This is why even today SH2 is held as the greatest psycological horror game of all time. The original game came out in 2001, at the time it was insane for a videogame to touch on these kind of topics, and I remember being a teenager and feeling so confused cause I simply wasn't used to something like this in videogames. The game makes you confront awful trauma but it never does it in a distasteful way, it slowly builds the symbolism and then it shows you the horror of something devastating, but you're not left with something that is there just to be shocking, cause the game never truly shows you the deed, you're left with a meaningful understanding of the terrible things that human beings have to endure, sometimes... or the impossible trauma that a child had to go through by the hands of her own father...
I always cry at the end of that boss fight 🥺 poor Angela.. you asked about her story the first time you met her and here we are... the sad thing is each character enters this city has some kind of trauma and as you said its about your nightmares but if you noticed the newspaper just before was talking about a murderer and its Angeles father.. can't wait for you knowing the story behind each character 👀
Yes her story was more horrific than I could have ever imagined 😢💔 There is a certain type of evil to hurt anyone, but there’s an extra kind of evil to hurt your own child, someone you’re supposed to care for and protect. Can’t wait to share the last two videos of the playthrough with you all. Some of these revelations shocked me ❤️
wow..... What an exhausting sequence😢 I'm really amazed at what they did with Angela's story She is the best character in terms of overall performance in this remake Poor Angela😭 Amazing video as always.☺️
Thank you so much for the donation! You are so generous, I’m super grateful 🥹❤️ Yes this sequence is amazing and heart breaking. They did such a good job depicting such a horrific topic 💔
Getting that code on only your second guess was really fortunate although you surely didn't feel fortunate after all those bugs nibbling on you and then a glitch type bug as well. Kinda good to reload that anyway.
You may have already realized this, but the newspaper you found was about Angela's father, Thomas Orosco, who she stabbed along with her brother (yes, he forced himself on her too) in self defense before fleeing. Also I only just noticed the way the camera frames James coming into the room where Angela is huddled up, like it's trying to show how she sees James and other men due to her trauma from what her father and brother did to her. Another thing I noticed was how she slips into a closet as though to hide from the monster like I imagine she had to do a lot as she grew up, and a bit after that in one of the chase sequences you can slip into a closet too which makes the monster disappear.
Oh I didn’t even know her brother did that too! That’s awful 😭 I did guess in part 8 that she killed her father, but the brother too? How can one family be so evil? 💔 Love your observations here
One of the most stressful episodes turns into one of the most eye-opening and shocking episodes. It's starting to get heavy, ain't it? I didn't expect this game to get so...real, you know? But, not over yet, and you're doing a fantastic job! Things from here on out are gonna mess with your head even more. I know it did with mine. Looking forward to the next one. 😊
Yes I wasn’t expecting to be emotionally devastated at the end of this! 😭💔 I’ve finished the game now and the emotional devastation just keeps on coming doesn’t it? 😅💔
It was so unbelievably horrific. I don’t even want to imagine her pain and trauma over what she went through 😢 I can’t imagine anyone not being disturbed by that sequence, it’s so powerful 💔
@suzannetheraider.hello good evening hope you are well and binxy im now watching this silent hill 2 remake playthrough 6 im so excited to see more of the game and your reactions as you get closer and deeper into the story so sad horrible seeing Maria get murdered by pyramid head ❤😊
That glitch moment 😆 I just laughed so much seeing you be so mesmerized and with that look 🤣 the look of .. "this might normal for Silent Hill"" 🤣🤣 ""is this art??!!"" 🤣
@@alkemistes thank you. I'm really worried 😟 seeing her experience it all so new is part of what's making it so enjoyable to watch and I don't want it to be spoiled for her
@suzannetheraider. after I just finished watching this whole playthrough of this chapter I could see your fear and emotions like you was traumatized by Angela and that horrible monster and when you find out exactly what happened to Angela and what her dad was doing to her so triggering and heart-breaking poor Angela💔. even I was sitting in my computer chair watching with wide eyes and feeling traumatized by this whole end cinematic with James and Angela this game is indeed very deep and intense in story and the characters James meets and learns things about I hope this didn't trigger you too much for a remake its very terrifying and iv only played the original silent hill 2 that after watching your playthrough was in my option a lot worse than the original I'm now onto part 7 😊❤
