I bought and received my Theatre U’s yesterday, absolutely loving them. Music is better than I thought. I have a hearing impairment ( 3% ) in R ear. I have bought numerous headphones over recent years. This product manages to compensate for my hearing loss, love them, thoroughly recommend 🎵🎵🎵💥💥💥💥💥
Nice review, and glad you talked about both models, I was confused and worried that the newer model wouldn't be the same thing improved, but something different.
Good question. Sorry for the late response. It's refined and is a pliable material. So it's not cold and hard. BUT, that lost a little bit of bass. And I think they stay in place fine for me. The neckband is moveable to it curves into your neck.
It is amazing, even better than the Bose because it has Atmos. The sound is very balanced, with great bass and a very stable BT connection. I also have a Monster Boomerang which is great for the price, I prefer Monster's shape, too much bass, and awful BT stability. If you can afford the Sony Bravia definitely go for it!
I'd love a video on setting these up with the Sony app you mention. Just unboxed and downloaded the Sony | Bravia Connect app, version 3.0.1, but the Theatre U isn't listed as a supported device and can't be discovered. Would be great to know how you got that to work.
Hello. I read on Sony's website that these are best paired with a Sony Bravia TV with Dolby Atmos. I was wondering if I paired them with the bluetooth on my new, but lower end Samsung tv, are they equipped with a processor that will produce virtualized surround sound from the tv's stereo sound? I can't find and answer on Sony's website, so hopefully you can answer my question. Thank you.
I just bought Monster Boomerang Petite but the sound quality is not as good as I expected, I'm thinking of buying a Sony Bravia Theater U but I don't know whether it is worth to pay 4-5 x money for Sony
I was also wondering what the difference is between these two models since the price is the same so thanks for explaining. One question: I saw an unboxing video of the Theater U and there did not appear to be the little round wireless unit that came with the NS7. Can you confirm the new model does not include this? Also, I'd like to use this with a Sony Bluray player connected to my projector. I think you could connect the NS7 via an optical cable to a bluray player. Can the Theater U also be connected this way?
Sorry for the late reply. It does NOT have the wireless unit. You could connect with the optical cable with the old but no with this. Just bluetooth here. I think you can USB with PS5 controller.
Hi, the speakers don't have ANC, so the microphone picks up everything around? I wonder if it will work for phone calls, but I'm not sure about the microphone's operation. Can someone write something more about it?
@@TinyTunesTime-v9t that’s a good point/question. I personally have never used it for calls. I might try that this week and if I do, I will reply back with what I hear.

Thx 🙏! Very curious about this product. Not many reviews though. How does it stay in position when sitting more in sideward lounge position? I have problems (lip sync issues) with my AirPods Pro connected to Apple TV 4K running on my Bravia 9 TV. So I was thinking of trying a Sony headphone directly connected to the tv instead. With respect to hearing the surroundings, many noise canceling headphones have transparency mode. So I am leaning towards the MX5 instead. Have you compared them by any chance?
I have not compared them. Personally, I lay sideways a bunch and it seems fine to me. I was surprised actually because I thought it would block the sound but I haven't noticed a change. And I've never had sync issues and I have a Bravia with Apple TV 4K as well. I think it works BEAUTIFULLY
Bass isn't crazy on either but withe the sound encapsulating you, I don't miss it. And this is from a guy who LOVES bass. So hands down, if the stay the same price, get the Theater U!
As someone who owns both devices, do you also experience a difference in volume between them? With the U, I need to set the volume to just over half a bar, while with the S7, it's set to just below half a bar to achieve the same volume level. I'm using Android. Additionally, the sound is clearer on the U compared to the S7, but the bass is barely noticeable on the U compared to the S7. I'm not sure how well it would work for watching movies.
