  • Ruminant Nutritionist, Ryan McPolin, explains that in #finishingcattle we would like the pH of the #rumen to be around pH 6. Mag12 is a source of 99% soluble magnesium which helps to keep the rumen at a constant pH to create the ideal harmony between #starch and #fibre digesters.
Gram for gram, #magnesium has 4x the #buffering capacity that calcium has, offering a quick buffering that will persist throughout the 14 hour digestion time of feed passage through the rumen.
Mag12 also offers a calming effect in cattle which is most pronounced in bulls, who would be more prone to bouts of aggression.
