Swiss Ghost Along in Marginal Conditions | April 20th | America's Cup

- Blue skies, flat water, temperate air and a light breeze that barely registered above 8 knots made Saturday afternoon in Barcelona a tricky prospect for Alinghi Red Bull Racing’s continued commissioning of BoatOne. In conditions that would have been un-sailable in 'BoatZero', they made the best of it in the AC75 they’ve internally nicknamed as the ‘Batmobile’ that certainly appears to have all the firepower of its comic creation.

Great to FINALLY have teams narration/commentary reports WHILE showing us video footage vs mostly someone's face talking 😷🤧 🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿
ngl I think their boat is actually looking really slick it seems to lose way less speed than others when touching down momentarily which will mean less likely to fully fall off foils out of a maneuver, easier to get back going in marginal conditions and less impacted by the waves. crew work definitely not up to snuff but that's to be expected at this stage
how many new boats have you seen touching down until now ?
@@ruggericci it's marginal conditions with a little swell literally any team would be touching down. plus the touchdowns mainly come from human error and I already said the crew work doesn't look up to snuff (which is to be expected it's still early days for the race boat) I was mainly talking about boat design.

Etnz supporter here . So hard to know who will be challenging, this is so good
These boats are the third generation AC 75 everyone now knows what is fast so they should be quicker while more closely matched. They have the agility to allow for traditional racing tactics while crewed by the best talent on the planet there is a lot at stake with the winner taking all its going to be drag-em-down brutal and epic bring it on !!!
The Americas cup never fails to astonish me. X o x o
She’s a stunning design, good luck
It's like a giant International Moth hull with a wide deck on top. Looking pretty decent in light breeze!
Most brilliant information/ interesting asking the right questions, good interview with the right person.
Looking good - smooth and slippery
Now that I got a good look at her from every angle the team highly optimized the hull shape for aerodynamics. Slippery design
Very wet tacks but super light out there today. It’s gonna be a great cup!
Very smooth takeoffs!
The hydrodynamics are doing well.
Beautiful looking boat
As a kiwi I’m looking on anxiously. Our greatest asset was home waters which wisely or not ETNZ sacrificed to grow the class and pay it staff, which they have throughly earned. Like what I’m seeing here on The Hauraki but they have to box Taihoro up and ship her which will take months. Fortunately many of the sailors will be busy with SailGP, go the Black Foils, so I’m guessing August/September before we see any boats new foiled and final crew out there on the water. I’m glad ETNZ get to watch all the other teams battle first. Holder’s advantage as it has always been and what makes it so special to win.
1 July sailing in Barcelona is the target. It's going on a zespri ship with kiwifruit. 6 weeks travel time.
@@andrewwiffen1900 sailgp final is 14-15 July so I can’t see it sailing before then. But guess what, I’ve been wrong before.
Only serious time concern is getting through Suez
Why can't they fly it out.
It will be expensive but they surely need time on the course
@@dugaldsinclair7480they have had trouble shipping before you would think fly it up!?
LOVE
Not quite as beautiful as the Kiwi boat - but my bias may be showing.
Let's get it on!
Nah not rusty they are doing it purposely, seeing how long it takes to recover
ooowee!!!roger fedderer dontcha love it this boat is the preetiest and she loos fast
Ma di notte la mettono nella bat caverna?
This is the Bat(man) boat. Or batmoboat?
Batboat
Loooks stealthy. Lets see.......
Hmmmm, not one tack or gybe without falling off the foils.. I guess the Swiss are a bit rusty..
Open your eyes, how much wind do you see there ?
Race conditions
The boat looks perfectly capable of foiling maneuvers in that marginal light stuff, they will sort that out with a few more sessions.
It was 10 knots of wind?
*GLORY!!!I'm favoured, $255k every 3weeks! I can now afford anything and also support God's work and the church.*
As a beginner, it's essential for you to have a mentor to keep you accountable. I'm guided by a widely known crypto professional.
I'm surprised that this same name is being mentioned here, I stumbled upon one of his clients testimonies on CNBC news last week.
How can I participate in this? I sincerely aspire to establish a secure financial future and am eager to participate. Who is the driving force behind your success?
Yeah, 253k from Angelia Marie, looking up to acquire a new House, blessings.
