My mom used to work as a self employed housekeeper in Paradise Valley, when I was a kid, back in the 80s. Scottsdale and Paradise Valley in the Valley of the Sun. Place where I was born. The rent on that house is cigarette money for some people, I think if I was in my twenties I'd be on the plane right now. And if you want to drink beer and sit upstairs that's not a problem you just need to install a slide. 😅
The only problem with a bedroom upstairs is when you have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night..overall a nice place. I wonder how far from town this place is and if you need a car.
This home has a strong influence from Arizona and New Mexico. What most people from the USA is that architects are very active in Colombia and for sure there was an architect who design the interior of an older home. Geno, did you rent this home? This house has an unusual style for what are the common houses in the small towns of Colombia. It looks more like a city house, and if it were in a capital city the rent would easily be $500 a month.

Wow Gino that's a beautiful house definitely what i need , the only quirk i see is that spiral staircase and the very lov ceiling in the kitchen , i guess it was designed for Colombians, everything else is great, i plan on visiting your area soon God willing , already retired and taking care of loose ends before i move to Colombia hopofully at the end of the year.

How do you get medications from US Drs filled in Columbia? I have several health conditions that prevent me from being a reliable employee. I can't plan anything in the first half of the day because of coronary artery spasms. My landlord just raised my rent by $200 a month over what I was already paying. I have no idea what to do but from looking at my options here in the US I can't afford to live anywhere but in a vehicle. I get $1800 a month in disability. It's just me and my son. I just had to pay toward my mom's funeral money I didn't have to spare. We don't have passports and as long as I have these living expenses I wont have any money to get passports to go anywhere else. I don't know what to do.

Love the concept and the rental cost. Expand on distance to major cities, furniture purchasing, healthcare etc......i see myself in that "Casa"

Oh yeah Dave, that stairway is a very big hazard for older people, and it was clearly an error in the architectural design.

Bogota has a lot of cheap options too though? I have been there once before and thinking about moving there after my lease ends in Guadalajara.
