In the last 2 years I have made hundreds of these and given them as gifts. I sell Avon and at the beginning of December last year and this year I included these in my customers orders. I have received several requests for these and I actually had a person ask me to make 200 of these for her 9’ Christmas tree. It took week two weeks to make them and she absolutely loves them. I wish I had a picture to include of her tree with them. She had them done in blue and gold and she did her tree in WVU colors.
You made this look so simple that I managed to follow along without using the sound. Thank you. I'm making these as advent calendar stockings to put in my fireplace for my grandsons first Christmas... I'm so excited!
This is so cute! I was looking for an easy to follow tutorial, and this was it. Also, I'm glad I'm not the only one who holds the yarn like that. I'm self taught and people kept telling me I held the yarn oddly.
LOVE this little crocheted stocking. I'm making a bunch, filling them with Christmas candy, wrapped of course, a Candy Cane and giving them as gifts. I also thought about some of those iron on Alphabet letters to personalize the stocking. Too CUTE, thank you !!!
Hi, I'm here to spread awareness for the hard of hearing. With auto-generated subtitles, they will not get as much out of your videos, so it would be great if you could fix those captions with the errors I have found. 0:18 - white to weight 0:19 - in to a 1:30 - imma to and 4:58 - 416 to for 16 3:09 - joint to join 3:50 - say to see 4:25 - soon to single 5:35 - the to in the 7:28 - hill to heel 7:40 - are to have 8:02 - it's to that's 8:22 - word to we're 10:03 - do the could >delete 10:55 - do in to join Please fix these errors to help people who are hard of hearing. Spreading this awareness will go a long way too.
I was super stressed looking for a DIY way to give little cards this christmas and I found your video... The way that you crochet literally calmed me down and now I have an awesome way to decor my gifts. Thanks a lot and Marry Christmas!!
I was taught using a stitchmarker and for some reason the lack of one here, combined with the slip stitch and ch1 and sc in same stitch is confusing me and I end up with 17 ..
Thank you so much for these cute, little stockings; your explanation is easy and clear! I love them and I'been knitting so many in different colors. Thanks for sharing... Merry Christmas !!! 🌲🌲🌲
You are a living doll! I just watched this video, now I must subscribe. Thank you so much. This is just what I needed and I didn't think I could do it before just by reading other patterns. Thank you again! Please have a beautiful day ❤️
I keep getting lost at the heel. After changing back to the primary color and making the first round I end up with 15 stitches. There are 8 around the front but not 7 around the heel. Is this right?
Thanks so much for creating this little stocking. I will be making 6 of these, because I am doing a countdown to my birthday Christmas style and I am crocheting a little Christmas set of different things to show off Christmas in the month of August. So thank you for your stocking idea.
I absolutely LOVE these little stockings!!! I made 25 of them last Christmas for a future advent board for my future grandkids that I hope to have one day 🤣 I would love to see a full size stocking tutorial from you as well 😊
Hello! I just bought your patterns for the advent calendar, but the link on how to make a magic ring isn't working on the PDF. Please help! I tried to find a way to contact you through the Whistle and Ivy website but couldn't find a way.
These are going to be great Christmas presents for family and friends; I have multiple colors of yarn that I am excited to make them out of. Glad I found this!!!
I love them they are so cute thank you for the Tutorial. Nice little gift for the teacher and the family. I done 2 so far I will put some Christmas chocolate in it :D. T hank you so much. It is very easy to follow.
Yeah, I had to mostly rely on the typing at the top. Glad that was there. I also made myself a written-on-paper mini stocking pattern, so I do not have to watch this every time.
Can you make a video showing the steps to make this style stocking in a standard size? I’m not good at changing patterns without a visual aid to teach me first :(
Try using the speed settings? If you press the cog, go on speed, you can slow it down. I don't know if that'll quite help for learning but might be worth a shot :)
Thank you for your suggestions, I had tried already but was getting frustrated. If you guys watch a Bella Coco video you'll understand what speed I'm used to being taught. I'm just not at this level yet, maybe next Xmas 😕

These are so cute and so easy to make, I can't stop making them. They make great ornaments, or decorations on packages. Thank you for the pattern!

I love these little stockings! I found this video years ago and I’ve used this pattern to make dozens and dozens of these little guys.
Love your teaching. You are fun to listen to and easy to follow. Thank you!
I LOVE IT AAA!!! I just struggled with the heel most- but tysm, the readable instructions were easier to read (and follow) compared to other creators
Perfect! So easy to make. Thank you! Making these to go with candy canes for my daughter to give out as gifts.
I'm 12, and I've made multiple of these, super easy and very beautiful, thank you so much!
Anajch :D me too!

