My baby of 5 months had blocked nose, so I softened the mucus with breastmilk, and when it was softened enough, I just vacuumed it out with my mouth 😶..
Omg!! I have been so worried about my baby. This gave me am insight on what to do and how to go about it. Thanks a lot Doctor. This was extremely helpful 🙏

Hello doctor my baby is 2 months old.. she is suffering from cold( thick mucus blocked) last 2 weeks..my doctor suggested mobilisation…but no use…how to reduce my baby cold…please reply sir…
No don’t do it,, it will irritate baby’s eyes as well. Instead of Vicks you can mix soft candle, pure coconut oil, and red lavender as a concoction and apply to baby’s chest and back. Another thing I did to clear my son’s congestion was mix breast milk with coconut oil and give baby to drink. The baby will either vomit or poop out the mucus. To speed up recovery you can add a small piece of onion in baby’s socks at night . It will help rid the flu virus from baby’s body.
Dr you have told to use the breast milk for the hard mucus in order to soften it .. does the breast milk causes ear infection as nose, ear and throat are connected each other.. because I have raed that breast milk causes ear infection.. can you clarify me regarding this matter??
@@premar4614 thanks for your comment. It s fine to use breast milk to break down mucus. If you're concerned about infection, consider using an alternative such as salt water. Thanks for your question
Means don't saline water causes any adverse effects on my baby.. because the people here telling not to use saline water on the daily basis.. so I'm worrying..
Hi, thanks for your comment! Yes, many of the electric nasal aspirators can be used in newborns and older. Personally though, i dont find they have the right power to remove the "gunk" like a manual aspirator does. Good luck!
That nose bulb hurts and tortures the child. My cousin didn't use any method like that and her baby turned out fine even with the normal colds and flu her daughter got!
@@stevepehta4709 Sure. It not only gets shoved in the nose but stops the child from breathing temporarily not to mention scares the child cause he doesn't know why he's getting his nose plugged in with a hard thing all of a sudden.
@mrs.847 thank you! I thought this was the device that only went into one nostril, but I may need to brush up on it. Our son actually seems to love when we use the thing, he giggles the entire time. That's why I was curious!
@@stevepehta4709I guess each child is different, I've seen my neighbor do it to her kids and they all scream and cry. It looks like an ordeal to the kids. It does go in one nostril at a time but it still looked like an awful way to clear out a child's nose. I wouldn't want that done to me.