OMG, just sat down with nice food to the table, what are the odds ! Perfect timing ! Not sure if watching this grotesque environment while eating is the best idea, but hopefully I can handle it ! Full-length movie here we go ! 😀😀 Angela's boss has one of the most disturbing designs I've ever witnessed in a game :< The ending of that fight... the revelation... absolutely traumatizing and horrifying ! 😭😞
Ah I hope you enjoyed the video and your food! Hopefully nothing gross put you off your appetite 😅🙈 ye I’ve never been so shocked and affected by a scene in a video game before. Such a good scene, but absolutely horrific 😢💔
All I know is, it's called Abstract Daddy because we don't know what his (or them, because I believe it's her father and her brother stuck together) really looks like, because what we saw in the game is from James perspective or manifestation about Angela and her story, so I think it's might be different from what Angela seen. I can't even imagine what Abstract Daddy looks like from Angela perspective, with all the pain, trauma and everything she been through, because the Abstract Daddy we saw is already terrifying.
Yay an upload by the wonderful Suzanne best way to wind down for the day ♥️ love the fact that the videos are lengthy. Some of the stuff you read in this game is truly heartbreaking and disturbing it makes you think wow Silent Hill is a place you would never like too visit in real life like forget that crap 😂
i think that scene with Angela was more powerful in OG version, although i like her model in this game more. I have to say that you played really well. + I can see how much you are into this game over a screen. Thanks Suzanne!
To any woman facing abuse or violence: please know you're not alone. Seeking help is hard, but it's a vital step toward freedom and safety. Every day, we're fighting for a better world, one where women have equal opportunities and live without fear. We're tired of violence against women-it has to stop, and it starts with raising our voices and supporting each other. Change is possible, and you're stronger than you know.
@@knot3d_ Violence in any form and against anyone is unacceptable, and those situations absolutely deserve attention too. However, this video focuses on a woman’s experience with abuse, which is why my comment highlights the issue of violence against women. Sadly, women face disproportionate levels of violence globally, which is why initiatives like the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women exist-to address this pervasive problem. I hope we can all agree that raising awareness and supporting survivors, regardless of gender, is essential.
Well said Veronica! Violence against women is unacceptable and happens way too often. I wish I lived in a world where no woman, man or child had to endure this. I wish this evil didn’t exist in the world ❤️🩹
Well 1) Now you see what I meant when I told you that unsettling would be an understatement, 2)Well done you took another step in fugiring out the story and lore and 3) if you think that you are done with the disturbing revelations, I have some bad news for you...
Been enjoying this series so much, but I hate that last part. It's great story wise and up to this point all the enemies are just horrific looking things, but this time you get told pretty clearly what that thing is. I just wanna use the men in black flash thingy on Angela, and maybe a mini game where we can kill her dad over and over.
I agree! I wish we could make Angela forget it all and I wish we could punish her Dad and make him suffer. That is honestly one of the most horrifying and impactful sequences I’ve ever played in a game 💔
Well done you got very good at combat and servial attacking and killing the monster s i loved your showing no fear i loved the im not afraid singging@suzannetheraider❤😊

"I am not afraid...I am not afraid...I am not afraid". I love this mantra beyond imagining.
the last of us: I'm gonna depress you for a whole month.
silent hill 2: hold my beer

I really liked how they fleshed out the prison. Before it was a row of cells and the visitor area. Now we get 7 maps. I enjoyed my time in there :)
Oh so cool that they expanded this area so much 😍
Angela always breaks my heart.

Same. All I can say is same 😭 I can’t even begin to imagine the pain of this. I’m so sorry that such evil exists in the world 💔
Certainly looks traumatizing. This is one of those games that really sticks with you.
