You really gotta get poor Dennis some coffee. It felt like he didn't seem to remember any warscroll ability (not a single heightened sense?), and he forgot the stagger token from delving three times in the first round. Love his painting job though, and he is generally such a good sport. Hope we can see him at his best soon!

I'm a bit confused about what Dennis was doing with myari's attacks at the end there. He kept rolling 2 hammers and saying it was the 1 damage ranged attack. The ranged attack is 4 swords when myari is inspired, the 2 hammers is for his range 2 melee attack. He could have got a couple of kills in round 3.

Ye-yeah! I’ve been digging all of the new rivals decks, except for reckless fury, which I find awkward after the bans. Personally I’m testing the Jawz with wrack and ruin and blazing assault. Those boys hit hard. Thanks for the game!

WAAAAAAAAAAAGH! A fun, bloody fight between orc warbands! I'll echo the sentiment that the Stab-Ladz have been treated quite well by 2.0, and I think this game demonstrated that. Too bad you didn't find an opportunity to use Dirty Tricks, though. It might be sub-optimal, but it sure is funny!

Good game! Just started playing games today after finishing the painting in the Emberwatch and the rats. So far I like all of the rivals decks I’ve tried. They all seem much easier to score than previous decks and quite fun.

Fun match! I keep wanting to pick up the Stabladz but their rules are kinda meh and I'm sad the horn doesn't do anything besides 2 damage :P

I am absolutely digging how you show the names and health of the fighters at the start and after every hit! I love how the Stab-Ladz are doing in this edition. With Krule Stab being a 50% chance for 1dmg, it feels like they often want to either have enemies come to them, or play a position game or lure enemies closer. Grakk's grapple can potentially set up a double Stab, while Jagz seems to be one of those fighters that (mathematically) might prefer to just Krule Stab instead of using his 3 swords. Especially against fighters with more than just 1 Dodge. I am currently building them, so I am intrigued by how other people play them. Double Mastery was very interesting to watch! GG!

Good match, nice to see these two Warbands in action. That desperate rage card is very peculiar isn’t it? Anyone else notice? There’s a Gorger in the photo….wrong game that one. Lol Haven’t noticed that in any other cards, might not be the only one.

Predatory Fighters done as expected.

So I actually think there is the seed of a good idea in their inspire, but then something went terribly wrong in execution. I like the idea of holding objectives contributing to their vampiric control and triggering off of power cards could really fit well with their magical nature. But it should have been triggered by playing the card, not discarding it (which actually makes them seem less magical). I would even buff it further and perhaps give an extra power card draw when Duvall or Gorath inspire. They should be toting more power cards than other warbands, not less.

07:08 - Just to clarify the former confusion; "Rules As Written" it wasn't clear whether you could use Krule Stab ONCE per Action Step (which would've been lame), or once for every enemy next to every of your fighters that qualified (which would've been a MASS stabbing). Now we know that each of your fighters can stab once (if they qualify), which seems reasonable. Still a possible 4 stabs per Round and fighter, if you play the positioning game well. I really like them now. Also them nerfing the SG is criminal, wtf??? They are at a 25% winrate DESPITE being very popular, so it can't even be a statistical hiccup... And I REALLY hope they give us updated PDFs in the future.

Seems like many complaints about the Reckless Fury bans, guess it's because you shouldn't really need to be banning things so soon after printing them. But those are very strong and generally negative experience cards.

It's good to see Spinnin' changed on Snirk. It was really weird for the fanatic to not be hitting their allies.

Why cant i find and download the new crimson court rules anywhere? I can see others on the site but the crimson court is nowhere to be seen

I enjoyed the playthrough and I love the Jaws Models and I think the new strike deck is a lil nicer than blazing assault. Keep up the good work

Played 3 games of the new version in the past week. It’s a lot more balanced which is great. Tried all 6 new rival decks which indeed do play very differently, but some of the cards do feel underwhelming. Difference: in the previous we cannot move a character with a move token, but it doesn’t say in this edition! Does it mean we can double move??

