Anyone else notice how very, very different her speaking voice is from her singing voice? She somehow sounds older, more sophisticated when she sings,,, she has this classy, teacher-like voice, like a beautiful professor that a student would be crushing on. But, when just talking, she sounds younger, not particularly sophisticated or "warm"... friendly, yes, but just like a "regular person" for lack of a better phrase. It really kind of bugs me! Nothing against her speaking voice at all, but after loving the deep, silky sounds of her singing voice, it's almost a shock how un-similar her speaking voice sounds to that.
This is very strange, I just feel it the other way around. Singing like a young girl, indeed silky, but little cracking voice, sometimes very powerfull and high. And then speaking like the more adult woman (which she is ofcourse), warm, deep, friendly, classy. To me, she has the look of the girl next door, or from around the corner, down to earth, classy, friendly (I hope she is in real life), She comes to sing a song, she makes it sound easy, but is all very professional and very good! And ofcourse, she's very beautiful (to me) and has the most lovely smile!
Her last comment there is just another reason to love her more. Why does everything have to be about identity? You either make good music that people love, or you don't. You either sell out massive stadiums, making you a ton of money, or you don't. It's not about whether or not she's a woman.
