One of the coolest things about the game is the end where Batman strangles joker. Through joker’s perspective, all he sees is the bat, the monster. He doesn’t see the man or the humanity, just like Batman can’t recognise the humanity in him.
That’s why their crusade to change the other is the definition of insanity; Batman can’t save what isn’t there, and joker can’t corrupt what isn’t there.
Just like batman can't recognize the lack of humanity in him.
1:00:49 the other assassins are side missions. And yes, they were recruiting Deathstroke for the suicide squad. It wasn't visible because of the other video links blocking it, but at the top of the confidential form it said either "Suicide Squad" or "Task Force X" which is usually the technical name for the squad.

The part where you are playing as Joker is a recreation of the Joker's most well known comic origin where he was disguised as the Red Hood after a robbery at the ACE Chemicals plant with two criminals which resulted in him falling in a vat of acid that permanently bleached his skin white, gave him naturally green hair and made his lips red.
Also how he was a failed comedian who the public mocked and chased off stage because he could never get the punchline right.

It's a recreation of ONE of Joker's origin stories, the one from Killing Joke. Like all Joker origins, it is ambiguous as to whether it is THE one or not

Batman and Alfred relationship in Arkham Origins is the best thing about the story
Agreed, what I love about it in this game is that they don't have a perfect relationship yet, and Bruce is still young and has lots of hostility towards Alfred's concerns even when valid, and even Alfred knows he is not right all the time either, so when we almost lose Alfred the two reconcile and see that they both need each other thus allowing us to naturally see their relationship grow and strengthen to become as close as a father and son that we see in the later games.
Roger Craig Smith (best known as Ezio Auditore from the Assassin’s Creed games and Sonic the Hedgehog) and Troy Baker (The Last Of Us, Uncharted 4, Death Stranding, and countless other outstanding performances) absolutely killed it as Batman and Joker respectively. If we ever get more Batman games they would be truly worthy successors to Conroy and Hamill.
Also scene of Joker singing his ode to Batman in the credits is amazing, you can just visualize Joker melodramatically moving around to that song.

Guys don’t forget the DLC stories Harley Quinn’s Revenge from Arkham City and Cold Cold Heart from Arkham Origins they are also part of those games as well and it would be a good recommendation

My most favorite lines of all Batman's version!
The Firefly boss fight usually doesn't take as along as it did in this video. GLP just took his sweet-ass time taking him down. It goes a lot faster when you spam him with constant batarangs and glue grenades instead of throwing one grenade and then dodging for thirty seconds before throwing another like GLP did.

God damn Troy Baker is a treasure. Hamill may be the best joker, but we cannot deny this is another incredible Troy performance.
Guys please before moving on watch the Mr. Freeze DLC of Arkham Origins titled Cold Cold Heart. It does a great job if adapting Mr. Freeze's origin from Batman The Animated Series and is the best DLC in the Arkham series.

Is it actually stablished as 3 hours of sleep for Batman? I remember watching Under The Red Hood Hood and liked some of the differences adapted from the comic.Alfred has a line with Dick and said something along the lines of “Master Wayne, got almost 3 whole hours of sleep in the past few nights” which I’m paraphrasing here. It reminds me of Christopher Nolan’s BRUCE fell asleep at the board meetings in The Dark Knight

1:07:13 I can think of just three reasons, but nothing that justifies disliking the game as a whole:
1) The map, even though it’s a combination of Arkham City’s map and new territories, it’s a barren frozen wasteland that’s a pain to go around in with very little to explore
2) Deathstroke, who is a DLC playable character in this game, his moves were mostly stolen from Robin in Arkham City
3) They did Shiva dirty. She’s the greatest martial artist in DC, and her fight was no different from fighting a minion
My biggest problem with the game was the change with Harley Quinn in Joker's story. They already had audio tapes in Asylum that told how it happened, so it happening in Blackgate felt immediately wrong and like they were shoehorning it in to me. It is just a nitpick but it was one of those things that really bothered me, probably because Asylum is my favorite game.
Also gameplay wise it felt just the tiniest bit off to me with the combat. Not enough to be broken or anything, it just didn't feel as smooth and satisfying.
The boss fights with Lady Shiva and Deadshot are side missions.
Joker: Those were 2 very bad men, the things they done(sna sna sna)
Lady Shiva and Deadshot are not part of the main story missions, each of them has their own side quest.

