and be one of the top games of 2013. If these people were REAL AC fans they would show support.
Mrsuperx5 yes, there, is a gameplay difference. Enemies have been made harder to encouage stealth. 2 gun shots kill you now, so you have to use meatshields more often. Also they added a crouch button to further stealth. Killstreaks are still an option, you just have have more skill at not getting hit by guards inbetween the kills. Finally, the game has been made to be more open, and allow player choice as to how to approach and kill a target, unlike AC3 where most target events were scripted.
and we'll see more of the Assassin's Brotherhood. I felt AC3 wasn't about the Assassin's and Templars entirely. But about a man in a machine experiencing his ancestor's village burn down, and this ancestor trying to protect them from worst disasters. Also he aids people trying to free themselves from an empire so they can create their own nation. It did mention and involve that element, but it wasn't an important one. My point is I hope you don't forget an important element which is the war
Will the Assassin Order have a major role in this story. I'm hoping so. After finishing AC3, I felt the Order didn't have a major role. Ubisoft, I love you and your games with all my heart, and I'm hoping you all are not moving away from the Assassin vs. Templar war element. So far, the only Assassin's I've seen in this game are Edward and Aveline. I've mainly seen Pirates and Privateers so far. But I'm not entirely relying on what I see. I've hope that the war will have a decently major role
it's set in the Caribbean so it's some ports in florida some in mexico, and I'd be willing to bet that there is some back in europe...maybe they are using kenway as a transport because think about it he has a ship he can go anywhere in the world and spread his seed and have kids across the globe. maybe he is a helpful transitional character as well as being an awesome story line?
Am I the only one who preferred Three over all them. I don't understand the overstated love for the first Assassin's Creed, although this is one of my favorite series, my own opinion (although it really doesn't matter) is that I thought the first four were kind of boring and very repetitive. Exciting at first, but after awhile... But that doesn't change the fact that the games are brilliant
AC2 was my favorite.. since then there haven't been many major improvements. AC3 was a huge personal letdown.. having spent more time researching the game than actually playing it.. i want to be able to initiate double and triple kills on my own.. and not with pistols... especially the way you hunch and spin like you're autistic or something. and is it just me or do the hidden blade assassinations get old in AC1? add at least a little variety.. still the same animations..

That's the beauty of it; there's a whole lot of thought that has been put into mythologizing it. It would fit perfectly. The source of their power is an apple, and the architecture could draw from Mesopotamia and classical era Greece. Perhaps it's destroyed as a causality of the war between assassins and templars, and that was the "truth" of Atlantis.
I don't blame them for milking out Ezio's story for 3 full games. He was a lovable, witty, fan-favorited character. Connor can not compare to him in the slightest way, In my opinion atleast, and I'm not a big fan of the "animus" and such. it would be a much better franchise if they stuck with a family tree of assassins throughout different time periods, no more Desmond tooty frooty bullshit.
probably because this is also for current gen consoles. if they made it with graphics that look 100% next gen they'd also have to make it only for next gen consoles (and pc). in which case the game wouldn't sell well and ubisoft would get so much hate for releasing it this year because not everyone can afford a brand new console. OR they wait to release it and get shit on anyways because consumers are never pleased. making a game with a half step up rather than a full, is the best idea.

Years later, and this game is still amazing! Even after you finish the game, there's still plenty of stuff to do, and you can easily get distracted.

Plus here's an assumption, Achilles and Edward knew eachother and were trained by the same mentor, then Edward trained Haytham, then Connor finds Achilles and learns the same fighting style, and that is what I believe will happen.
Yeah when I got bored of the combat I tried doing stealthy shit but it's so fucking frustrating because the stealth in that game was atrocious it was not the worst game in the AC franchise tho i'd rate it like this

I always liked the combat from before I was not one of those people who just waited and countered I actually attacked and used the grabbing skill and kneed people and what not but it was still challenging in AC3 it was so easy that it got extremely boring

Connor was not made for stealth. He was a powerhouse. It depends of how you approch the situation. Still a true assassin connor was!

