    My 1st bike since high school so... about 18 years. I was sorta worried about being too big for it but no. It's amazing, simply amazing.

    Must agree it's a strong contender. I think it seems like a great all round bike and with Honda's backup network , great. Yet again you give great info and good watching.😊

    How is it that Royal Enfield can make an exhaust system that is both compliant and looks good, yet no one else can?

    One thing to note is that Honda’s dealerships are not what they once were. I walked into our shop in Albuquerque, NM with $2000 to spend on my classic CB400F and got run off with “Your bikes been discontinued. We don’t have any parts for it, and can’t get them.” Ironically, the first and only part I asked for after that was an oil filter - which the kid at the counter said wouldn’t be available - and they had seven. But hey, I can order parts myself, so good bye $2000 for the local dealer. Never going back.

    My observations; Love this bike but
    * Don't like the look of single clocks. I'd miss a rev counter.
    * Would prefer the exhaust completely tucked under the engine like the XJ6 Diversion and ER6F
    * I'm just over 5"1'. An option to have this built with the same frame as the Rebel (seat height 690mm) would be EXCELLENT!!!

    CB500X worth a look, only £700 more.

  • @zyonsdream

    I own a 2023 CB500X that I use for commuting. At 240lbs, I had to replace the rear shock with a stiffer sprung shock but that’s not the bikes fault. The power plant has plenty of grunt to keep me at 75mph on the highway all day long. This scrambler version looks great and I’m sure will perform just like the 500X. For me though, I’ll spend the extra money and opt for the new Transalp. Then I can send my Tracer 9 GT down the road to a new owner.

    • @bultacowally
      @bultacowally ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Can't design it any other way because of the frame design being trellis type and not the old school single backbone type

      Has all the power you'll need & the engineering, if you take the time to learn what it has, is impressive.

      I have the CB500X and it's powerful enough for almost anything,cruises all day at 70/75mph,is agile enough and handles well,it's also no slouch in the twisties.Definitely a bike thay's more than the sum of it's parts and performs far better than the 471cc 47bhp suggests,don't let figures cloud your judgement.

    As the owner of a scrambler, watch out for heat coming off of the muffler. Your passenger will not enjoy having a well done right leg.

    • @CanadaSims
      @CanadaSims 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Honda has done a great job with heat shielding on this bike. Although the foot pegs for the pillion seem to be quite higher on the bike than on most others. Likely because of the funky exhaust.

    They had there chance to make a decent scrambler. They blew it. The tank is wrong and so is the under body exhaust....

    • @bultacowally
      @bultacowally ปีที่แล้ว +1

      whats wrong with under body exhaust??? It was done a lot back in the heydays of on/off road motorcycles. Even by Honda. Worked fine. This is the 21st century there padre' things change...even scramblers. Tank is like it is because of the frame design which is probably light years better than a single backbone frame from yesteryear. Tank holds gas, has rubber pads for your knees to hold, exhaust is fine even for a scrambler. I'd say Honda nailed it considering it is 2023 and scrambler type bikes on the road are mostly asphalt queens anyway. Don't like it... move along. Wish I could get one in USA...
