    Love these speaker, only gripe is the mounting of the smaller diameter drivers...I really do not like that solution...would rather have a standard flange solution..

    • @logans.670
      @logans.670 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      We have a new plastic flange coming out in the next few months to replace the metal ones, includes an additional tab to drop in to BMW/Tesla 4" locations too :)

    • @logans.670
      @logans.670 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The advantage of the mounting on our smaller drivers is that when using the standard grilles, the overall diameter is smaller than a standard driver of the same size, and when using the flush grilles, it allows it to be about the same diameter as more common 4" and 5.25" drivers with their standard "proud" mount grilles

    The have no high power subs and I haven't found any amps to many other brands that have those things to go with this you can't build a one brand system

    • @logans.670
      @logans.670 ปีที่แล้ว

      German Maestro is a loudspeaker manufacturer first, if they feel there is a need for them to build high power subwoofers or amplifiers then they will, but as it stands there are other companies that are invested in amplification or large subwoofers as they are in speakers. Or to put it another way, one brand systems are always the best for the manufacturer you're buying from, but not always the best for you.

  • @hifiman4562
    @hifiman4562 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Innovative? It only matters how they sound. Don't try to reinvent the speaker.

  • @grandprixgtp2001
    @grandprixgtp2001 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Seems like they carefully skirted around the timeline and history of the transition from Quart to GM. How can a different name sell the same patented design like Q series? They should have taken over the name and that would have made more sense. Think if Illusion Audio had changed the name to "Perfect Audio" and came out with the ND series while Illusion went on and made mediocre gear? Doesn't make sense.

    • @raymo6795
      @raymo6795 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Dude, so many great companies have sold out to cheap Chinese labor.The designers of original MB Quart are making high quality speakers in Germany... NOT CHINA. That is all you need to know.Even though I am sure the whole story is more complicated.However, the time line can be researched easily enough.I, for one, will take a German made product over a Chinese made product any day, especially at a similar price.

    • @TalonPro
      @TalonPro 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@raymo6795 You and they are ignoring the fact that the front speakers are different now and not everyone has or likes Bose. They need to pay attention to the cars being made NOW where people are more likely to have and spend money on a decent system, vs someone needing new speakers who wouldnt choose an expensive brand. Even then, very few Mazdas DID use a 5x7 since 2003.

    • @logans.670
      @logans.670 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TalonPro the 5x7 has been a part of the Epic/Concept line for quite a long time, when we update the technology in the line, we just update them as well, no need to drop the kit when we already have the molds for the baskets, We [Rep-Corps] operate a retail storefront as well, and do more 5x7/6x8 sets than you'd think, especially in older F-series and mustangs.

    • @logans.670
      @logans.670 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      As far as cars being made now, we can cover most vehicles being made today with our existing line, and are making updates to our mounting solutions to cover even more modern vehicles

      @@TalonPro …pretty sure GM will have all the sizes required for today’s cars, also pretty sure ALL the speaker makers still make the 5x7s….not sure what your hang up is…there were and are A TON of Fords and Mazdas that require 5x7s…Ford Escapes, Mercury Mariners Mazda Tributes, to name only a few….
