Hehehe... You'll figure us out eventually. And even though I know you're not 100% sure, we're fairly sane. Your friend pegged us pretty good on that dance number, though. 😂

    As a christian,
I have tried to support the jews during these horrific times, now there is a BUT this interview does not help you or who you are supposed to be representing with laughter and mocking of Christian believers.
We don't deserve your ridicule. I personally have fasted and prayed for your people, have contacted our jewish community here in England. To try and offer help and also as a church, to reach out to you. Thankfully, there are Rabis, which I have listened to and have felt a genuine connection such as Jonathan Sacks. He was an example, try listening and learn from him.

Brother Adam hasn't ever experienced evangelical Christians before. He is just trying to figure us out. Can't we extend a little good humored grace his way as we all get acquainted?

I've studied Christian theology at university, Bible college, and in a seminary, and I can assure you that if Jews needed to rely on Christians, they be left wanting. Maybe you're the exception, and maybe this Jew is the exception of his people, but any Jew that truly understands the Christian world will have a similar perspective to this man. And if Jews couldn't laugh at themselves they wouldn't have survived! Humour is a great coping mechanism.
Moreover, you say you felt a genuine connection to Jonathan Sacks. He was one of the most divisive Jewish leaders. And while considered by many to be a great intellect, he was so blinded by his arrogance and complete ignorance of Christians and 'Christian thought' that he ended up creating great obstacles to many Halachic Jews being able to get a Jewish education.
I humbly suggest you lighten up, and remember what Christians have done to the Jews! But if you want to do some interfaith with eager religionists, may I suggest the Muslim community. Maybe you can open up another Cathedral to them, and recruit some asylum seekers for baptism so they can commit heinous crimes as Christians and get buried as Muslims? Surely, your own backyard desperately needs your attention!
At least you may come to understand that there can be no genuine interfaith dialogue with people who think their religion replaces yours and you need to convert or go to Hell! And Jews who know anything about Christianity, which maybe luckily for you is actually very few, know that Christianity believes it replaces the Israelite 'religion', and Jews also know that Islam believes it replaces Christianity and Judaism.
If you must side with the enemies of the Jews because you don't like what some Jews have to say, so be it. But, remember that Jesus was a Jew, and an extremely pious and learned Jew. The Lord's Prayer is arguably the embodiment of Israelite belief. He was not a Palestinian. And despite what most Christian Bibles depict, he was not a Palestinian Jew, either. The Romans didn't rename Judea to Palestine, to dissociate Jews from their homeland, until 100 years after the death of Jesus. Jesus knew not Palestine!
If you think you need to like Jews to support them, you are mistaken. You need to support them because it is the right thing to do. If you question that then why have you tried to support the Jews?
Maybe you could also spread the truth about the actual extant international law that says all of the land between the River and the Sea is the Jewish homeland? That international law recognizes Jews as the sole extant indigenous people, and the only people with national rights. Moreover, that Article 80 of the UN Charter says such rights are unalterable. In addition, you could spread the word that Britain created Jordan as a realpolitik Arab State in 1921, that maps from the time showed all the land between the River and the Sea as "Jewish Palestine" and Jordan as "Arab Palestine". And that it is in fact Israel that is engaged in a protracted process of decolonization.
And if you want something about modern British history to actually be ashamed about, how about being ashamed that the British deliberately undermined their own Mandate, that they encouraged Arab immigration and prevented Jewish immigration, that half of the Arabs in Palestine in 1948 were recent immigrants, that like the Americans, the British ordered pilots returning from missions without having released all their bombs whose flight paths flew over Auschwitz not to bomb the train tracks, that Britain sided with the Arabs in 1948-49, with a British general leading the Jordanian army, and with Britain giving early release to Nazi war criminals to train Arab armies, and that Britain has led an unrelenting campaign to obfuscate actual international law, to undermine the UN Charter, to bully Israel, and to delegitimize the State of Israel. The Balfour Declaration was a lie. Balfour was a rabid antisemite who simply wanted Europe judenrein. Britain simply needed Rothschild financing to prosecute the war, and made contradictory promises to the Arabs.
Maybe Britain should take responsibility for the Arab population she encouraged to immigrate? Maybe Britain should take responsibility for everything that UNRWA has done, since it was her idea, and the consequences of her unrelenting delegitimization campaign?
Do you really think British Jews should trust English Christians? The British have at best been fair-weather allies of Israel, and certainly not friends, often using Israel to do Britain's dirty work while disassociating itself. And English Christians have a history of antisemitism that continues to the present.
What you wrote in your post tells Jews that at best your support is fickle!!! Proving what all learned Jews know to be true and what most others suspect to be true!!
Do what is right because you know it's right...or not! The last thing any Jew needs is another fickle 'friend'.
Lastly, please note the words of PLO leader Zuheir Mohsen: "between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese there are no differences. We are all part of one people, the Arab nation [...] Just for political reasons we carefully underwrite our Palestinian identity. Because it is of national interest for the Arabs to advocate the existence of Palestinians to balance Zionism. Yes, the existence of a separate Palestinian identity exists only for tactical reasons." Palestine is a Roman lie to dissociate Jews from their homeland. And the Palestinian people is an Arab lie to dissociate Jews from their homeland. Nothing good comes from such lies!
