you forget about Darius Slay earlier this year😭 matched up against Jefferson, Jefferson had 6 targets, Slay picked off 2 of the 6 and almost picked off another 3, then broke up the last. slay allowed a 0.0 passer rating matched up against Jefferson.

No corner on the team is close to that level. They might be showing promise... but they are also showing inexperience (ie... Jack Jones). No one on the team could hold Justin Jefferson in that game. No one on our time can hold Devante Adams... or Diggs in Buffalo. That's why a number 1 corner (alpha male) is very beneficial. We don't have that
That hit at 5:50 is brutal. I can see Gilmore is trying to lead with his shoulder. Not necessarily dirty. But his helmet hit the bottom of JJ's facemask, in the air, with Gilmore off the ground too having "launched" at him... definitely a good penalty call. Not necessarily dirty by intention, but brutal-looking and a penalty by rule.

Gilmore is still him, in the snaps they played man Gilmore had jettas on straps besides that TD. IMO he is a first ballot HOF, him and Pat Pete are the only true lockdown CBS since Revis, and their longevity helps their case for the HOF too

Justin is one of those receivers where he's going to get in the endzone. What the coaches try to do is get mismatches which is why JJ got 123 total yds. There wasn't a single CB that locked down JJ. But you can make a case that Gillmore was among those who made JJ work for it.
