As a comedian nowhere near her level of talent or success I still struggle with putting the microphone back on the stand so watching her do it was inspiring. 😂
She is beautiful !! I love her outfit and she made me laugh so hard ! As someone living with a chronic invisible illness that steals my function .. you quickly realize the different way disabled people are treated as soon as you present in a wheelchair instead of on 2 feet 😞, mostly because of stereotypes so it’s great to see someone shattering those stereotypes ! Way to go !!
So so true. I have a chronic invisible illness, too. My mobility varies literally step by step, as my joints dislocate constantly, in addition to other comorbid illnesses. Even though it's super inconvenient, a part of me is grateful for my outward appearance on the days when I require the use of more mobility aids. I feel on those days that, "My outsides match my insides." Finally not getting the stink eye for using the elevator, needing to sit down, having strange physical behavior. Society just doesn't get what they don't see. I'm so so grateful Tina got on and got to show her brilliant mind and beautiful self for the rest of the world to finally see. "I/she might only have one match, but I/she can make an explosion!"

I started the support group for my condition (Ehlers Danlos Syndrome) out in Los Angeles to help others find a family that understands, support to be able to keep going and strive for awareness and understanding, and find medical doctors and solutions that help. Helps me and others so much, and I'm very grateful I was able to be the change I needed in my community.
Thanks for making me happy when I need to be the most ! (alone during the holidays) I really wanted to thank 'The Tonight Show' for always being a part of my life and always being there whenever I need them ! Being disabled is a whole new world seeing people get the chance like this makes me more determined than ever not to give up. God Bless

As someone who has worked with "other abled" or as she mentioned "disabled" families for over 3 decades, seeing her brings tears to my eyes! I am so proud !
As a disabled person: There’s no need to put disabled in quotation marks. Disabled is not a dirty word! However, using terms such as “other abled” or “differently abled” is by and large considered ableist in the disability community (yes yes, you’ve worked with disabled folks for three decades, but at the end of the day when the conversation is about us, we should be the one determining how we’re addressed).
Overall it seems as if you missed Friml’s excellent points regarding “suffering from people” and “people finding every little thing she does inspiring” when your takeaway was tearing up with pride just by seeing her rather than simply enjoying the comedy and actually listening to what she said.
She was absolutely wonderful.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE...
I am glad that there are more and more comedians with disabilities to reduce but improve our stigmas in order to show that we can have jokes about us from others and that we also dare to make them about ourselves or about our lives with others. a disabilty! I also have cerebral palsy and I think this is more difficult than it seems because I have the humor and self-mockery like these types of comedians and I am also clever otherwise, as far as I know, I would have been the Dutch version of her. starting in cafes before I become famous😂