While I agree in being charitable to the AC4 team, and I believe they are doing a bang up job with AC4 and the open world concept; I also understand the skepticism of fans of the AC franchise. As I have stated to many of my friends, I would not buy another AC game unless stealth and open world concepts returned. I do not believe in throwing good money away just to be a fanboy. ACIII was a poor excuse for a game at the price of $60+ dollars. The bugs took away from the ACIII enjoyability factor.
what is so fascinating about ezio? That he's Italian (I presume) and he has a way with the ladies, full of charm. I mean really. I don't get it. every AC video I watch has comments about each assassin and evidently everyone seems to think Ezio is the best. In my opinion he had the worst personality to be considered and assassin. His skills were great but his character didn't fit as well as altair and Connor's did. I think so far Connor is the best assassin. Edward looks like he to will be great.
I wouldn't say AC3 is the absolute mess of a game that people make it out to be, but I wouldn't say that disagreeing with Ubisoft's decisions makes you a 'fake' AC fan
Look at AC2: they listened to the criticism and advice of the first game, kept what was good, took out what wasn't, improved on the parts that people found lacking, and they made a brilliant game
I didn't really like AC3, but I'm still looking forward to AC4
I must admit I was very skeptical... but I am happy it is taking a shift from the old AC... the old one was awesome but I think the old style is almost played out... seriously the entire awesome factor is its a game that doesn't have weapons you can find in call of duty.. well not the entire awesome factor but for me its a big part... if they stuck with it how many more could they really come up with before it stopped making sense or got modern?
I agree, people keep bitching about it but I dont see why. The combat engine is much better, fluid and badass, adding hunting is very cool, the storyline is awesome with a surprising and crazy, as aways, ending. The only things that I didnt like is the fact that dyed outfits could not be shown in cutscenes, the new face of desmond and rebecca, and the way they show us, brazillians, it is not offensive but is kinda funny
How come people cannot enjoy the game. In the making AC3 Ubisoft wanted a change in style of the franchise, and they did an amazing job with that. Maybe they didn't create the masterpiece they wanted but thats just part of change. You may not be comfortable with change but it will make things better in the end. There is no doubt in my mind that this game will live up to its expectations and be one of the top games of 2013. If these people were REAL AC fans they would show support.
Mrsuperx5 yes, there, is a gameplay difference. Enemies have been made harder to encouage stealth. 2 gun shots kill you now, so you have to use meatshields more often. Also they added a crouch button to further stealth. Killstreaks are still an option, you just have have more skill at not getting hit by guards inbetween the kills. Finally, the game has been made to be more open, and allow player choice as to how to approach and kill a target, unlike AC3 where most target events were scripted.
and we'll see more of the Assassin's Brotherhood. I felt AC3 wasn't about the Assassin's and Templars entirely. But about a man in a machine experiencing his ancestor's village burn down, and this ancestor trying to protect them from worst disasters. Also he aids people trying to free themselves from an empire so they can create their own nation. It did mention and involve that element, but it wasn't an important one. My point is I hope you don't forget an important element which is the war
Will the Assassin Order have a major role in this story. I'm hoping so. After finishing AC3, I felt the Order didn't have a major role. Ubisoft, I love you and your games with all my heart, and I'm hoping you all are not moving away from the Assassin vs. Templar war element. So far, the only Assassin's I've seen in this game are Edward and Aveline. I've mainly seen Pirates and Privateers so far. But I'm not entirely relying on what I see. I've hope that the war will have a decently major role
it's set in the Caribbean so it's some ports in florida some in mexico, and I'd be willing to bet that there is some back in europe...maybe they are using kenway as a transport because think about it he has a ship he can go anywhere in the world and spread his seed and have kids across the globe. maybe he is a helpful transitional character as well as being an awesome story line?
Am I the only one who preferred Three over all them. I don't understand the overstated love for the first Assassin's Creed, although this is one of my favorite series, my own opinion (although it really doesn't matter) is that I thought the first four were kind of boring and very repetitive. Exciting at first, but after awhile... But that doesn't change the fact that the games are brilliant
AC2 was my favorite.. since then there haven't been many major improvements. AC3 was a huge personal letdown.. having spent more time researching the game than actually playing it.. i want to be able to initiate double and triple kills on my own.. and not with pistols... especially the way you hunch and spin like you're autistic or something.
and is it just me or do the hidden blade assassinations get old in AC1? add at least a little variety.. still the same animations..

That's the beauty of it; there's a whole lot of thought that has been put into mythologizing it. It would fit perfectly. The source of their power is an apple, and the architecture could draw from Mesopotamia and classical era Greece. Perhaps it's destroyed as a causality of the war between assassins and templars, and that was the "truth" of Atlantis.
I don't blame them for milking out Ezio's story for 3 full games. He was a lovable, witty, fan-favorited character. Connor can not compare to him in the slightest way, In my opinion atleast, and I'm not a big fan of the "animus" and such. it would be a much better franchise if they stuck with a family tree of assassins throughout different time periods, no more Desmond tooty frooty bullshit.
probably because this is also for current gen consoles. if they made it with graphics that look 100% next gen they'd also have to make it only for next gen consoles (and pc). in which case the game wouldn't sell well and ubisoft would get so much hate for releasing it this year because not everyone can afford a brand new console. OR they wait to release it and get shit on anyways because consumers are never pleased. making a game with a half step up rather than a full, is the best idea.
