If you make $100,000/yr or more why not move into the suburbs and get a house instead of an apartment? Same prices except with a mortgage you can start building equity. Unless you work in an industry that requires your physical presence, you can work remotely and save tons of money.
We ultimately will want to move back in a couple years to LA and buy a home there since that’s where our families are. But for now, it makes more sense for us to be on the east coast for work even though we’re remote. Definitely a financial choice that not everyone should or is willing to make!

The kitchen is a decent size and nicely updated, you have in-unit laundry, and there's just about enough closet space for a couple. The view is spectacular, though I'd probably install drapes for privacy after dark. The place is well-furnished and decorated without appearing cluttered. The price is scary for a one-bedroom, but the location and the amenities account for it.
I am Scandinavian so I was really surprised to hear tha it is an unusual thing with two comforters In the U.S. Never thought that it may be a Scandi thing, haha

This looks like your dream apartment in New York City, which you guys have incorporated new ideas into it, added lot of pieces with wonderful furniture decoration. The desk & chair looks good enough to work comfortably from home. The leather sofa pretty much owns the space and the color of the couch contrast the white washed walls beautifully. Me and my boyfriend always fought for the comforter when we had this 200*200 one on a 140 bed. until. we got one that is 240*220 on a 160 bed. There is seriously no gap in the middle whatsoever and we can both have our everything covered.

You need the Sink Topper for your bathroom sink. It’s the best thing ever for small bathroom with no counter space. I got mine on Amazon. You will probably need the large size. I love mine

I am slightly obsessed with those :-) Your appartment is lovely and feels so cosy, thank you for sharing! I don't know if you already found a solution for the bathroom medicine cabinet, but you could get drawer organisers / dividers and put them on their side on the shelves. That way you'll have smaller cubbies to use instead of the high, wasted space inbetween the shelves. It's hard to explain but I hope you get the idea :-) Love from the Netherlands, Karen.

that is a nice place and the price is not bad , considering that prices are falling all around the city , in the building where i work the studios were at 2400 before the pandemic , now you can rent one at 2100 plus one or two months free and we are at midtown east side , of course our building is pre-war
Just FYI - I have that coffee table too. It's IKEA, called Listerby and I think about $200. It's surprisingly sturdy (and heavy) for IKEA stuff (my daughter has been crawling on it for 2 years and it's still fine).
