I’m not a fan of what hockey operations in Boston is doing but at the end of the day, they’re in the business to win and they feel this kid csn help them win. Hopefully he does show that he’s grown up and left that unpleasantness behind him. People are still miffed he hasn’t publicslly apologized to his victim and that’s understandable. Hopefully thst comes as well well with time. Don’t forget Kane took a while to address his run in with the cab driver in his rookie season but he did eventually come around,

I totally agree, but I do not feel the actions of a 14 year old, no doubt immature and totally unacceptable, should have to loose his opportunities for the rest of his life. It was horrible, Miller has accepted responsibility, has apologized, and has taken positive steps to ensure his behavior never occurs again to anyone. There should be time that he can be forgiven and be permitted to enjoy a successful and productive. Batman’s comments were without full consultation with the entire NHL management. He’s not a Judge, Jury, nor an executioner. In todays society, there’s a lot of contempt. Give this young man a chance. He has been trying to be a much better person, and if he is, let him succeed. There has to be players and others in the NHL with skeletons, they are pretty worried right now. People that make mistakes in their young life have to know there is such a thing as repentance and forgiveness, or much worse issues or consequences could surface. You don’t have to be an expert to know what I mean. Give the guy a chance.

In the case of Miller, he is currently experiencing social backlash (for good reason), but that does not mean his life is over and he'll never be able to do anything again. He can start by actually showing some remorse and properly apologizing to the family (just like the other kid who was bullying Isaiah did).
