Biggie actually made his song after Tupac Shakur was in jail and shot. Tupac Shakur kept getting info saying who new about it while he was in prison. He was piss angry and hurt. Because him and Biggie were once friends. This wasn't East and West coast beef. This was a issue between friends and people started putting in their opinions.

You asked what happened. The brief overview:
2pac was friends with Biggie and even gave him industry advice. During a visit to NY, he stopped by biggie's recording studio. When he entered the lobby he was jumped and shot 5 times. Biggie and company denied any involvement. But while pac was still recovering from his wounds in prison (he was jumped while out on bail) Biggie dropped the song "who shot ya". A song where Biggie brags about literally shooting his competition and standing over them as they die, making him the sole king. While they claimed the song was unrelated, and had been written earlier, everyone knew what it would look like to drop it after pac had just been set up and shot in biggie's building.
As you can see. Pac took being nearly MURDERED by someone he considered to be a friend very personally. The day he got out of jail he recorded hit em up.
I know it's aggressive, but what would you say to the man who tried to have you killed and then sold records mocking your pain?

One thing you should know about 2Pac is he takes ALOT of things seriously. One of them is LOYALTY. 2Pac and Biggie were the best of friends. 2Pac putted Biggie on and got him into rap. One time at the Bad Boys Records label he got shot at 5 times. When they were preparing to load him into the ambulance he stuck two middle fingers up at P Diddy and Big. He never claimed that Biggie set it up but he knows who’s responsible and that hurted 2Pac. 2Pac went on interviews and talked about it and then a bunch of the East Coast rappers were bringing their piece into the matter and 2Pac didn’t like that.

Tupac was supposed to meet Biggie and his crew at Quad Studios NYC. Upon arrival Pac and his people were robbed and Pac was shot 5x. He thought Biggie had something to do with it. So that’s where the beef started

Tupac always considered Biggie like his little brother. He even says so in some interviews, you can see how he's hurt about the beef they had

You have to understand back in the 90s self respect and self pride was taken very seriously and rap beefs were real...not like these soft ass rap beef nowadays..I wish it was that easy to come together but with everything going on and fast money it's easy to get side tracked

    • @ManiacallyQuiet

@@ManiacallyQuiet exactly like why so many people want rappers to be genuinely beefed out? It’s weird.

This was dropped after Pac got out of prison. He was sentenced after he was shot 5 times at a studio Biggie & Diddy were at. Biggie knew the guys who robbed and shot Tupac but didn’t say anything before or after it. They were best friends before that so Pac was extremely hurt and angry Biggie allowed that to happen to him.
