Once the capital of China’s Qing dynasty, Shenyang is an evolving provincial city. With a population of 8.3 million, Shenyang is the third-largest city in Northeast China. This heavily industrialized inland area is slowly developing consumer and services sectors.
Shenyang’s major industries include autos, chemicals, construction and equipment manufacturing. Recently, Shenyang begun to develop less resource-intensive industries, such as information technology. Shenyang has also started to recruit non-state-owned companies.

This seems like an informative video, but I had to give it up, How can anyone spend time to prepare a video, then sabotage it, with unnecessary, annoying background music? which successfully competes with the narrative, is beyond me. So many videos are like this, seems someone started this nonsense, then like sheep the rest follows, Thank God for Frontline, and a few others. I mean what's the rationale behind it, when the title said one thing, then commences to play loud music. YEESH

Moved to Shenyang in 2012. I remember those early days thinking what a mistake I made because it was definitely behind other Chinese cities. 10 years on I am in awe of the progress and how much it has changed. Even right now, daily I see changes, whether it's new roads, Upgraded sidewalks, new malls. It's truly unbelievable. Yesterday we visited one of the older malls which was very specific looking at that time, and when i think of the new malls like K11 and MixC, Shenyang has modernized so much and I'm glad that I was able to see the transformation of this City. Shenyang is our Home 🇨🇳❤️

Shenyang's biggest company is actually AVIC Shenyang Aircraft Co., Ltd. It produces J11 (similar as F16), J15 (similar as F18), J16 (similar as F15EX）and FC31 (similar as F35).
Military-focused aerospace products.
Shenyang is also an important center of metallurgy and machinery and equipment manufacturing industries

I lived in Shenyang from 2001-2015, it was an amazing life experience. My wife is from Shenyang. Last summer we took our 3 year old boy Kairen to visit his grandparents. Shenyang is so much more beautiful visually and of course the Dong Bei people are so kind and friendly, well done Shenyang.
I remember that cozy and amazing city I spent 5 years in! Worked & Studied, had too much fun, and had too many things to dream about!!! Night walks along the AoTi coastline left bright memories that I swipe all the time. Shenyang Gong Ye Da Xue, Shenyang City... My thoughts will always take me there...

One of the Chinese major city in terms of aircraft technology development beside Chengdu and Xi'an. Chinese 5th gen stealth fighter engine was designed by this city aircraft company before been sent to Xi'an for manufacture. Another major production of Shenyang is its famously said often provided many actress for Chinese entertainment means that this city has more pretty woman.
Been said that also this city is one of the ancient city of China that already existed since the Song dynasty and this city is the example of multicultural city which inhabited by the mixed people of Korean Jurchen, Manchu, Mongol, Altaic, Han, and Russian in the past.

Stayed in Shenyang for three years. Never seen such rapid development of any other city outside of China. Upon arrival in 2012, they were still busy with the construction of the steel structure of the concert hall, less than a year later it was completed. Fond memories of a great city and a great country as a whole. The work ethic of the Chinese people is unmatched anywhere else on the planet.

Nice touch intermixing the historical footage along with the new to highlight the innovation & development in Shenyang. Interesting about the BMWs being made there. I had a beautiful 85 Cherry Red 325 & a 72 Brown big Bavaria BMWs. Now I am driving a Ford Focus. The Royal Palace Complex was intriguing and looks like a wonderful tourist stop. I love interesting architectural designs. I used to install Building Design Systems/General Drafting Systems in the US & Canada for McDonnell Douglas Architectural & Engineering Company years ago. I installed Chinese Architect I.M. Pei's system in New York. He was a fascinating man. He designed the glass pyramid at the Louvre in Paris among his many unique works. Great drone video as always! I enjoyed the video!!!!!

@@Reporterfy Well, I knew enough to install them, wire them, set them up, verify quality checks on plotters etc & then train someone to be the System Administrator. Oh, also get the Signature that paid the MONEY!! I focused on those tasks above and didn't really go beyond the minimal required to sell these puppies & get the money! 🙂

But Shenyang and liaoning province has contributed greatly since China founded . People in Shenyang is very friendly and straight forward, nothing can not be solved with a pint of beer and BBQ skewers haha. I’m confident it will raise up again !!!

Good for you to learn so much about the history and delelopment about Shen Yang. It is the core of China's industrial technology, the one thing I am familiar with is the machine tools. Shen Yang has ended the monopoly of Germany and Japan on machine tools area. The city really has a divinable bright future!

I went there recently and had a 24 hour layover which is really common when you fly the discount airlines from the US to SE Asia. Most foreigners just hang out in the hotel they provide you but I decided to explore the city of Shenyang since it seemed to have some cool and ancient tourist attractions. It’s a really beautiful city and the people are really nice and the food is friggin’ delicious. The only issue was that NO ONE spoke English. Not even in the slightest. I was expecting at least at tourist attractions, there would be one, but no. And I didn’t have an international SIM card yet so very difficult to access the internet for translating apps. But luckily it worked a little. I’m not super complaining but it’s much different than in Thailand or many other countries were American culture is idolized. In China, I found they could care less for Americans, believe it or not. But at the end of the day, everyone was still super nice. And I felt very very safe. The streets were the cleanest I had ever seen for a big city (there were workers constantly sweeping everywhere). And being one of very few tourists was actually kinda nice, once I was able to get to where I wanted to be. And no one ripped me off which was super nice and they easily could have. It’s a shame Americans have such a negative perception of China due to our politicians. I will also say, the citizens seemed very content. I saw tons of old people congregating outside in plazas socializing, dancing and exercising. Families enjoying their version of Central Park. They were just people living their lives.
