In general, how well does this play solitaire? Does the system make a reasonable opponent? Based on what you said early in the video it sounds like I could control two factions and compete against the other two using the game system. Is it actually fun or just a bunch of bookkeeping that way.? Thanks!

Personally I don't like to play solitaire systems, because it feels too much like a chore for that very reason. The COIN bots I tested, posed an interesting challenge though. As I seldomly get an opportunity to play live, I prefer to find companions on BGG and play online via Vassal.

I swear I was born in the wrong time. I would buy games like this when I was in high school Avalon Hill type of games..................I swear I never found anyone that was willing to go through the complexity of the game with me. Even my cousin who later vacationed at civil war national parks did not want to play avalon hill civil war. At my high school even the kids in the Chess Club found my games "tiresome".

I was born in '84 and I live in Switzerland. It's still difficult to find playing companions. People have to be very interested in history, like complex games, and understand English well enough. Younger people also often prefer video games these days.
