I like to use my own footage in videos instead of stock footage, so my channel has some videos that are purely my videos of actual animals and some of my drawings that help illustrate points where I don't have footage that sufficiently does the job.
Excellent and informative video..thank you! Last weekend I saw a hedgehog in my tiny middle of a busy town garden. It was still daylight so was concerned that he was out so early? I put out a plate of wet cat food and he/she totally demolished it! ( Ive only just joined youtube because of this experience and my only upload is footage of this noisy eating hedgehog!) I hope I did the right thing giving it cat food?
It sounds like you did the right thing giving it some wet cat food. Normally hedgehogs wouldn't be out during the day unless there's something wrong with them or they've been struggling to get food. Given that you're in a busy town it could be the latter and so you've helped it out giving it something to eat. There are local wildlife rescue centres you can contact if you see it again during the daytime and they'll be able to advise you on what exactly you can do to help (if anything is even needed). There's also a chance it could be a pregnant female getting the last bits of nutrients she can before going to give birth. I'm glad you were able to find my video and it was informative. The whole reason I have this channel is to help people learn all about wildlife we have here!

Hi there. I have 2 hedgehog houses. Under our hedgerow. Both with hogs in them. We've also set up 2 feeding stations.