My guess is that a future flex or mastery deck will interact with the discard mechanic, bringing new life to bands like Crimson Court or Daggok’s Stablads. Time will tell.

I love this series! And I am equally disgusted by how they treated the vampires in this edition. You make so many valid points, especially on that dreadful inspire mechanic. What were they thinking??? I have (un)fortunately not yet managed to play against them in either edition of the game - so I doubt I can come up with something better than you. Just for fun I'd like to give it a shot though; __(INSPIRE)__ At the end of every of your Action Steps, inspire up to one friendly fighter that has no Hunger tokens. __(Savage Bloodthrist)__ At the start of every Battle Round give each uninspired friendly fighter a Hunger token. A fighter with 3 or more Hunger tokens uninspires and is Savage. Savage fighters gain +1 Move and can't be on Guard. __(Reckless Feeding - Surge)__ Immediately after a fighter is slain, remove a number of Hunger tokens from adjacent friendly fighters up to the Bounty characteristic of the slain fighter. __(Beastial Transformation - Surge)__ Use this immediately after you pick a friendly fighter to use a Core ability. Until the end of the battle round, that fighter's melee weapons have +1 Attack dice. If that fighter is inspired, uninspire them and give them 3 Hunger tokens. If they are Savage, remove all their Hunger tokens and inspire them. You can only use this ability once per game. __(Vampiric Might - Surge)__ Use this immediately after you pick a weapon as part of a friendly fighter's attack. That weapon has Brutal for that attack. If your fighter is savage, their attack also has Grievous. If the fighter is inspired, the attack also has Cleave and Ensnare. You can only use this ability once per game. __(Tenebrous Form - Surge)__ Use this immediately after a friendly fighter is picked to be the target of an Attack. If that fighter is inspired, give them 1 Guard token. Otherwise their Save characteristic is 1 Dodge per Hunger token for that Attack. You can only use this ability once per game. __(Dark Transfusion - CORE)__ Pick a friendly fighter to use this Core ability. Pick an enemy fighter within 1 hex of that fighter. You can pick an enemy fighter within 2 hexes instead, if that friendly fighter is inspired. Inflict 1 damage on that enemy fighter. Then, if that friendly fighter is uninspired, Heal that friendly fighter. You can only use this ability once per game. No idea if that's better. It feels more thematic and manageable. And yes, the exploit with technically getting up to 5 Dodge is on purpose. Should be okay as a once-per game ability.

I'm afraid they are "to far gone" to be solved in a FAQ, instead needing a complete revamp (pun intended). Which won't happen as they where in the 80 euro box thingies

Excellent batrep guys, always good to see a close one! Great to see the Crimson Court getting play, it's just a shame about their Inspire mechanic. It' also good to see what can happen when Dennis isn't cursed by his dice the entire time!

I think your changes hit the nail on the head. Glissette could easily be put on two dodge with really nothing being taken from anyone else. That wouldn’t break the Warband. Their inspire mechanic was definitely not made better. I’m not sure why they took away their heal mechanic either. It wasn’t broken in first edition and it helped move that inspire mechanic

New mics seem a bit muffled, but the new dice tray is very readable! New dice seemed way more gracious to Dennis, thank Sigmar! Made for a VERY entertaining and thrilling game, up to the last round. Minor nitpicks, once again: 1) The cataclysm tracker is only advanced the FIRST time a FRIENDLY fighter is slain, so in the first BR it should've only worked for Flamespooler, not Duvalle or Spawnmaw. 2) Wreckers requires more damaged AND/OR slain fighters, which I counted as 3 vs a Cataclysm value of 2, so Dennis was correct to score (provided he had advanced his tracker correctly). Minor corrections, as always, please don't take them too hard. I love watching you guys have fun and learn the game alongside all of us. Can't click your videos fast enough!

Your changes are awesome. That’s exactly what the warscroll should’ve looked like. I think the inspiration is so bad and it was sad to see the “heal 1/ping 1 on successful attack” go. Share the pain is also awesome but would make them really annoying to play against. But annoying fits with slaanesh 😊
