Thanks for a great video. This has been on my shelf of shame for too long. You are explaining the turns very well and easy to follow. Now on to Turn 2 video!
Glad someone is doing this, I am getting ready to play this weekend for my birthday. I have had this game for almost a year but my son was born and I've been too busy to learn new games until now
Good stuff! I think the Regulars Advantage refers to the psychological aspect that existed in the real war. In early battles, many patriots were terrified because the British regulars were some of the toughest soldiers around, so if there was a battle where they won decisively, such as killing 3 CUs, it would help ease their minds
Just got to play today finally after many months of waiting! Man so much depth although after the game was played I went from thinking it was slightly British favored to now thinking it's slightly Colonial favored. The British are basically almost impossible to beat without a loaded deck on the coasts but as soon as they get away from their precious ports their advantages start to wilt. Meanwhile the more numerous generals and armies of the colonists are able to swarm the country side and rack up territory while saving best op cards for PC placement. British need their best op card just to be able to activate all their starting generals so they are stuck deciding between getting army moving or catching up in the politics game. Great game and can't wait to play again.
It's possible you caught it later on the video and I didn't notice, but I believe you made a small mistake during the variable setup for the British - after placing the 3 British control markers (the hexagons) you forgot to adjust the Control Track (the track with the 13 Colonies and Canada)

This helped a lot when I was learning the game. Thanks for the time and effort to do this excellent video
That wilderness line represents Arnold's grueling march to Quebec thru the (then) howling wilderness of Maine. Only he was crazy enough to try it.

Good to see a new video out, I've been looking forward to it. Thanks
I enjoy your videos and always look forward to the next.
looks like Hannibal: Rome vs Carthage set up in the AWI period... or, actually, H: R vs C is a WtP in the Punic wars' period.

Great demonstration!
WOW NICE VIDEO.
Incidentally, it's General Lord "How"....not "Ho". Also, thanks for inspiring me to play this game. Love your videos.

+עומר הרץ Yes, thanks. I did later catch that display up to the current state.
i need to get the rules out for this one again
Keep it up!
Nice video but... ”First card driven game”?
Wait, what?
Washington’s War is not even first card driven war game. Not even close.
Well I did say right after that "more accurately the first Mark Herman style card driven game..." ;)
