    Thanks! Glorian...I don't know who's voice is, but I have to say it again that the way this teacher is speaking, his vibration, tonality and the way he presents the themes (through the heart) made a huge difference for me. I'm not looking to brash his ego and I know there is no chance I could do it . Just wanted to express my deep gratitude for his presence here. I was able to finally get into gnostic teachings, discover and experienced so much mostly due to this teacher who manage to reach the depths of my being. Thank you!

    I have been following your lectures since the days the organisation was called GnosticTeachings, in these times bringing me out truly the lowest lows. This time again I felt to a lowest low, being taken care of in the psychiatric hospital. Everything has been stripped away, beliefs, fundaments, love, motivation. Yet in these darkest moments, the healing that is occurring started by grace of your lectures (I casually took a printed lecture out of the book staple - about ‘Death’ ironically the begin of this transformation) until reading your materials became a frequent, essential practice to daily life. Thank you for caring for humanity, for your uploaded videos and courses. I can’t thank you enough for all you have done. You truly are lifesaving. Thank you for everything. So much gratitude and respect to you.

    I can’t believe how impactful just the simple act of a body scan to relax the body and mind before meditation. I’ve overlooked this step for years and have suffered due to the result of that. However after implementing this it’s easier for me to focus and concentrate during my practice. Much gratitude 🙏

    When you meditate, take up the position which is most comfortable for you. You do not have to go into physical contortions. Rest and relax. Tell yourself to relax and release all your limbs, including your head, neck, face, into a state of utter limpness.
    I must impress on you that meditation should be - eventually - as simple as slipping into slumber. The purpose of meditation is to enable your entire consciousness to move beyond the boundaries of intellect and reason. Save yourself 45 minutes in from of a screen .

    This relaxation exercise is very much like Yoga Nidra, except Yoga Nidra is performed while lying down. The purpose of Yoga Nidra is to relax the body and the mind. Scientifically this type of exercise is called non-sleep deep rest/relaxation, NSDR.
    I would recommend making a separate standalone video of this exercise so people can access it on a daily basis.

    Throughout this exercise I had the constant feeling of not getting enough air, or better jet, of the air in my breath of not being of a rich and nourishing enough quality to feel satiated with air. It felt like being constricted. This changed somewhat towards the end when the air in my breath felt fresh and satiating but the feeling of not enough room and a constricting quality around my solar plexus remained quite strong. This created the constant urge to flee.
    I guess over time, with more practice and experience that maybe I can work on this by experimenting with posture?
    I was only able to sit with this by trusting the nature of beginnings and reminding myself to just relax and observe.
    But … I also have a hunch that this paranoid, hectic quality of ‚not being in a good enough composure right now‘ is a constant, moment to moment companion of mine that just presented itself to me in this tangibility through this exercise.
    Do I just continue to sit with it?

      It takes some practice to develop the posture because of tension that needs to relax, muscles that are not used to it, and other little adjustments that gradually get made. Try different postures for meditation, and some light stretching.

    Throughout the excercise the back of my neck became more tense and irritable. No amount of attention could relax it, but it wasn’t so bad, I thought I could just observe and move past it. Once I reached the end where I placed full attention around my head, I suddenly began to feel as if I were about to puke. I had a strange light headedness, like maybe I was about to fall over. I then left my chair and had to lie down on my bed to recover. Any theories why this happened?

    • @Glorian
      @Glorian  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Just as when you first start exercising, sometimes you feel nausea or dizziness; this is similar to that: starting to meditate stirs up stagnation and moves energy. It is also possible there was some pressure or tension along the spinal column that was creating this result. If it happens again, change your posture or take a break.

      @bossybuddha 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Do not worry about drooling. The impediment is giving attention to this, as the focus is to withdraw to the drowsy state, then leave into a samadhi. Alertness should be increasing, while allowing the body to full rest. A samadhi requires the body, emotional and intellectual centres to rest, so the soul can leave.

    • @adventure09

      @@bossybuddha Thank you. When performing pranayama, up to which point do you know when one enters the withdrawal state of pratyahara, and proceeds from there?

    • @bossybuddha
      @bossybuddha 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Pranayama should be done at the beginning stages of meditation in order to settle the physical body and reorient the energetic channels. In the middling stages where concentration is deepening you should not be moving or making adjustments, unless absolutely necessary. A change in asana at some point is appropriate, if you know the physical body is better to enter into samadhi through the lying posture. The reason for this is because of drowsiness, unless you are accustomed to full rest of the physical body in the full lotus asana.

    I believe that you are saying the truth but I can’t find any way it’s possible at all. I have not found it even remotely possible to sit upright and relax every muscle. Even as they describe to hold your hips so your head doesn’t flop. Well, that takes muscles to hold your hips that way. And otherwise, when I do relax every muscle, I fall asleep. I see no way whatsoever to not be in either tension, or to fall into sleep. The point of equilibrium is like trying to perch on the head of a needle. That doesn’t feel stable. Is there some way to be stable at the point of rest? I always fall of the head of the pin quickly.
