Totally agree witht his. I got into the game last week and I'm having a hard timing finding out what warbands would fit my playstyle. Curruntly I've been going for looks only so I'm sure a couple of the warbands I bought will not be played because they don't fit my playstyle. Also how much can a deck effect the playstyle of a warband? A seperate video with some examples could really be helpfull. Keep up the great content!
Don't fret, mate! Most wb's can pull off hold & aggro respectively pretty well. Only thing I would, at the top of my head opt against is to try to play hold with 3-man warbands or any warband that contains a large portion of beasts (ie Blackpowders or The Exiled Dead) And the deck can make a HUGE difference. Obviously what universal cards you have available matters. But i'll definately use both of your's ideas for a future video(s) @@FrederikDhaemer
Great introductory video to the different styles and warbands! Totally agree with your advice of playing the warbands you like in a style you like, I always think people are more likely to enjoy (and stick with) a game if they're using something they like 🙂
Ah, nice one! After taking a few days off this was a great video to come back to! The Headman’s Curse was my first warband, and boy were they great to learn the game with. Easy aggro…condemn….execute! Hahaha Their deck was decent enough to just use on its own. I’ll be sharing this video with the others that started learning with me and one other who is on the fence about starting! More of these, please!
Well, I talk about this in general terms in the video (ie elite warbands more suited for aggro) . No team is designed with only one viable playstyle though but rather, and this is even more so true for newer warbands, most warband's decks have cards that could support several playstyles depending on how you complement them in nemesis or championship.
Hello, I have a question about Cyrenia's Razors warband. If I play in nemesis mode and combine their deck with Voidcursed Trall's deck, if I designate Alathyrr or Renglaiyh as the one to be voidcoursed, will they also defend on dodge when inspired?
My bet would be on the Voidcursed card but per the rulebook (and the recent faq which doesnt exactly give this example but rather armor of ice AFTER voidcursed) p43 (setting charecteristics) the latest effect that set the characteristic would be the one that takes effect. But my gut feeling says that simple filipping a fighter card to revert the effect makes the voidcurse effect weaker than intended atleast. Further clarification may be needed but maybe a player from a recent tournament can chime in! Great question.
Cheers! While I get that, there's alot of information to listen to while the text allready not only replicates but also complements what I say, I took the decision that imagery aswell on top of that would be too much of an attention splitter. I do agree that imagery, generally speaking, does alot (and I use alot of card art and explaining rules overlays in my bat reps etc) I purposefully strayed away from it here =)
Even though I've played an unhealthy amount of underworlds I still absolutely love these kinds of videos!
Unhealthy amounts?! 😂 I'm sure it's about the most sensible thing you can do. And thank you, kindly!
Loved the video, good stuff! Would love to see a video about which playstyle works best for each warband. Might be a good follow-up video to this one!
Great idea!

You're welcome!

For sure! I really wanted to underline that!
That’s a VERY big point many wargamers need to learn! Play what you like and you’ll enjoy your hobby more. 💪🏽

Brand new player. So this is really useful.
Thanks! Welcome to the Underworlds!
How to identify that any warband is in what style?

good video, but probably needs more imagery just for visual interest in addition to the text
