This was excellent. The Carlotta was meaty and gorgeous which is how this role really shines,. The impresario men were excellent in diction tone and clarity. Meg and Giry are rarely audible as they are singing do low in this number anyway. It’s just the way it’s written.

I don't understand why madame giry is part of this song, she knows how dangerous erik/the phantom is, so why would she not only let them piss him off but also join the song?

Same. The whole point of the story is that she isn't quite good enough! This singer certainly has the technical goods to deliver some pretty difficult and challenging coloratura singing.
