Bajuni Amen then are we going to build with the same avidity and non sense as westerns have build their own countries ... making the same sort of damages ?? or are we going to try to avoid those errors ??? Just thinking about agro foods industry in some western countries : the big failure ever !! ( Monsanto , pesticide , herbicide , soil destructions .... etc ) interesting to assess Africa from that perspective 👨🏾‍⚕️ ..,

Dr Harnet you’re great! You know I’m your biggest fan. Now I think while you have such wonderful ideas, I’m sorry to say that the model is very Western. Our methods in Africa are rudimentary but I think we have to develop them through such medium. Yes your ideas will attract the diaspora but when we go back you’d be long gone and we find ourselves face to face with monster politicians who have organized gangs to rob you at the twinkle of an eye. From the president to the petty village thief who calls himself chief, you will enter the cancerous pain of corruption! Don’t forget that we are dealing with a continent where the school supply office is the headmaster’s house and the central bank is in Paris! We are doomed ma’am. Dangote is surviving because he is part of the cartel. I suggest you establish a political base and once you have a political affiliation you start cleaning the house from there. We need all sectors in Africa to be heavily subsidized. But also we need people like yourself we can trust! Buffet, Gates, etc cannot engage with us because they see diaper wearing kleptomaniacs at the helm of our institutions

In Europe and all other parts of the world, there is more than abundance of food grown in Africa countries
If there can be BAlANCE then it's okay
Farmer's FIRST produce abundance before flooding the world with food
But now there is no balance
Locals don't have access to food grown because of exportation reason BECAUSE of temptations of foreign currency
      Balance is needed
There are some countries that don't produce oil but have oil in abundance something is wrong

It was an interest in video until she start talking about currency. Imo this is the problem with African descendants globally, we are educated by European so all we can reproduce is European thoughts and European modes of operation. until we are decolonized mentally spiritually and emotionally what else can we produce. It is impossible for Africa to ever grow under the Paradigm of European methods of operations, because thoses operations must keep Europe in a controlling dominant position. This is where understanding Marimba Ani work is critical. She has an excellent understanding European business models and it may be successful monetarily for some. To be perfectly honest as the mentality of our people are 99% this way maybe this is the only option. Anyway I think this is the disconnect some of us listening have because something inside of us tells us that this is not right. Quite interesting I'm going over the park in her book about how the asili of the western world try to diminish emotion by replacing it with intellect a separation of the true self. Moving on even though it's the right way to make money in the system as it is constructed, unfortunately some of us want to destroy this system even if we don't know how or what to replace it with. Foe me something innately inside of me tells me this is not it. Maybe not her method but her overall political and ideological point of view.
But this is the challenge for people who feel that way since something inside of us tells us this European way is not working we must produce something that does some type of alternative. But if the masses of the people are not educated implementing it will achieve nothing. So again she offers the only clear solution which is submission to the system and the reward is monetary. I'm not saying anything about her personally because I think her heart perhaps is in the right place, something's just off and it's quite possibly me. But when someone tries to tell me don't be emotional be intellectual I know where that stems from because we are both intellect and emotion you can't separate them and by thinking you can surely tells me you have been thoroughly convinced under European education. This is the prime example of what's wrong with us as people the self no longer is a cosmic being but it's become a thinking man. It is no longer one with the universe it's an observer of the universe. So it devalues emotion because it must become objective. it must become independent because reason must dominate emotion. Remember you see this in the European action, thought, and religion. It must always be about domination and control mind vs. Body, Spirit vs. Flesh, poor vs rich economic prosperity vs sovereignty. Sovereignty will never come through dependency I don't know how many generations we have to repeat the same cycle over and over again trying to think economics will change our structure of the dynamic of our existence we go from religion to education to economics over and over and over again for hundreds of years

    • @dr.harnet466
      @dr.harnet466  5 ปีที่แล้ว +10

Dear Mwariama, thank you so much for sharing your view and initiating a thought-provoking discussion. I actually agree with you to a great extent.
As I understand you want to break down global economic dynamics - in which Africa is more often than not sitting at the loosing end- and you want to replace it with a new form of hierarchy and power dynamic. I am absolutely for it. I support intra-African trade, I support African countries getting rid of colonial names, Africa becoming one trade region, and languages like Swahili becoming official African languages among other. I support business in Africa such as MPesa and many more that have disrupted such power structures.
On the contrary, I do not believe that 50+ currencies in Africa will be able to dominate the global market any time soon - I also believe that we are in the age of globalization and Africa needs to be part of that. Albeit this needs to happen on Africa's terms - and we may soon see a single market currency for the continent or African block chain transactions - it is a long way to go. It is a process that cannot be achieved in a day. Until then: Africa heavily depends on hard foreign currency - if we like it or not, because no African state can rely 100% on its own currency. Even when trading with neighbouring countries in Africa, you still need US$. That can to a great extent be earned through African exports where value is added INSIDE Africa through local manufacturing and through ethical tourism. I promote both, as both are in my view industries that will create jobs and empower the continent.
Having said that, my video only focuses on a small aspect within those industries that some entrepreneurs can adopt - I am not focusing on a national agenda here. We are producing a lot of local food in Africa. What is needed here are ways to access, preserve, and transport that food as millions of tons of fresh produce ends up as waste. I shall do a video about this too. Keep marching, we need to all come together and do the work in our own humble ways.

Mwariama Sankara have you heard of overcoming barriers why do we have to excuse ourself from succeeding. Dr Harnett has not mentioned anything about involving Europeans apart from them being some of the tourists.

Celebrated Woman I don't really even think you understood my comment or understood her comment. My whole post was about overcoming barriers the mental barriers of thinking that what you have is less than what everyone else has. Africa is in debt to European countries to the point where they can never pay back the interest on the loans but at the same time they can still borrow money from China this is because we do not understand the value of what we have. So I most definitely am talking about overcoming barriers mental barriers and she did not specifically say Europeans but she said foreign currency what in the world do you think that is good grief.

Celebrated Woman again to be clear we are still making the same mistake we made thousands of years ago of thinking someone else's goods are more valuable than our own. thinking that your currency is less valuable than someone else's shows the mental slavery we are under because monetary money only holds value in the mind of the holder it has no intrinsic value. So again my whole post was talking about breaking barriers but if you do not understand the pan-african Viewpoint I'm speaking up you will have that thinking you are demonstrating in my opinion. Again let me reiterate even though I disagree with this on a spiritual level an emotional level at philosophical and political level I do acknowledge we have no other alternative because our people are still in mental bondage we still are divided in the same state created by the Europeans practice the same religion the same government same sexuality nothing has changed from 400 years ago until today. So again you are absolutely right we are talkin about breaking barriers but not the barriers someone else has put told us we need to break and as a form of control.

Thank you for this sobering message. I've been to Tanzania 4 times and I had to deal with some government/ child welfare. It was a long process in months and tedious for something that should take 10 min.
I'm trying to decide whether or not to move to Tanzania from Canada and have some agricultural business. I grew up on a farm in Poland and worked most of my life living there . Soil, dirt cow dung is not scary to me . I'm also a health therapist so I could probably have a private clinic in town but love in a rural area for the peace fresh air, and space .
Reading your message makes me think and reach deeper into my conscience if what I'm thinking has any grounds.
My friends have some land that they offer to me to build and cultivate the land but they don't have any money besides the land . I was already scammed in Tanzania for about $8000 and I still feel the pain especially the funds were not mine but raised for children with disabilities.
I lost trust to people where money is concerned .
I'm concerned that I will invest and build on someone else's land then I will be told to get out . I can't just put a building on my back and leave .
