  • This virtual tour of a water resource recovery facility-commonly called a wastewater treatment plant-discusses how these facilities recycle the water and waste we flush down the drain. Water resource recovery facilities can also recover nutrients, generate energy, and create biosolids for use as fertilizer. This tour takes viewers through primary, secondary, and advanced treatment as well as the plant headworks and biosolids treatment process. It was developed by the Water Environment Federation and Gage 3D Studios (www.gage3d.com).

    As for I had taken tours before of waste water treatment facilities, I could definitely imagine how the process goes as well as how complicated the procedures are to get the water back to the stage of being clean.

      Disinfected wastewater effluent is 100% drinkable, it just has a stigma attatched due to its origin. The biological gases don't carry microbes very far (you're way too far), and the waste particles from the burning of methane are co2 and water. Totally safe.

    Unbelievable thay ad fluoride and chlorine to the drinkingwater in the USA.

    • @jextra1313
      @jextra1313 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      These chemicals are here to protect you. Chlorine (or chloramine) dissipates over time, and keeps the water free of bacteria as it travels to your home.
      Fluoride is applied in plants if the municipality decides it's ok. Pro: protects enamel, offsetting the acidic american diet. Con: poison in large doses. Understand that fluoride exists in untreated water anyways, and the concentration coming out of the plant is very low.

    Instead of showing the manufactured balls of red, green, etc all colour and making artificial video. It will be lot better if the video is actually shot at the site of waste water treatment plant (from flush to finish ie to disposal of clear water back to its original source) . explaining & showing every phase at the treatment plant. Showing these coloured balls ( for particles) is no good. Please reload, another video. Show & explain the actual video from treatment plant. . B.S.Dharni
