  • Obsidian. Apache Tears. Natural Glass. One and the same, and it polishes up beautifully.

They turned out great. It was fun to see you try the cerium and the diamond polish comparro. There's got to be the right dance, since so many people love it, but I haven't found the jam yet either. The fact you brought them in at .01 difference is insane! Always love the details you include and learn something with every video. Jeff is right, the cut is so interesting with the shape and movement, perfect for those stones. Cheers!

What a challenge making a set of stones that are pretty much identical. They look awesome!

Wow! I think they came out beautifully! With as many stops and starts as there were, and im sure, headaches and swear words, all in all you finished both stones and the really look beautiful. I think the cut that you chose for these two is amazing and it accents the smoky nature of obsidian. They are gorgeous Patrick!

I have two also, but mine are HUGE compared to those. Like palm stones, I want to try making a intaglios with them since all I have is a dremel

@@thecave.-.Quovadis oh! It's generally called the handpiece. Mine came with the machine. I think you can buy new ones direct if you contact raytech-shaw, but there are many similar models available online. The Sterling brand is also good from what I hear. Search for "handpiece faceter" for many options.