Thank you for the tutorial, I managed to make my little stocking...had to improvise a little in some areas but im so happy!
I made these for my coworkers and they absolutely loved them!
You've done it again! Cutest mini stockings on the block!
Still my favorite little stocking pattern! I make them every year so happy the video is still here!! Thank you!
After she turns to red, how manny stitches are those rounds? 16 each or does that first chain and sc count as an increase?
This is so cute! I was looking for an easy to follow tutorial, and this was it. Also, I'm glad I'm not the only one who holds the yarn like that. I'm self taught and people kept telling me I held the yarn oddly.
Zim Vader0017
I hold my yarn this way also. I've tried to hold like others but can't keep the same tension. I'm also self taught. 😊
I hold it this way also and thought I was the only one! Guess there's at least 4 of us 😊
LOVE this little crocheted stocking. I'm making a bunch, filling them with Christmas candy, wrapped of course, a Candy Cane and giving them as gifts. I also thought about some of those iron on Alphabet letters to personalize the stocking. Too CUTE, thank you !!!
How does an iron react to the yarn I have some cute patches but thought it would melt the yarn?
Thanks for the tutorial!! I used this tutorial to make little socks for my newborn baby cousin!
These are adorable! Thanks for the tutorial!

Where do I find the written pattern
I love it! perfect size!
Still my favorite little stocking! Thanks!
Such an easy tutorial to follow. The stockings turned out great!! Thank you.
Love this pattern I’ve made a few now
so cute! What would happen if you just slip stitch to join and not sc in the same stitch?
no written pattern?
It is really good, but please write what each shortcut means.
Adorable! Great tutorial. Thank you!
Love this pattern! So easy and cute!
This looks so cute! I will definetly use this pattern to crochet an Adventskalender dir my Boyfriend this year!😍👍

I absolutely LOVE these little stockings!!! I made 25 of them last Christmas for a future advent board for my future grandkids that I hope to have one day 🤣 I would love to see a full size stocking tutorial from you as well 😊

Easy to follow tutorial even for novices ... I will attempt to make some for this XMAS Thanks so much ☃️✅☃️ !!!!
Love the stocking size and tried making it, but found your verbal directions very confusing.
Yeah, I had to mostly rely on the typing at the top. Glad that was there. I also made myself a written-on-paper mini stocking pattern, so I do not have to watch this every time.
Very cute. Good for family pets and/or kids.
omg that is so darn cute looking, perfect to make and attach to my crocheted christmas beanie hat
My 1st time really crocheting thank you it was very good and my stocking didn't look so bad not as good as yours but ok🤗
Can you make a video showing the steps to make this style stocking in a standard size? I’m not good at changing patterns without a visual aid to teach me first :(
Love these...definitely going to make. Great video💕💕💕
These are so cute but some of the steps were unclear and confusing.

Cool pattern!, I am making a stocking advent calendar
LOVE IT!! Very easy to do!! Thank you😁
Does this work with the plaid mini stocking pattern for the heal? I am stuck on the heal. Thank you.
Hi Bethany. These are adorbs. I would like to make some and probably sell them. Is it ok to borrow your pattern? Thanks
Instead of magic circle, could I chain 8 then join? Me and magic circles don't get along! ;)
Im the same michelle.lol. always replace the magic ring with 3 ch and join. I'm left handed and think it because of that.
@@whistleandivycrochet Thank you! Hearing "magic ring" is like hearing "voldomort--- noooo!"
These are adorable 😍
Is there a reason you sl st to join your rows rather than working in the round? Does it change the look of the pattern? Thanks!
The slip stitch and then chain separates the rows so that it looks like a stack of rings instead of spiral
I wonder? Could I use those little Lion brand Bon Bon skeins for these? Love a reply. Thx. 😊
Did you get a reply? I used that yarn and i believe a size 2.5 or 3.5 hook. Just experiment yes they came out super CUTE! Hope this helps! Debbie
Porque no ponen subtitulo en español???
These are super cute. But VERY difficult to follow the steps. I gave up on mine.
Absolutely gorgeous ❤️
Listening to Bob Dylan and making this is just amazing
This is really cute- thank you!
SO CUTE!
ughh i dont understand the part after the heel
bethany dearden yes do I just continue around the whole Stocking?
Would of been nice if you showed the magic ring more clearly
WOW you have no dislikes!
good on you!
bethany dearden how would you change this pattern to make a regular sized stocking?
Great package toppers!!!
I wish there was a slow version of this for novices because I'm trying to follow but it's too fast 😰🙃
Try using the speed settings? If you press the cog, go on speed, you can slow it down. I don't know if that'll quite help for learning but might be worth a shot :)
I take it back, I'd forgotten how quickly this video goes, I'm not sure it would work, sorry :(
Just pause the video after each step
Thank you for your suggestions, I had tried already but was getting frustrated. If you guys watch a Bella Coco video you'll understand what speed I'm used to being taught. I'm just not at this level yet, maybe next Xmas 😕
U could also play it an take short hand notes with pen an paper. Don’t get discouraged 🙂

Look up planet June's tutorial
Can you go slower and repeat what you're doing verbally?
verbally?
Likewise this

uh this video is very confusing and not a wonderful job of explaining Stiches
what about 2 years
🌞👍👍👍👏👏👏🌞
Too fast, not very well explained as it was all rush rush rush.....
You can set the playback speed to slower if you need
