On June 5, 2021 we attempted to dine at the Mangy Moose Restaurant in Teton Village, Wyoming.
This place failed in every possible way except a friendly employee in the gift shop. Otherwise - our experience could only be called a complete disaster.
Is this the best restaurant in Teton Village, WY? Absolutely not. Watch this video to find out why.

I was there in august 2021 honestly the food was WAY more upscale than the name would imply and I am a foodie it was terrific
I'm sorry that you had such a bad experience at Mangy Moose. I agree that their first come first served basis is pretty petty. I was there in late September 2019. Still crowded but we did have to wait for 30 minutes before we literally snagged a table. I thought that the food was pretty good. Had a bison meatloaf that certainly filled me. I do remember that we had a hard time finding our server for our tab. She disappeared for about 20 minutes. But overall foodwise it was good. Service/policy is lacking.
I was there in October of 2019. I loved it, but I totally understand the video. People have different experiences. For me, the food was great. And the wait was decent.
I’ve had several dinners at the Mangy Moose & it was great! Things must have changed there! What a shame!
That's too bad. When I was there for a week to go snowboarding in December of 1988 it was great. My grandfather and I went in to have dinner several times (I was 17)
I was really disappointed - it looked like it would be a fun place, but what a disaster it was! I'm glad your experiences were better.