Joker and Harley are intersting. He has _some_ form of affection or attachment to her, and he certainly values her for her skills and intelligence, but his form of "love" for her isn't real.
I'm sure _he_ believes he loves Harley, at least in the years following their initial meeting here, but that doesn't mean he values her or anyone else as a human being, not even himself.
For Harley's side, yeah, she was already crazy before they met, but she wasn't necessarily evil or destructive. She was manipulative to be fair (there's implication in her backstory that she slept her way into a fast-tracked medical degree, specifically for the opportunity to work with mentally disturbed criminals due to an unhealthy fascination with them), but she wasn't actually hurting anyone aside from herself before she latched on to Joker. Unfortunately, she would prove herself to be nearly as bad as he was. The atrocities they committed separately and together are so bad that some TH-camrs can't even talk about them without getting demonitized.
Was Harley's love for the Joker real? Probably not, no. She was often alone in her youth and during her education, and she fixated on the first person to show her a degree of understanding, on top of being just the type of person she already had an unhealthy fascination with. They sort of magnified each other, in the worst way possible.
I can't lie. As a major fan of Batman, there is a little piece of my soul that hurts when people get things wrong about him and his villains. With that said, it's been super fun to watch you guys go on this journey through the arkham games, and I can't wait for Arkham Knight.
Totally agree with you, for example this women as a lot of people that thinks Batman feels some type of love for Joker, that's very rude and sad they think that, obviously they talk from the ignorance and they know nothing about the Batman world, for that reason you must to learn about any character before you react to videos like this or before you think to talk about some character and mostly talking about Batman. So that results disrespectful for someone that really knows and appreciate Batman character.

A big reason why Origins isn't viewed as highly is because of how buggy it was (your save files could literally disappear). They also sped up the combat which made it less enjoyable than the other games. Still a good game, overall, but it had a ton of problems.
The Suicide Squad game is set after Arkham Knight and continues Batman's story, so you could watch that after Arkham Knight. Despite this post-credit scene, Deathstroke isn't in the Suicide Squad game. At least not yet...
The end cut scene is not for the new trash suicide squad game, but rather a animated movie Batman: Assault on Arkham set in Arkham which is pretty good.
It also felt like a cheaper carbon vopy of city in terms of gameplay, the same old gadgets, the same gameplay mechanism. The only new thing was the shock gloves and the fast travel. And in general it didn't feel as well polished as the rocksteady ones have been.

Arkham Knight is gonna be incredible next week. It's my favourite in the series and it's an amazing end for the Arkham universe. I'm glad they knew when to end it and that nothing exists after that. Nothing. At. All.

The joker is psychotic, and it times it seems like he wants to die or Batman to kill him. What it is, is he wants Batman to break his morals and truly break the bat. For the last game that’s why he didn’t want to die because he is human and doesn’t wanna die, unless it’s with a purpose which is Batman

Since these video edits don't include the side content, you won't see Lady Shiva, Deadshot or even Anarky, Black Mask (who's still alive) and Mad Hatter in these. Since Arkham Knight is SUPER Side Content have, you're gonna miss a lot of the other villain's storylines.
The game at launch was seen as mainly filler (it also REALLY buggy too), because Rocksteady was cookin' up Arkham Knight as this dropped, and WB Montreal had to use the Arkham City engine, and build a game around it, which makes this doesn't do much to innovate. It's the sane ole same ole, especially when The Joker comes in and takes over the game. That said, the game isn't bad, it actually has grown a fondness and underrated status around it. Solid depictions of characters (Batman, Bane, Joker, and Deathstroke) it leans on elements the other Arkham games didn't like detective work, and wasn't as bloated as future titles will do.
I would suggest watching all the side stories, DLC stories, and the game over scenes from all the games later on, A LOT of effort was put into those, and are really memorable.
I think they're just picking these cutscenes blindly just for views....
It always annoys me that they have zero knowledge on comic book characters.

Bruce wayne is trained at that much level that even if he only sleeps for 2 hours that will be a full 8 hours sleep

Bruce trained himself to the point that his organism only requires 4 hours of sleep everyday. So he doesn't sleep in because that would be time wasted that could have been spent on his mission.

Not really. Alan Moore intended it to be it's own thing, separate from the dc universe continuity. This was never suppose to be his origin but dc included it anyway.

Bullock, Gordon's partner, shown only a bit in this game, is fleshed out really great in the Gotham Tv series..Gordon and Bullock camaraderie is quite goated there..I know you could not get into it back then, but in preparation for The Penguin, just try it out.
I remember the last Bane fight scaring the shit out of me when I played it. Obv it looks really easy in the video but it's only cus the player has it on easy mode.

We do beat both Shiva and Deadshot but they are both Optional missions so the video didn't have them. The end cut scene is not for the new trash suicide squad, but rather a animated movie set in Arkham which is pretty good.

I've missed a few videos but did they ever mention if they're gonna do the interview tapes for the games? I remember someone mentioning they wouldn't since it's not story necessary but I'd argue MK fatalities weren't necessary to story either lol 😂
