Nice shave Henry and conversation. I sold my 2 brass razors and kept the SS version in 1. Both Karve. They sure looked nice but had unavoidable uneven patina even when washed and dried after use. Flared up my mild ocd. I didn’t care for the smell either of brass. The in transit patina makes sense. I had bought a new brass stand and it had water mark looking patina. I contacted the seller since I was new to brass and he mentioned “cargo sweats”. I initially thought it was BS but it is a real thing. Condensation can occur due to temp change and then it causes patina. I just used flitz(let it sit) and rinsed off and patina gone. But at the time was frustrated as the stand was new. The seller had tried those silicone packs and still didn’t work. So it is just part of the deal. Cheers!
I find it interesting that someone would request such an obscure song be played. They must have some serious connection with it. I’ve always been curious about the Wolfman razors, unfortunately I just can’t get passed the price tag. Take care now!
Nice shave, and fascinating story about the Maynard arrangement. I’m curious what the song was. I saw Maynard Ferguson in the late 90’s or early 2000’s as a young guy. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I loved the arrangement story. The estate route beats a seance any day, unless you're three surviving Beatles trying to work out an arrangement for "Free as a Bird." A locksmith once told me there's a reason all the moving parts in a lock are made of brass and all the others of steel, and ever since I've suspected there's a corollary about razors, including copper ones. But I haven't heard anything to confirm it. On the question of alums, I use Lea because it's in a convenient container like Omega but is twice as big for the same price. I've used Osma and found nothing in it that was so special as to put it above others that are easier to use.
Gorgeous razor. The camera really loves copper.

Yep, if you're even mild OCD then not worth it to bother with brass - lol!

Thanks for chiming in about the music, and for your alum experiences!
Neat razor! Copper needs either a lot or no polishing. The patina looks great, but not to the unitiated.
